《Daydream of Gods》Water

Deep under the sea in the most dangerous waters in the ocean there was a place where light was shining, inside this place you even wouldn’t be able to tell if it was day or night if it wasn’t for a giant clock that was located at the top of a huge building in its center.
Two guys who were on patrol duty were talking while walking.
Guard 1 “It doesn’t matter how many times I see it, it always look incredible, it makes you doubt that it was even build by humans”
Guard 2 laughed ‘you know, you say that every few weeks, next month it will be five years since we started working here, you shouldn’t still be amazed if anything it shouldn’t even impress you anymore”
Guard 1”it doesn’t matter how long I have been working here it doesn’t makes it any less impressive, this is the only place you could see something like this after all”
Guard 2 ”well I cant completely deny that, but its shame something so beautiful but everyone who is here was forced to be and would probably give everything they could to get out except the people who work here like us ”
Guard 1 “I agree, I don’t know who had the idea to make this place a prison but I think a resort would have been better, just imagine how much money you could make”
They looked around them and as it seems like no one was there decided to take a quick break and enjoy the view, cause even if they could see it every day it wasn’t often when they could enjoy the view in piece.
This place was the one of four great prisons, every kingdom had exactly one of them, that was the one deemed unescapable and most cruel for the worst prisoners in their respective countries, and in some cases extremely unlucky people who pissed of someone extremely powerful. This place was deep underwater with only one almost impenetrable glass wall which functioned as a see through dome which kept the water and the sea creatures out as well, the sea creatures werent dangerous to them but that shouldn’t be taken the wrong way those were the most dangerous sea creatures known to man for the moment with the size of a truck, with exceptional might and almost nightmarish but strangely majestic look, but as these marine creature who had the body of a shark with tail of snake, tentacles around the neck only one huge aye on the head, a mouth which when opened seemed to have a million teeth inside and electricity running periodically around their bodies could even slightly harm them thanks to the glass like wall, they just looked like majestic terrors it was a sight that could only be seen here, of course like all the other prisons this place had several buildings as the territory the dome covered was huge, and they were divided in levels with the higher you are the worse it gets there were 10 levels at total where 9 were divided into 3 with names nobody remembered, they were just known like this, the lowest 3 were ä place not worse than dead it was painful but life was that precious, the middle 3 were known as place where you preferred dead and they gave you that option as well, as long as the prisoners wanted the prison let them have a dip outside the dome which had obvious result, the last 3 places were known as a territory in which dead was a blessing which people rarely got, usually thanks to the mistake of the torturer, and as for the last level it was a place where no such mistakes were ever made, for the people there, there was no peace until their end came from natural cause, which hasn’t happened to anyone so far as the prison “maintained” their life so they wouldn’t feel such a blessing so their only end was old age. But as for the people who worked here this place was pretty good, all the people who could receive this job were strong and rarely made mistakes, the torturers had most work but for everyone else, it was pretty easy especially for the guards, the building in this place couldn’t be broken by human, the people who build it made sure of it and the cells were even stronger, it was like this place wasn’t even build for humans but for something stronger.

