《Honest Way of Living》Timber

Asfa slowed down his walk and mixed himself within the crowd. He had to think of the best possible action to do right now.
"How can I be this possibly unlucky..."
He has decided to see who is following him right now. So Asfa went to the public toilets at the nearby petrol station since the vast space here limited his range of ability to 30 meters. He has been practising sensing others within the range of his ability every day since it doesn't require much mental energy.
He waited for a few minutes inside one of the toilet cubicles to locate the stalker. But, he needs to ensure that he finds the right person. Surprisingly, there is only a person following right now, and it shouldn't be from the elites neither is Red Scythe.
With his sensing ability, he could roughly make a 3D model of the person following him right now. This person should be somewhere in the early 30s, just like him. So Asfa concluded that the person following him could be from the college or just a random person doing their random thing.
"Wew, I should be safe for now. At least he doesn't bring anything weapon. I will just leave the Capital first to see if he is still following."
Asfa took the train immediately when he arrived at the train station. Then, he used his sensing ability to check whether the person was following or not. Asfa was right, the person stopped following when as soon as he departed from the Capital.
"I should be safe right now. But, I need to explore more with my ability, especially in a real-life situation."
Asfa reached his apartment before 6 p.m, and he took his time to do his daily 10 km run. Asfa arrived at his apartment before 6 p.m, and he took his time to do his daily 10 km run. Then, just before dawn, he went out in a face mask, hoodie and jeans to stay anonymous.

He wanted to go to the forest just outside the town to practice his ability to the fullest. He made up his mind after yesterday's accident. He realised that he hadn't practised his power against an actual person.
After an hour of running, he is now standing in front of the forest entrance. He looked at the wooden sign in front of him to read the warning messages. Unfortunately, most of the writing was beyond readable anyway.
Mount Deep Forest
Do not enter after dawn
To live is a choice
To return is a must
Be careful
Live
Asfa brought almost nothing for this short trip since he could see well in the darkness after being an enhanced human. He would be using his sensing ability. He would be using his sensing ability to maximum capacity during the whole time in the forest to train.
Asfa walked along the old path connected by the forest entrance. Although it lasted for a while, Asfa calculated that the path he used was only 800 meters long. He wanted to see if he could combine his punch with his ability.
"I can at least protect my body from being injured by doing this."
He spent some time coating his right fist and punched a tree in front of him. The tree shook madly, and a fist-shaped hole could be seen where Asfa hit. He looked at the spot to see that it almost reached the other side of the tree. Asfa continued punching the same tree with his recent skill learned until the punches destroyed the tree in half.
He finds a place to rest since he used almost half of his energy for practice. Unfortunately, it was so dark that the cloudy weather blocked the moonlight, making it impossible to see anything. Nevertheless, Asfa had no problem staying hidden as long as he didn't make any loud and noticeable noise.

Asfa feels something strange within his sensing ability, few trees barricaded it. It was not a living thing, so Asfa had no problem looking at it closely. He walked for a while until he was in front of the white light coloured small ball floating slightly above the ground.
"Oh, I can move this ball with my ability. It seems harmless and inert. I guess there won't be a problem touching this directly."
Asfa removes his glove to touch the ball, and suddenly the part of his hand touching the ball absorbs it. He panicked immediately, and he tried to feel if there was something wrong with his body.
"I am not gonna ever do that again!"
Strangely, he feels like his mental energy has been restored. Without waiting, he spreads his sensing ability there to see the limit.
"100 meters!? Just by absorbing something that small.."
Asfa walked toward the nearest tree and punched it as strong as possible.
"Kabooomm!"
The whole tree exploded, and its fragments flew a few meters from the centre of the explosion. Some of the pieces flew towards Asfa, but he blocked them with his Energy Shield. After that, Asfa punched more trees to make himself comfortable with his improved ability.
An hour passed.
"It took ten trees to exhaust half of my mental energy. I should be looking around to see if there is another similar small ball here."
He looked at his watch, and it was almost 9 o'clock. So he decided to look for that small ball by exploring the surrounding area. He would leave some markers while moving to ensure that he could always return to the forest entrance.
After an hour and a half of looking for it, he gave up. He needed to go back now, or he will only be back at his apartment past twelve. So he rushed back from the forest to his apartment.
There were fewer people at night. Therefore, Asfa only sees two to three people on his way back to the apartment. While using his sensing ability, he strolled around his apartment to ensure that nobody was following. He entered his apartment once he was sure that no one was following.
It was midnight already when he was done cleaning from the trip. He went practice a little bit inside his room to see the current maximum load he could lift. He had never got enough money to buy heavier furniture and steel plates.
"Forget it. I need to sleep now, else I might be late for college later."
Asfa woke up at 6 and packed his things into his bag before taking his bath. When he got out of the shower, he looked in the mirror to see his muscles getting more shredded.
"Damn it, I hope this will be the last time my body physically changes, else I need money for new clothes!"
After adequately dressed up for work, he took his time to update his journal.
My ability 2.0
Energy Radar (Sensing) - 100 meters range
Energy Coated Punch - Can break a 30 cm diameter pine tree
Energy Shield - An invisible layered of energy with a 2 cm thickness
Energy Lift - At least 120 kg
Push/Pull - At least 120 kg
Endurance - Probably more than 2 hours lifting 120 kg
He knows he can measure his abilities accurately with the high-tech machine provided by the college. But he would rather not do that since he could be monitored even if it is in a private room provided.
"This sucks. I wish I could properly measure my abilities without being noticed."

Former title: Lusarth Fauxun. Roughly two millennia ago, Mana and monsters appeared in the world of Eiruta overnight, forcing all organisms to undergo a selection process; those who could not adapt to the Mana died while the remaining reproduced and lived on. Beyond Sholoth lay the 'Cursed Territory,' where anyone brave enough to venture has never returned... In a safer part of the world, a young Kai recently turns 11 years old and can finally enroll at the Academy. It has been his life-long dream to become an adventurer, alongside friends, exploring the world and fighting monsters.
