Considering how shitless Serа was scared, Day knew that it was enough to prevent her from talking, after all they would still need her services, since this was the place Night was in, but they still needed to find the cause for the magic abnormality later. Hades, Day and Inferno looked around the plane they were in, this place gave a relaxed and chilly feeling, the blue moon was shining in the sky giving enough light to not make it creepy, but the trio found it strange. There seemed to be no life here, no animals, birds or even insects. Day “Inferno can you help, what is going on” Inferno however shook his head [I am not sure, I could sense the disturbance in the magic in the city but I am not good at investigation, if I could use my power I would know but considering I am purposely suppressing it, I can only tell something is wrong, too bad Wind is not here, he would have been able to find whats wrong immediately ] Day let out a sigh. Hades “well, we know Night is here, and there is a way, Day bombard everything around us” Ivan and Night were listening to everything. Ivan “wow, this dude is vicious, he didn’t even hesitate about destroying this place” Night noded “well, they are worried” Day looked at him with questioning gaze, they were in place with grass and trees, his power was fire, and they all knew how it ended when you combined those elements. Hades “don’t worry, I will take care of the rest, I know you are more worried than me, so just do it.” Day didn’t think more about it, the red flames engulfed him and he transformed, Hades jumped back, and summoned his weapon pointing forward. Hades ‘Use fire arrows to bombard in a circle” Day didn’t hesitate, his expression in fire prince form looked calm, but his eyes were like the sun, he waved his arm and the dark sky illuminated, numerous arrows filled the space above their heads, since the fight with Hades Day had been constantly training to control his power and even if it still was far from excellent he had enough control to use it to some degree. Day pointed down and all the fire arrows rained on the ground, all places they hit got destroyed in flames, no place was left whole, except a green patch of land not far in front of them. Day turned back. Hades walked in front of the green patch of land and raised his weapon, the muscles on his arm bulged and he crashed his weapon in the ground, it got completely destroyed revealing a tunnel leading underground. Night said cheerfully ”they found the door” Ivan however frowned ”I would have opened it after a while, did they really need to destroy everything , but I have to admit this dude, Hades really can think, he knew that they wouldn’t be able to find the entry so he used brute force to find the door, it might seem obvious but nobody would think about it so fast, usually destruction is not the first thing that comes to mind when looking for something” Night shrugged “well it was still effective, right” Ivan nodded ’I never said it wasn’t, well they still havent found us though” Hades, Day and Inferno walked into the tunnel, soon loud sounds started to resound from all around them, the more they walked the bigger the tunnel they were in became. Seeing the darkness below Day was getting more and more concerned about Night ”What is this place”. Hades frowned ’probably monster cave, but how did Night find it, what is going on” Hearing this Day gasped in surprise ”I have never seen one before, we need to find Night immediately, its worse than I thought ” Hades nodded. They all jumped inside. Soon they arrived at a crossroads, there were five tunnels in front of them. Day ”fuck, we should have taken Sera with us” Hades knew Day was right, but it was too late now and he really didnt want to force her in her condition, but even if they went to find her, they just would be losing more time, and knowing monster caves that wasn’t good idea. Hades looked at Day and Inferno. Hades”lets separate here, I am confident in facing almost any enemy” Day nodded and pointed forward ” you take this road and I will take that one, if we don’t find anything we will come back and try the other ones, we will leave an “x” mark in the stone next to caves to know that someone already went in” After a quick conversation they entered the tunnels. Not long after Day started to smell a disgusting rotten smell, something that sounded like wolf howls started to resound around him, he walked next to the wall and used the shadows to hide as he walked, soon he saw something in front of him, seeing it not Day but Inferno gulped and shouted. Inferno[THE HELL IS THAT DOING HERE, DAY TURN BACK, RUN, GO TO HADES…NOW] Day was surprised since the God seemed to be panicking. Day“ why, this compared to the croaks doesn…” Before he could finish his sentence the beast in front of him started to howl, its eyes glued to Day and Day shivered as he met them. Inferno[ FOOLISH KID, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT EVEN FIFTY CROAKS CAN WIN AGAINST, THIS THING, ITS A FUCKING CERBERUS] Other beasts started to appear behind the first one. The moment a group formed they all started to run towards Day, he immediately transformed and waved his hand, the fire arrows appeared and shot like bullets towards them, the tunned they were in was big but it couldn’t compare the sky outside, the fire arrows filled it to the brim. Explosions resounded everywhere. Day smiled at first, but soon his smile disappeared. Day ”THE FUCK IS THAT” A three headed wolf like creature faced the explosions with no care for its life, it looked to be some combination of lizard and wolf, with pure black scales that looked exactly like fur around its body, its eyes were originally black as well, but now they became red with lizard pupils staring directly at him. In the face of the bombardment the three heads seemed to start smiling, it had been barely damaged, luckily not all of them survived, the rest were laying behind the first one, dead, but the survivor didn’t seem to care, he howled and howls, once again resounded in response, running footsteps could be heard. Day gritted his teeth, he might really need to run to Hades. Inferno however had calmed down, it seemed he was wrong, those things looked like Cerberus but they were way too weak to be them, the Cerberus he knew about would not even slow at the arrows, Gods could deal with them, but the current Day would have already been