《Daydream of Gods》25 Typhoon: A Good or a Bad person

Jhin was standing in front of Rose dressed in a uniform, it was a little too big for him, but that made it comfortable, everyone who worked here had similar one, after all this was a big trading company for different kinds of merchandise.
“Your work will be to sort the documents, and help the other staff if they call, as for your pay, how about since you wont be here for long I will pay you day for day based on your performance, after you finish come find me in the office” Rose explained with a smile on her face.
Jhin replied cheerfully, putting his hand on head like he was soldier ”Ok Boss, I mean sir.. madam”
Seeing this fullish act Rose chuckled ”just Rose in enough, I am not much older than you, anyway lets get to work”
Saying this she left, the bigger part of the male staff even a small part of the female one looked at her rear end as she walked away, but after a second the office became busting with sound from papers and phone calls, everyone began working earnestly.
Jhin was running like an errand boy, all the staff called him to fulfill one job or another, he felt that it was more busy than working at the bar.
Fulfilling tasks Jhin remembered the information he got before coming here, Ross Violety, daughter of Raze Violety, and as an only child future hair of the company, Violet Pegasus, she was leading the branch of the company in this city, and she was doing it well, the profit had increased quite a bit since she had become part of it.
She had refined face, and slim figure, her hair was long and white. She wasn’t too good looking on first sight but like Jhin her face didn’t have and dislikable features, that multiplied the little beauty her face had. Her smile alone could make you feel like you were the center of attention, combined with her cheerful personality made everyone fall for her.
Thinking about it Jhins smile became downcast ” If I have to be honest I really wish I didn’t have to do it’
Typhoon [we have no choice, we need the money, and the job is a good one]
Jhin didn’t like it but he had to admit that was true.
He once again thought about it, Ross was the kindest person in the city, she had helped quite a lot of people, and funded orphanages for kids who lost their parents, Jhin got to know her from the bar he worked at, she was a constant customer there.
Typhoon[there is no point in thinking about it, what needs to be done, should be done]
Hearing this Jhin affirmed his feeling that Wind wasn’t the most sensitive person, and stopped thinking about it, after all he was plenty busy on his feet right now.
At the end of the day.
Ross looked at the report of her workers.
Ross “I have to say I am impressed, you did more than I expect you to do, I see now why Boss recommended you, even the old workers recommend me to hire you, you are quite popular aren’t you” she gave him a charming smile as she said that.
Jhin just laughed and rubbed his head, he didn’t know how to answer.

Ross chuckled. ”Ok, here is your pay” she gave sum of money that was on the higher end for this job.
Seeing it Jhin widened his eyes ”Isnt that too much”
Ross laughed ”no not at all, in fact it might not be enough but considering you will work here a few more days I think its enough for now, you helped quite a bit of people, you presence could be felt, which means a lot considering you worked just a day, how did you even manage to do that”
Jhin laughed lightly with a bright smile ”I don’t know, I just did what I thought they needed, that is all”
Ross ’well you did good, since you helped me as well, how about going to Boss for a meal, it is on me”
Jhin agreed. After they finished eating they went their ways.
Typhoon[now is a good time right]
Jhin nodded.
They went back to the work place, Jhin managed to infiltrate without a problem, he used a key card which he had stollen to enter.
Typhoon[i still cant believe how effortlessly you pulled that of, when I heard your plan at the start I had doubts but now looking at the result, your people skills are just on another level]
Jhin was snooping in the building, now he was using his saint powers to create a cloak from wind which prevented others from feeling his presence, every god excelled at different aspects, and Wind was especially good at movement and concealment, so naturally the saint would be good in those aspects as well.
Typhoon[you not only found the person, but also after seeing that you cant finish the job because of their defense you managed to come up with a plan and patiently waited, even when the chance of success wasn’t high, honestly for a good person that was pretty unexpected from you]
Jhin smile was still as bright as during the day[well I don’t think that being a good person means you have to be dum, I like helping people but that doesn’t mean I cant think logically or something like that, and honestly it was mostly just running around, now can you help me a bit, I still cant use wind so search wide area like you]
With just a thought Typhoon used her power and scanned the whole building.
Usually if god used their power like that they would be discovered, but some were easier to discover than others, after all a small fire and a lighting will gather different attention, and wind power was extremely stealthy, she couldn’t use much, but if she used it the right way, Typhoon unlike the other gods could use her power with no danger from being discovered.
Typhoon[I sense that there is more space at the top of the building, but you cant see it easily, its strange]
Jhin started to head there, the building was full with different kinds of defensive measures but Jhin avoided them perfectly, at some point he looked more like an acrobat than an infiltrator .
Jhin[honestly, when will I learn that move, its beyond useful]
Typhoon[do not worry, I don’t think it will take you long, after all you learned all the previous things I thought you pretty easily, I don’t think it will take you a lot of time]

