《Re: Apocalypse Games (GAMELit)》028 - Night
Advertisement
A notification popped into Alan's mind when he saw the beast standing a few meters in front of him. A look of shock flashed through his face.
[Night Wolf]
[Type: Magical Beast]
[Rank: D-]
[Remarks: It's a very, very Savage Creature]
D- rank creature in the first round of the game. This creature was probably the strongest monster anyone would ever see in the first round. Definitely a boss monster.
Alan's facial expression turned solemn as he stared at the beast opposite him.
Even though he had fought much more robust and more terrifying beasts before, the problem was that his current stats were still meager, incomparable to his previous self.
From his many years of experience analyzing the creature's form as well as its magical ability, Alan managed to guess what kind of beast he was currently staring at.
Facing such an opponent, he couldn't fight in a confined space. Hence he quickly turned to Nims and said, "I'll lure the creature away. Can you handle the small ones?"
The level voice of the monk was heard in the air. "Yes. leave them to me."
The first to enter the room were the pack of a dozen gray wolves. It certainly wouldn't be an easy task for Nims to fight all twelve wolves simultaneously, especially with the barricade already burnt. It might even be more demanding than fighting the Alpha wolf, but Alan had to have faith in the former's abilities if the two of them wanted to survive this ordeal.
"Now!"
While Alan rushed through the pack of bloodthirsty wolves, Nims swung his hammer fiercely and struck the wolves that tried to catch up to Alan while allowing himself to be bitten by those charging at him. The monk literally put his body on the line to assist Alan.

Alan shot forward at breakneck speed, leaving the monk behind and heading straight for the enormous black wolf just about to enter the room.
ROOAAAARRRR—
The three-meter tall creature quickly pounced on him. Seeing that, Alan immediately dropped his body and slid across the ground. At the same time, he brandished his knife upwards and carved a cut at the creature's gut.
[Slash: Inflicts 15 Damage]
As drops of blood fell onto his body, Alan's figure continued to slide across the snow past the giant wolf. He succeeded in escaping out of the room and also inflicting a slight wound on the creature.
"Come here, you foul beast! Follow me!"
ROOOAAARRR!!!
The wolf turned around and roared furiously as if understanding what Alan said. Immediately after, it once again breathed freezing air towards him. Alan quickly rolled to dodge, unwilling to let it touch him.
As soon as he stood up, the wolf was already standing before him with its colossal paw swinging at him. Not having time to dodge, Alan could only grit his teeth and brace himself to receive the attack.
BAM!
A piercing pain wrecked through his body as the wolf's sharp claws tore through and sent him hurtling through the air for 10 meters.
[Impact: Claws inflicts 36 Damage]
"Uargh!"
Alan groaned as excruciating pain spread from his chest to the rest of his body. It seemed that the creature was still a bit too much of an opponent for him at the moment. Just four blows from the creature would send him into the abyss, while if he were ever bitten by those gigantic fangs, he would most likely depart for the underworld without having the chance to say any final words.
The wolf slowly approaches him as he gets back to his feet. As if trying to intimidate its prey or play with its food, both of which were him.

