*knock*knock*knock* “I’m coming” Hank spoke as he groggily headed to open the door, half naked in his pants alone. The door opened to reveal none other than Michelle standing right before him, “Hank are you okay? I was calling all night long. I thought something happened to you last night, why didn’t you pick my calls?” “huh…” was Hank’s intelligent answer.
“what do you mean ‘huh’?” Michelle spoke up confused as to what her cousin meant Hank closed the door seeing as she was already in. “I mean… I just woke up with a serious hangover and have no idea what you are talking about?” hearing his answer Michelle looked at him carefully to see if she could spot anything that could give him away but he genuinely looked clueless as to what she was going on about.
Michelle let out a sigh and began recounting the events of the last night to her cousin, “what about you where did you go last night?” after she finished recounting the events of the previous night, she questioned Hank genuinely curious as to where he was. Hank went on to make up a story of him drinking one too many glasses and ending up back here.
She seemed to buy it as after making sure he was alright she left the manor. Hank kept his harmless smile as she watched him leave but changed back to his cold demeanor as she shut the door.

At Roland’s residence.
The place was now a crime scene, with yellow tapes all around and with police officers all around trying their hardest to figure out just what it was that happened here. Naa moved around the building analyzing the bullet holes in the wall as well as the dagger present, seeing what she saw, an image of what happened the night before formed in her head; the syndicate probably came over to reclaim what ever evidence that linked Roland to them and the vigilante had come over to interfere which caused a fight to ensue now the question was did the syndicate succeed or did the vigilante manage to stop them.

“found anything?” her partner came over drawing her out of her thoughts. “No. Whatever happened here were too late?” “ I wonder what happened here?” “so do I” saying so she took a good look at the commissioner. The commissioner had refused her when she asked to come here Immediately pushing it of till this morning which allowed for whatever happened to happen, she was now suspicious, was the commissioner with the syndicate? and if he was then how many more officers were bought? with that thought she began looking at everyone of the officers around her.
……..
At Thompson Enterprises
Hank stepped out of an elevator. Hank had spent his entire morning trying to open the laptop he had obtained the night before but to no avail, if it was just finding the password, he at least possessed some confidence in eventually cracking the damn thing but with the pc now riddled with bullets his confidence levels had dropped all the way to zero,
Just as it seemed all hope was lost, he remembered the guy he had been in brief contact with the last night, the guy seemed to mention working in an I.T department and even better it was none other tan his companies own I.T department.
Hank inquired about Ferdinand and was now heading straight for him,
Ferdinand on the other hand was seated in his corner office, his entire attention focused on the game he was playing. He just so happened to be playing a round of the popular battle royale game, Player Unknown Battle Grounds commonly known as PUBG.
Totally immersed in his pursuit for victory and snipping a person hiding behind a wall Ferdinand was completely unaware of his surroundings which is why he had no idea that Hank was standing right behind him *erhm*erhm* Hank released a cough which startled Ferdinand.

“Oh my God! Mr. Thompson sir, I was just erhm… I wasn’t playing games or anything you see I was…” Ferdinand began saying anything that popped in his head as he frantically tried to explain as he shut down the game in a flash. Hank chuckled at his antics, “calm down… I’m not your boss, well I am… but not the one in charge of making sure you are doing your Job” *whew* Ferdinand let out a sigh of relief “I did come here for a favor though…” Ferdinand began nodding his head furiously “sure Mr. Thompson, anything.”
“Please call me Hank… I was at the party last night when the gunshots went of and my laptop kind of took a few shots.” Hank brought out the laptop bringing it right in front of Ferdinand who took out his glasses and had a careful look at the laptop seeing the bullet holes he took another look Hank who still had a friendly smile on his face.
“if you don’t mind me asking, I didn’t see you bringing any laptop over that night…” “I had someone bring it over you know how it is I had something important to do. Can you fix it, I have some important files on it.” Ferdinand didn't seem to buy it but seeing as the one before him was his boss and he had just been caught playing games he was quick to agree nodding his head, “no worries sir I have it done in a day tops.”
“Thank you Ferdinand” Hank pat Ferdinand on his shoulder as he began to leave “I owe you one.” After he left Ferdinand took another look at the laptop his suspicion ever growing

So What If The World Is About To End? I Have Side Quests To Finish!
After the world was forever changed by a calamity over a thousand years ago, Litteral "Protagonist" Miles Trainer unlocks his Fate Dissociation System the night of his Class Awakening. With it, reality literally bends to accommodate his pace on the journey to become the Hero of Fate. "So you're saying that until I cross certain points or 'flags' calamity won't strike?" "In other words, unless I make my 'predestined' move, the world will be safe, right? I could just train away for years peacefully until I'm more than strong enough for anything and wreck shit when I damn please?" "Heh, yeah. I 'totally' won't abuse this~" [Author here, Just a forewarning that I'm writing this synopsis and the story without a solid outline/plot/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. The dialogue, here in the synopsis, probably won't ever be directly spoken in the story; though, it might. I only just finished writing the first chapter, so, we'll see.]
8 128The Dawn of Blood
As the saying goes, "Ignorance is bliss." That is a good way to describe us. We are constantly seeking to improve, to evolve. Coming up with laws and theories to better understand the world around us. But what if it was all for naught. What if what we think is truth is nothing more than the actions of higher beings, far beyond our reach. Upon the discovery of an entire new reality, remaining ignorant is certain death. The only way to live is to grow, to evolve, to adapt. This is my first novel so any feedback and criticism is greatly appreciated. I hope that I'm able to grow as a writer through this and hope that people enjoy my work. Credit for the cover image goes to Richard Luong. Check him out at https://tentaclesandteeth.deviantart.com.
8 138Reaper of the Shadows
People die everyday without anyone noticing it. It takes people time to recover from the event. Some follow the victims path, some take vengeance. But, the one responsible for this are Reapers. When people die they only see someone weilding a scythe and before they could see who they are, they died. But one reaper is different. David Maxwell died when he was stabbed in the heart. He thought he would die, but before he can he was offered a chance to become a reaper by the person who killed him. He thought it was somekind of joke and accept since he was gonna die. He then woke up in an unknown room with the person who killed him next to him. Note: I made a few adjustments to the Genres, since i thought deeply about my fiction. Anyways this is just something i do for fun and somewhat of a hobby to me. With those thoughts in mind i hope you like my fiction.