While they were talking Jhin arrived at the roof and collapsed on the ground from exhaustion, there were simply too many defense cameras, bodyguards, magic lasers and sensors, something was definitely wrong here, this place was known as one of the headquarters of Violet Pegasus, but it was still beyond reasonable.
After he took a quick break Jhin looked around, but couldn’t find anything.
Jhin [are you sure its here, I cant sense anything]
Typhoon shook her head[that is why I told you it is strange, I know something is here but I don’t know where exactly, and I cant use more power or we will be discovered ]
Jhin let out a sight, he looked around again but still couldn’t find anything, he was sure however that there was something, Typhoon couldn’t be wrong, as he was about to give up, the door of the roof opened and Ross came, he quickly hid, he used the wind to disrupt the senses of the people and the cloak to hide, he couldnt turn invisible but at night with his techniques, it was pretty darn close.
Ross walked with a tall man behind her.
Ross”how are the profits”
Bodyguard ”pretty good, the magic items sold for quite a lot, will we still give part of the profit to the orphanages”
Ross nodded.
Bodyguard ”you are really good person to give so much money to those places, without you they would have collapsed long ago”
She didn’t say a word, just continued walking ahead till she was near the edge, suddenly the air before her split and door appeared, letting her enter.
Typhoo[so that’s why I could sense it not know where exactly was, I forgot about those kind of magical items, they could mimic the elements under special conditions, but to think that they would have such an item, its not something easy to make, let alone be bought]
Jhin didn’t know what to say, this obviously wasn’t something that he should have seen, but that was exactly why he came here.
Seeing him Typhoon let out a sigh[This is why I told you that you should have picked other job the current one just isn’t suited for you]
Jhin didn’t reply he just shook his head, memories of when they came flooded his mind.
They left the prison, thanks to Typhoon they traveled through the sky, the goddess even took time to explain how to him how to use the power, after which he got the general idea, he comprehended it pretty quick, even Typhoon herself was impressed by the speed, it was like he born with it, his instincts were like those of seasoned warrior, even if the man himself didn’t give such a feeling.
When they got near the city, since they didn’t have documents they sneaked in, and typhoon turned into a bird, after which they came whit the tragic backstory, they were concerned at first that it mind sound false, but people were constantly coming in the city and even more were disappearing so nobody suspected anything, he didn’t have documents and used and excuse but even then the people here didn’t question him, since there was constant danger the people trusted each other, and thankfully since this city was in the outskirts of the kingdom, nobody created him any problems.
After he snooped the town a bit he found out about the hunters and went to sign in, he could use both the id they gave and the work to fulfill quite a few of his needs, but something happened, while he was there he was taken to a room and met with a person, the guy seemed to have an important position in the Hunters, after they talked a little he found out that the latter knew that he was a saint, at first he panicked and didn’t know what to say, but as the latter saw that, he didn’t push the matter, after they talked Jhin calmed down, it looked like there were quite a few saints which already worked with the Hunters.
He was finally given a choice for his work, but he didn’t seem to like being an ordinary hunter, he didn’t like to hunt monsters, and he wanted to explore but for his goal he needed information about people, after hearing his requirements the man spoke.
”well, since you don’t want to fight monsters and want to have people information, you can still be a hunter but a bit special, usually most people prefer the usual hunter job but its not the only one, for what you told me, I think you are fit for a special hunter”
Jhin”what is that”
Man[it is a hunter which specializes in a certain field, there are advantages and disadvantages, unlike the all-round type or normal hunters you can say its easier, the ranking is the same, but the level for the higher ranking is specific for the field in which you specify, so the knowledge you need to gain is less, it also gives you free information in that field, and later on the information in that field will be cheaper compared to the price for normal hunter, but the price for information in other field will be more compared to regular hunters, that is to encourage you develop in the specific field you have chosen, also the mission in you field will be accessible first for you and then for the normal hunters, making it easier to work in that field, that is to encourage you take them. the disadvantages and advantages are balanced, as long as you don’t try for work in other field you wont even notice the disadvantages most of the time]
Jhin was satisfied ”ok I agree, so which special hunter should I be”
The man looked at him and smiled, however there seemed to be no emotion in that smile.”looking at you I think this position will fit you perfectly”
Jhin and Typhoon saw the paper, Typhoon frowned, she spent quite a bit of time with Jhin so she didn’t think the Job fit him.
Jhin however was unfaced ”are you sure “
The man nodded.
Jhin thought about it for a second and agreed
The man took out a piece of paper and gave it to him.
Man“This is your first mission”
He then took out and wooden knife and gave it to him.
Man” Congratulations, welcome to the hunters, special hunter Jhin, specialized in Assassination, and Tracing, Head-hunter”.

The Third Spire
It has been decades since the Wizardly Order rose and helped the Realm to banish the monstruos Elfey from its lands by building the Five Spires. The kingdom has prospered greatly in the time since, advancing both in the magical arts and the more mundane technology. The Wizards have grown too, gaining influence and spreading throught the Realm, Wizards' Towers dotting the landscape on many regions. But as the Realm grows and starts looking beyond its borders, the Wizards are faced with one insidious enemy inside its own borders. Master Garner, a wizard in the scarcely populated far West of the Realm, feels the situation getting out of hand, and a violent purge forces him out of his beloved Tower. The wizard takes his apprentices and allies in search of uncertain safety in the Third Spire. Some sources of inspiration for this story, for variable reasons: Riyria Chronicles, The Wandering Inn, Gentleman Bastard series. Note: First dedicated attempt at writing. I'm looking for feedback, and I will appreciate if you point out any mistakes. Updates: Tuesday, and every other Thursday, as life allows it.
