《Honest Way of Living》About Mount Deep Forest

Ethan : Mr Hunt, what do you think about this college, especially the one who owned it, the government and elites?
Asfa : Urgh, I was hoping it was something related to our subject. But, I have no problem answering your question from my point of view as a commoner. Ordinary schools out there combined budget won't even be more than Bright College's budget. Colleges funded by the elites will always be better since they can always spend to improve, while ordinary colleges have almost zero chances to improve. That is all I have to say for now.
Asfa took his card key to unlock the hall door, and the waiting students went in. What Ethan asked was a bit rude for any commoner to answer appropriately since it was apparent that the commoner will always be powerless.
Asfa started to take the attendants sharply when the class started. The chances for a student to skip class are almost closed to zero unless they have a necessary thing to do. Since he taught them about strength yesterday, the topic he will be introducing today is related to speed.
The students will be tested on two things for the speed test. The first test will test their running speed, which requires the students to sprint in a 100m run as quickly as possible. After that, the second test will be about their reaction time.
They have to complete the run in less than 10 seconds for the sprint test. For the second test, the students will use a piece of special equipment to test their reaction time. This is because the college knows that it takes a lot of time to improve their student reaction time.
Therefore, most students would focus more on the spriting test since it was compulsory to pass. Asfa has prepared everything needed to teach for the sprinting test. He has to teach the students how to sprint correctly while also raising their lower body strength so that they won't injure themself from practising too hard.

After explaining everything about the test, he went to the highly advanced treadmill provided by the college. It was sitting next to the punching machine. Asfa stepped on the treadmill and started jogging as a warm-up.
The treadmill starts beeping, and Asfa tells his students that the test will be starting soon. When the timer shown on the screen provided by the treadmill hits 0, Asfa starts sprinting. The result of the sprint test is shown on the monitor in front of the students.
Passed
100 meters in 9.99 seconds
Asfa tried his best to get the lowest time to pass the test. He wanted the students to observe and think about what was needed to sprint below 10 seconds. Some of the students seem calm, while some look anxious.
After that, Asfa taught them the technicality of sprinting with the help of a hologram projector provided by the college. It was easier to show them what parts involved in sprinting correctly.
An hour passed, and students could now ask questions before practice. Surprisingly, Olivia and Ethan didn't ask anything. Most of the questions asked were related to the technicality of sprinting.
He continued the class by teaching them some of the lower body exercises they needed to do to improve their lower body strength and endurance. When the students start practising, he would be around to observe and guide them whenever possible.
Asfa realised that Olivia and Ethan were not asking anything today because they were already good enough to pass the sprinting test. Their personal instructor must be experienced since they didn't help or provide guidance at all.
When the class is over, the students start leaving. Asfa looked at the hall to see if Olivia's staying or not, and she had already left before he could notice.
"At least I can do whatever I want now. I hope she is doing fine."
He locked the hall with his card key and went to the library. He wanted to know more about the history of Mount Deep Forest, especially anything related to the magic ball he absorbed yesterday.

Surprisingly, it is easier to find books related to that forest than anything related to Red Scythe. After reading about the forest for an hour, he concluded that :
The total area of the forest covers almost the size of a small country. Only 30% of the forest area has been discovered or explored since the cost and risk for exploration are way too high.
Countless lives have been lost in the Mount Deep Forest, and people started calling it 'The Land of the Death'. There were rumours of ghosts and undead sightings, but the government denied everything. Therefore, some people started to explore the forest to find something valuable for extra money.
There were bandits, killers and human traffickers waiting for people to explore the forest. That was why the forest was never a choice to go for an ordinary people unless they were strong enough to protect themself.
He can't find anything about the magic ball he absorbed yesterday. He assumed that the ball must be something made only in a specific forest area. With minimal information and knowledge, he concluded the magic ball was a sphere of condensed spirit or energy.
Asfa left the library to go around the college before going back home. He realised that the design of the college was well made. It was easy to travel around the college by walking because of the road system. The journey would be pleasing because they are trees planted to produce a natural cooling effect.
During his walk, he realised that there was a laboratory building for students or instructors to use on their own to experiment. People can rent any type of laboratory they want as long as they have enough money.
Asfa stood in front of the laboratory building and used his card key to enter. There is only one pathway from the entrance toward the centre of the building. Asfa walked toward the centre of the building. On his way there, he could see a lot of laboratory doors with numbers.
He is now standing in front of the inquiry counter in the middle of the floor. They are wearing the college's formal uniform, the same as Asfa's but with different patterns.
"Hello there, Mr Hunt! Oh, that wasn't polite of me. I am Felicia, a part-timer who works here. Anything I can do the help you?
Asfa : Hello, Ms Felicia. I am a newly PE instructor hired by the college. So, I am just curious about what types of research are people doing here?
Felicia : Well, we can't really see what they are doing inside to protect their secret. But most of the time, there were related to the subjects taught in this college. Oh, and you can also study your physique here since we have the types of equipment for that.
Asfa : I see. That is new for me. I just didn't realise how advanced we were already. To improve our physique without spending too much time and training every day must be nice to have money.
Felicia : It's normal to feel like that in an elite community. As long as you have enough money, the college will try its best to get the materials needed by the researchers here for the experiment. Trust me. They are good at finding rare things.
Asfa : Well, thanks for the reminder. I will just take this booklet and leave, or I will be late for my train.
Felicia : Haha. It's okay, Mr Hunt. Oh, if you are really in need of money. You can always look at the college forum if there is someone indeed of help.
He took the booklet and left the building to leave the college.
