Ring…. Ring….

Aarv looked at the number and saw that it was from his class monitor.

He let the phone ring for a while and then picked the phone,

"Hello…!"

"Heyyy Aarv, did you hear the news..? The United Nations have decided to end all the real-world conflicts and take them into virtual reality."

On the other side of the phone came a sweet female voice. The voice belonged to Prahi Suryavanshi, Aarv's childhood friend. She belonged to the famous Suryavanshi family in India.

"Ahh yes… I just heard it from my father… How fascinating… "

Aarv absent-mindedly replied to her while lost in his own thoughts.

"Right..? My grandfather bought me the latest virtual reality cabin. What about you..?"

"Me too, my father also bought me the latest gaming cabin."

While chatting, Aarv understood that the news of peace online had already been circulated in the elite circle of the country.

"Which game mode are you choosing Prahi…?"

Aarv curiously asked Prahi. He knew that the Suryawanshi family probably had access to similar information about the game. He also wanted to know which path his childhood friend would take.

"I'm picking the Adventure game mode."

Prahi's reply shocked Aarv. He immediately retorted,

"Why, What happened..?"

Prahi choosing adventure game mode shocked Aarv. In terms of business or logistic knowledge, Prahi was one of the best people that Aarv knew.

"Well, Every major family was only given one lord game mode spot. So, my father passed it to my older brother…"

There was a hidden sadness in her voice. But, she quickly regained her composure and asked Aarv,

"You will pick the lord game mode. Shall I start calling you Lord Aarv from now on…?"

Aarv felt bitter inside after hearing Prahi's sarcastic remarks. He knew that She just wanted to prove to her family that she can do better than her siblings. Aarv could only sigh as he made an offer to Prahi,

"Well, why don't you join this lord's territory then… I won't restrict your freedom…"

After hearing Aarv's offer, there was silence on the other side of the phone. Aarv waited for the reply from Prahi.

"Okay… I agree…"

Prahi took a deep breath and replied to Aarv. After replying, she felt a huge relief as some kind of burden had been lifted off her shoulders. Aarv also felt a huge relief after hearing Prahi's replay.

"That's great, welcome on board milady."

"Hahahaha…"

With both sides laughing, both of them started conversing about their daily life…

That night,

The whole world shook as the United Nations announced a new Virtual Reality game called Peace Online. In their release ceremony, the president said that,

"Due to increasing tension between world countries, we have developed a virtual game called Peace Online. All the future conflicts will be solved virtually through peace online."

After the announcement, all 180 sovereign states signed the document for peace online and accepted terms to cease all military activities for 5 years.

They also agreed to resolve all the conflicts through peace online after the 5 year period was up.

Aarv looked at the news on his computer with shining eyes.

'This is a much bigger event than I previously thought…'

As soon as the news was released, It became a hot topic among the people on earth. Everybody was talking about it. Soon, the official documents regarding Peace Online were also released.

The document contained information about currency, NPC cities and two major game modes. Information regarding supernatural abilities was hidden and circulated among the important people in the country.

Later that night, all the major corporations announced their entry into the peace online. They provided free gaming devices and reasonable salaries to people to play online games. Many major gaming studios also announced mass recruiting campaigns all across the country.

That night was restless for all people in the world. Aarv too was awake the whole night reading all the major historical events that happened in India. He knew that to become a lord game mode player he needed to clear a historical quest.

From what Aarv had read, Historical Quests were a recreation of major historical events that happened in India. It consists of major battles that changed dynasties, Mutinies and famines throughout the history of India. The player needs to change the history in the historical quest to clear the historical quest.

After reading all the major historical documents, Aarv stretched his body and looked at the clock on the wall. It was already 4:00 am in the morning, so Aarv retired for the day.