dead if he faced them. Inferno [Calm down, your attack works on them, you give up way too fast, the others are dead, only one survived and it received damage, think how you can deal with them, using what you have] Day didn’t have almost any experience fighting serious battles, if he had to be honest he had stolen but if we were talking about fighting, Night had fought more than him, he wasn’t even close to a wooden Hunter, even Sera probably had more actual fighting experience than him, he might be immensely more powerful, but if it were to be on the same level fight, he would have lost to her, and Inferno knew that and used this opportunity to teach Day, one fight with Hades was far from enough. Day ran backward, and the Cerberus were running after him, he didn’t have a lot of time to think since they were gaining on him, suddenly an idea came to him. He turned and summoned the arrow once again, seeing them the Cerberuses smiled, they didn’t fear dead, why would they fear those arrows then, they just wanted to shred the one who entered their territory. Day however didn’t attack with them, exactly the opposite, he formed a shield, a giant shield that barely didn’t hit the walls of the tunnel and send it towards the attacking animals, they faced it head on. Seeing that they didn’t avoid it Day smiled, no even if they tried to avoided in this tunnel they couldn’t. Receiving the hit from the shield the Cerberuses were surprised, the shield didn’t seem to harm them, it was pushing them backwards but that was it, no harm was done, when it pushed them far enough it disappeared. The animals looked at Day and smiled, this human didn’t seem to be able to deal with them and only pushed them backwards, but soon its smile disappeared cause Day was smiling as well, this beast had more intelligence than a normal animal so it knew that something was wrong, it immediately started to sprint towards Day again. Day however was far from them, he waved and barrage of arrows was shot, seeing this the three headed animal let ought a breath of relief, it already knew that move, it did damage but it still couldn’t stop it, its now bleeding body soon got close enough and jumped in the air towards Day with wide open mouths, the teeth glistered from the transparent saliva. Cerberus”HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLL” The shield appeared again and pushed them back, landing far on his bottom the beast was stunned for a second, but it soon knew why it felt wrong, the shield was used to push them back, so Day could shoot them, and when they got close Day used the shield again and they were pushed back again, creating a circle of them dying. Realizing this the animal let out an angry howl, it rushed ahead only to collide with the shield again, there was only one way through, they needed to break the shield. The animals all hit they heads against it, blood started bursting from their bodies thanks to the impact and the arrows, if they were gonna get killed either way, they would do it giving their all defending their territory, the idea of retreating never appeared in their minds. The only thought there, was their teeth piercing Day, soon their sacrifice gave results, the giant shield cracked and broke, but their smiles quickly disappeared, after they broke it another shield was immediately formed. But that didn’t stop them, they again tried to break the shield, who pushed them back, and then Day shot arrows at them, this slaughter continued for quite some time. When no more Cerberus appeared to be coming Day let ought a breath of relieve. The whole tunnel was filled with corpses, blood and guts, in most cases you wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference between any part of the corpses, they were just mush at this point from the constant bombardment, the first Cerberus who scared Day was now something nobody could recognize the original form of. After it all finished Day collapsed on the floor, let alone the power consumption, the mental pressure from all that killing was a bit much for him, its one thing to threaten, and cut a limb or two to find his brother, but its something else to kill, there is no way it was easy, even for someone like him. Day chuckled, it seemed like he still had a long way to go. Inferno didn’t talk, he knew that in some moments it was better to leave the person to figure things out for themselves. After a bit of rest Day stood up and started to walk forward again. Day ”those things were really something” Inferno nodded, they didn’t stop attacking even in the face of dead, giving their all only so that the final result could be the dead of their enemy, even if it meant their own end as well. Those things didn’t have the power Inferno knew about, but put that aside they were exactly the same, luckily the arrows Day used didn’t put much pressure on the body and Saints were good in prolonged battles or the result... Inferno didn’t want to even think about it. Inferno [wouldn’t be better to regroup with Hades, I dont think that I need to tell you, but even you should be feeling that those things shouldn’t be here] Day nodded ”yes, I can tell that those things aren’t normal animals, but that is even more of a reason that we should find Night faster, who knows what could have happened to him” Ivan and Night were once again eating and relaxing, luckily Ivan had a way to censor the blood shed or they might have puked till now. Ivan nodded satisfied “you have good brother” Night nodded, he was relaxed as well, he had seen the whole thing and asked Ivan not to harm his brother but the latter just answered that he had no intention to harm them from the beginning. Night didn’t have the lying instinct but he could tell that Ivan really meant it. Ivan “he seems quite something, even if they couldn’t kill him those Cerberus fought with their all and lost, the brat is really strong” He then turned and looked at the monitor with Hades in it, the half of the tunned was filled with ice spikes penetrating everywhere , everything they touched was frozen solid . Ivan couldn’t help comment ”but honesty this guy really makes you wonder who the monster is, your brother cant even hold a candle to him” Night nodded, he had seen the whole thing, he had always knew that Hades was strong but knowing something and seeing it are two very different things, he was just glad that the prison lord was not their enemy.