He quickly used [Medicated Gauze] and took out a [Chocolate] before quickly eating it up. It had been more than 15 minutes since he had eaten the first one.
[Healing: 49 HP Recovered in 2 minutes]
[Healing: 10 HP and 35% stamina generation in 15 minutes]
A player's consumption was restricted, where they could only consume one food and one medication in the same period of time. Therefore Alan had to be careful and ensure his stamina and health didn't drop too quickly.
Staring at the beast, he beamed a smile and mockingly said, "Is that the best you can do?"
ROAARRRR!!
The enormous beast with fur dark as night lunged at Alan again, cracking the floor as its four feet stomped on. Despite the pain still plaguing his body, Alan maintained his composure and calmly watched as the creature drew nearer.
Just before the creature's claws reached and its heavy body collided with his, Alan instantly threw his body to the side, causing the beast to miss.
He then ran as fast as he could across the street, and as expected, seeing his prey fleeing, the wolf quickly gave chase. Knowing that the beast was right behind, Alan didn't slow down one bit and continued to lure the creature away.
Alan jumps through the glass door of the office building in front and continues running, using the tables and cabinets around to hinder the creatures, which were definitely faster than him.
He again leaped through the glass on the other side of the building, rolling and quickly hiding behind a car half-submerged in ice.
A second later, the huge wolf broke through the glass and continued to leap over the car, flying past above his head.
The creature slowly turned its body around, glaring at what appeared to be a cornered Alan as it bared his sharp fangs.
The beast gave a menacing growl, its teeth ready to tear its prey to pieces. However, unbeknownst to it, Alan had finished preparing something behind his back.
As soon as the beast finally took action, Alan threw down what he had been hiding. A [Liquor Bottle] swiftly flew through the air and landed on the wolf's body.
PRAANKKK!!!
Liquid drenched the wolf's body as the glass bottle shattered. The sweet and distinct aroma of alcohol wafted in the air. While the beast was startled by the unexpected toss, Alan had something else prepared.
He held a [Lighter] in his right hand, while a bottle of hairspray could be seen in another.
A smirk adorned his face as he stared at the three-meter tall creature in front of him.
"Taste my Homemade Flamethrower"
Lighting the lighter and positioning it in front of the hairspray nozzle, a fire burst at the wolf. With flammable liquid all over it, the creature quickly ignited in flames.
ROOOAAAAARRRRR!!!!!
[Burning: Inflicted 10 damages per second]

Swiftly defeated but not dead, he could only lay down on the grass, and watch as Marcus fought off their enemies almost singlehandedly. Both of them survived that battlefield, and they both decided to return back to their Village. Human][Class: ... ... ...] [Hero] [Welcome to the System] What is a village-born Hero to do, but answer his calling? Current schedule: No chapters for the next few months. I'm still writing the entirety of Volume 2. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter

The Long and Exciting Life of Kreet the Kobold (Life 2)
Kreet was originally a D&D character. Life 1 was essentially her backstory. Life 2 picks up just after the events of the D&D campaign in the Underdark. At first you won't recognize the characters, but bear with it for a couple chapters and the few important points will be revealed. Also I stole a player's character (with his permission!) in the form of Sigmundurr. Also, unlike Life 1, I'll be posting this slowly over time. Right now I'm writing around chapter 20 and I suspect I'm only halfway. Tone may be a little different. ( Cover art by KuroNeko I'm pretty sure!)

Frameshift
Magic. Math. Not a whole lot of context. Two months ago, I was a wormhole navigator, ripping open a hole in the universe to save a ship of people who only vaguely tolerated me. Two weeks ago, long story short, I threaded an impossible path through the void between dimensions to crash-land into a dungeon. You know the kind: monsters to defeat, corridors full of traps to avoid, and magical powers to earn. I'm not ashamed to admit that it's been two weeks of loneliness, fear, adrenaline, and constant injury. But I'll make it out of here by myself if I have to, or my name isn't Adam Leviathan James. ... too bad the Levi doesn't stand for Leviathan, huh. AN: Expectations should include in medias res, violence, smut, friendship, and powers/progression systems with absolutely an insufficiency of context and (at least at first) no definitions or explanations, and magic-as-programming/engineering (with something of an emphasis on "what if magical runework were an analogue to circuit diagrams"). This story used to be called "Yet Another Godsforsaken Isekai". Discord server: https://discord.gg/dHh3XMMB4T Cover by the amazing Daedalus of The Way Ahead.

In this life, I will live peacefully
One morning I woke up in an unfamiliar body. How did I end up as some swordsman noble lady? Excellent question; I have no idea. But now that i have money, power and a stable job as the duchess of a nice piece of land, I sure as heck am not going to get back. What's that? Mercenaries are creating monsters with alchemy to insure their jobs won't disappear? The prince of a neighboring kingdom has sent me five marriage proposals this month alone? The Church which I am supposed to represent is running a propaganda campaign against demi-humans? Well, the least I can do is to fix things around my fief. Oh, and just in case anyone decided to go against me, I'll form an alliance with the crafter's guild, and start working on some semblance of modern artillery. Stay tuned, this story is getting re-written. Cover by HWPerfidy
