What was that supposed to mean? I frowned but decided not to comment on it. Matt was waiting for me. I needed to go back as fast as possible. “I’ll judge that for myself, so will you get Baltazar to meet us?”
He sighed and downed the champagne, putting the glass on the table. “I can try, but even though I’m a Walker I’m not that close to Baltazar. I’m not sure if he’ll even hear me out.” A wicked grin spread on his face and he leaned close, running his hand over my chest. “I won’t do it for free though.”
Of course. I didn’t expect any different. “What do you want?” I asked, way too aware of his hand on my chest. Fuck his skin was cold, I could feel it even through my t-shirt.
“What I always want. Blood and sex,” he purred into my ear, uncomfortably close. Yuri growled.
“Blood is doable, sex is out of the question,” I said firmly.
“So it’s true? You got yourself a mate?” He almost spat the word out in disgust. “A human nonetheless? How long do you think he’ll be able to live in this world of blood and death? Humans are too fragile for this. You deserve someone better.”
“Careful,” I growled and grabbed his hand, holding it away from me. “Insulting my lover is not a good way to start a deal.”
He scoffed and pulled his hand away. Glaring at nothing for a second, then his smile came back as if nothing had happened. Crazy bastard. “So, you owe me blood for the help with the mercenaries. You will pay that debt today. And if I manage to talk Baltazar into meeting you and your daddy, you’ll owe me more blood. Deal?”
“Deal,” I said reluctantly. “Just blood though, no unnecessary touching.”
“You’re no fun.” He pouted but his eyes were already full of hunger, his irises bloody red and his whites slowly flooding with black.
“And I plan on walking out on my own two legs too,” I warned.
“Right, right.” He rolled his eyes and to my surprise straddled me. Oh hell no.
“My wrist, not my neck,” I objected, holding his shoulders so he couldn’t lean forward.

This time he frowned. “Oh, you've demanded enough. Your neck or you can say bye-bye to your meeting with Baltazar,” he said. The wicked little snake.
“You’re being an ass,” I grumbled. All my muscles were tense, my wolf was screaming at me to get the vampire off our lap. That was Matt’s place.
“Well good thing you like ass.” He grinned, showing off his two long fangs. Idiot. I let go of his shoulders and forced my wolf to relax. It was just blood. Just blood. As Daniel leaned towards my neck, my eyes snapped up to Yuri’s preferring to look at him than focus on Daniel in my arms. Yuri was tense, not leaning against the door anymore. Instead, he was closer, his muscles ready to spring into action, his eyes shining with his wolf full of rage.
I hissed as I felt his fangs pierce my skin, but the pain disappeared soon and I shuddered as the wave of pleasure flooded my veins making my body go almost limp.
Fuck. Damn it. I felt myself grow hard at once, making my head spin. Oh, I forgot how good this felt, how the pure ecstasy took over your senses and made you forget about anything like morals or evil vampires. Shit. I clenched my jaw, determined not to make a sound. I tried to focus on Yuri’s eyes, but it was impossible. I felt my body yielding freely to the pleasure.
I found myself desperate for him to touch me. Damn it. I broke into a sweat, gritting my teeth against the pleasure. Daniel sucked at my neck, his hands on my shoulder, holding me in place. His touch was turning into a hot brand, making my skin tingle. Damn, I ached.
“That’s enough.” Yuri’s voice was full of rage. The red hot anger burned in my chest with our bond. It helped me push away the delirium of pleasure. Daniel just moaned, not stopping. “I said that’s enough!” Yuri growled, grabbing hold of Daniel’s nape, but not pulling him away. Good, those sharp fangs could rip out a big piece of flesh I would rather keep.
Daniel grunted, obviously not satisfied yet, but he let go. I shuddered at the sensation of his fangs sliding out of my flesh. Fuck. I was breathing fast, feeling weak but needy and yet I wasn’t even hard anymore, guess I didn’t have enough blood for that. The need would disappear soon and then I would only feel weak.

“If you weren’t so stubborn I could’ve given you the best orgasm of your life,” Daniel said, stroking my thigh. I choked down the damn moan, trying to break through the stupid cloud of lust.
“No touching asshole.” Thank the gods for Yuri who pushed Daniel away and stood between the two of us.
“Get us a meeting, Daniel,” I said and forced myself to get up. My knees felt shaky and everything was spinning a bit, but I was determined not to show him weakness. I could see Yuri’s muscles twitch with the want to help me, support me, but he controlled himself. Good.
“Sure, sure…” Daniel sighed and stretched on the couch, licking his lips. His jeans did nothing to conceal his hardness. My hands itched to touch, my body desperate for the pleasure. Stupid vampire magic. I turned around and walked out of the room with careful steps, trying to conceal how wobbly I felt. Yuri followed right after closing the door behind us.
“Not yet,” I told him when I saw his muscles twitch again. His need to help me made my chest go tight. I somehow managed to get into the elevator, where I swayed the whole ride, and even walked out of the hotel. As soon as I was sure Daniel couldn’t see, I leaned hard into Yuri’s prepared hands.
“Damn it,” I growled, feeling the lust fade away. My neck throbbed, I felt dizzy and nauseous and fucking weak.
“He took too much, that bastard. Sorry, I should’ve stopped him sooner.” Oh, he actually sounded guilty.
I shook my head. “It’s fine you did good.” I patted his chest, his body feeling good against me. Solid. Safe. He put my hand around his shoulder and dragged me towards home.
“I could carry you, you know…” he suggested quietly.
“The day I let you throw me over your shoulder is the day I die,” I said, which he obviously expected. He just chuckled and shook his head.
My legs felt like pure lead as we trudged through the snow. My eyes were slowly closing aswell. I guess I was getting too heavy since there was a quiet rumble building up deep in Yuri’s chest.
“Sorry, I… We should’ve called a taxi or something…” I said. Fuck I was tired. I could fall asleep draped over Yuri’s big frame no problem. Damn it. Why did I always get myself in such messy situations?
“No, it’s not that. You’re as light as a feather,” he said. Now that offended me. “It’s… Fuck!” He stopped and suddenly pulled me close, nuzzling my neck and running his hands over me, growling quietly. I froze in surprise, though I was too tired to do anything. “Sorry, but you smell like a vampire and I hate it!”
Oh… He was scent marking. Right. Wolves did that. It was a common thing in a pack, nothing to stress about. Could’ve warned me though… We stood in the middle of the road a bit awkwardly while he transferred his scent to me until he was satisfied. Then we kept on walking in silence. By the time we got into the house, I was already half-asleep. Matt and Scott came down, asking questions, touching me, their voices full of concern. I let Yuri explain while he dragged me upstairs into the bed.
“Reid? Hey, you alright?” Matt asked, crouching next to the bed.
“Yeah, just need some sleep.” I smiled and ran my hand through his hair.
“First drink.” Scott appeared with a bottle of water, holding it to my lips.
“I’m not dying,” I grumbled, took the bottle from him, and pushed up into a sitting position. I gulped down the water, not realizing how thirsty I was until the first drop hit my tongue. I managed to dribble only a bit down on my chin and shirt. Then I flopped down on the bed, my stomach complaining about such a big amount of water.
“Better make him a rare steak for breakfast,” Yuri muttered to Matt, standing in the corner. I heard Matt’s voice answer him but my eyes closed on their own and I fell asleep before I could figure out what he said.