As the guards enjoyed enough of the view they quickly got up and finished their inspection as to not get scolded for taking too much time, their boss wasn’t the nicest person and was extremely strict, nobody wanted to get on his bad side but excluding that he was pretty decent guy.
But as they were walking away they felt a bit of pressure coming outside the glass dome, they couldn’t see anything and thought it was the Deth which was the name of the creatures swimming around the dome, so they decided to ignore it and to continued their watch.
What they missed however was that the Deth, the strongest marine creature known to man suddenly fled from dome, as they felt the source of this pressure and didn’t want to attacked by it no matter what.
Outside the dome on a completely flat land with nothing around it except for a strange circle was making the water around it tremble, the creature it kept smiled, it could finally use a bit of power and as it had thought about such a scenario in the long time it was here, which lead it to act without hesitation, as it finished what it wanted to do the tremors stopped it did its work and now it had to wait.
Inside the prison a person looked a bit confused, he didn’t know what happened but he remembered being in a white room making a pact with a being made of water which clamed to be a demigod with the name of Flood, something happening after that and he suddenly found himself in a body of another man. He knew that this was in the pact but as he had never experienced something like this it still surprised him, after all these were strange events.
He looked once again at his body, new body which he thought wasn’t so bad, equipped the uniform in the locker which he knew was the action the original owner of the body would have taken and went out as someone looked at him and called a name which he guessed was now his.
As he walked out of the changing room he pushed his brain a bit and memories started flooding in his head, this body name was as the person who called him said, Oliver and he worked in this prison as a guard and now was his time to circle around and look for any intruders which from the memory he had seemed impossible, or at least it should be like that, if the case wasn’t that even if the body was that of a guard his spirit wasn’t so technically there was already intruder here, him.
As he knew all the information the original Oliver knew he quickly came with a plan and smiled, for him who hated boredom even if he didn’t fully know what was going on as he had a purpose and something new, it made him happy. He went with the actions the original Oliver did to the best of his abilities, cause he knew he needed to destroy a metallic circle outside the prison but forcing his way was unlikely to succeed thanks to the Lord of this place, Lord Anubis in the memories of Oliver this guy was a monster even if he thought it would be fun to fight him as he still didn’t know how strong he himself was here, and as the fight wouldn’t be 1 v 1 but 1 against every person in here none of which were weak he decided not to do it, he liked excitement but he wasn’t suicidal. Knocking the guy he was on patrol duty with and breaking the dome was the safest option he could take.

He was successful except now that his plan has succeeded and the dome was broken he had thought that most Deths would go to the prison, and he was right for the most part but there were still around 10 of those underwater nightmares that wanted to taste him, but it still could have been worse. Thanks to the whole he made in the dome the sea and the monsters were swarming inside it and nobody had time to follow him, and 10 might not be little but in his opinion it would still be manageable, probably.
Olive who was inside the sea gripped the halberd with which he had made the hole in the glass that kept the whole sea away and let him breath under water, behind him two ring swords materialized floating and ready to cut the enemy on their own and as he waited for the enemy to get close enough he felt something strange, the Deths werent attacking, they just watched his weapons and didn’t do anything, he didn’t know what to do, he didn’t know the reason why they were just staying still so he couldn’t relax and as he didn’t want to waste time he moved forward, if they didn’t come to him he would go to them but something strange happened, as he moved forward so did the Deths as he saw that he got an idea and decided to test it, he pointed the halberd to the prison and all the deaths immediately swam towards the pointed direction. e didn’t know why but the Deths did what they did but that meant that he didn’t have to fight them so he was happy, after all those creatures were a bit scary even for him.
What Oliver didn’t know was that the reason they swam towards the direction of the halberd was simple, those beings had intelligence so they worshipped a certain god whit dominion of the sea and every water on this planet, the God of Water the one who gave him those weapons after he had formed a pact with him, the Halbert and Ring Swords had quite a few uses one of which is power which made other recognize their creator, as long as creatures prayed to the god who created them the owners words were the same as the Gods, so every creature which worships The god of Water would never attack him and would even do his bidding for him if told.
Oliver who was now standing in front of the strange circle which was his target, gripped his Halberd with all his power and swung downside making the circle disappear and a huge tremor resound in the whole area around them.
The demigod was finally free, she long wished for this moment and had many things that wanted to do but now that it happened she didn’t know where to begin, as she fantasized about all the things she wanted to try a person talked.
Oliver looked at the pair of eyes floating in front of him and as it seemed that it wouldn’t talk first decided to start the conversation
Oliver ”MHM you didn’t explain much in the white room, but from what I understood congratulations should be in order, congrats you are finally free”
Flood who had completely forgotten about the pact, or Oliver for that matter and was brought back to reality, decided to talk to him but before she could speak she felt something, as she turned around, her eyes flashed for a second, after seeing the being in pijamas and with pillow in hands she could only say one thing.
Flood [Fuck, hello John].

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com
