《Chronicles of the dragon slayer [old version]》Chapter 11 – battle

While fights slowly began all throughout the hall, Julian and Anthony stared directly at each other with complete focus as they both took their stances.
The referee looked at the two boys and waved his hands, signaling the beginning of the duel. For the first few seconds, the two boys looked at each other as they made multiple rounds across the stage.
While in the middle of the third cycle of walking around, Anthony lunged towards Julian with a fist formed on his right hand and shouted.
"WHITE TIGER STYLE, FIRST FORM: MOUNTAIN CRUSHING PUNCH"
"Huuuuup" Julian crossed his arms as he blocked the punch and walked back to reduce the impact.
"That the best you can do?" said Julian to Anthony's punch as he responded with a punch of his own, that landed on Anthony's stomach, which made him groan at the pain.
"WHITE TIGER STYLE, SECOND FORM: ARMY KILLING ASSAULT"
Anthony then proceeded to make several fast paced jabs, all of which Julian either dodged or deflected with his palms.
Julian had decided not to use any of his known martial art techniques for two reasons; martial arts were rare and expensive so if a commoner such as himself used them it would bring a lot of unwanted attentions towards him, and while his family owned a silver class guild could explain if he used a 1-star art, it would still bring doubt on how they obtained the art; and secondly he did not need to show off right now, what this test was seeing was our control over basics so using martial arts would not help him, also his opponent being weak made the need of martial arts unnecessary.
Anthony's assault continued and as the battle continued, Anthony lowly began to get tired from having his attacks dodged and blocked the entire time. Seeing that his opponent was getting tired, Julian began to counter attack.

Julian didn't use any fancy moves like what Anthony had done, he simply focused on points that would reduce Anthony's mobility or cause him to faint.
"Legs" said Anthony as he kicked at Anthony's legs which made him fall down on his knees.
"Neck" Julian said as he attacked Anthony's neck, making him drool out of his mouth.
"And head" Julian said as he punched Anthony's face, making the boy fall flat on the ground unconscious.
"Huff, that was easy." Julian said under his breath.
The referee looked at Anthony and announced "winner Julian", as he called for the medical team that was on standby, to take Anthony to the infirmary

While Julian was kicking Anthony's ass, one pair of eyes was staring at every movement that he was making.
Andra was looking at every movement that Julian had made, and while there were clearly no signs of martial arts, his movements showed a great degree of finesse.
'This kid, his level of skill isn't something that is possible to gain via just simple training, it requires experience to gain such precision. If it was possible to gain this kind of skill just through training, then most of the noble children in that room would have been at his level. But that is what makes it odd, how did a child gain this level of skill, he doesn't have talent for mana, and his body isn't very great for martial arts but, I no matter how hard I think I just cannot explain his skill level.'
Andra's thoughts drifted from Julian, 'then there are those two monsters, to think that they would have learned their families martial arts technique to such a degree is definitely surprising.'she thought as she looked at Jason and Leopold fighting against each other.

*********
The battle between Jason and Leopold was a taking a much different form than the fight between Julian and Anthony, unlike their battle where Julian had won in a very one sided fashion, in the battle between Jason and Leopold neither party had an upper hand even after 15 minutes of sparring, despite the fact that they were both exhausted and most of the other battles had ended.
The fight however seemed to be reaching its end as both the boys were slowing down with their movements. Their fight had gotten to a stage where both boys did not have the strength to use their techniques anymore, but continued to punch the other.
"Hah hah hah, Cavendish don't you have a stronger punch that you can throw" Jason said as he rebounded from a punch that Leopold had landed on him, and threw a punch of his own that hit Leopold's face.
"Hah hah hah, I'm just getting started Webb, and what about you do you not have anything better than that excuse of a punch that you just threw"
As such, their bickering went on throughout their battle and another 5 minutes later both the boys seemed to have gotten too tired to fight.
"Hah, hah, oye Leopold, how about we finish this on the next one" Jason said to Leopold as he huffed and stabilized his footing .
"Huuuufff , okay, let's do that." Leopold said as he nodded.
Jason nodded and started to walk towards the center, and Leopold did the same.
Once they both were in the center of the stage, only separated by 2 feet of air, both boys took their stances to throw out their strongest attack at the other.
While Leopold and Jason were looking at each other with fire in their eyes, the entire class was looking at their battle with pin drop silence, since the rest of them had already long completed their own bouts.
*Bloop*
At the sound of the drop of sweat, Leopold and Julian both launched punches at each other.
"AHHHHHHHH LEOPOOOOLLLLDDD"
"JAAAASOOOOON"
*boom*
Both the boys had successively landed their punches, but neither could move after the impact.
*Thump*
*Thump*
On the last punch, both the boys had ended up exerting themselves so hard that they had both fainted upon impact.
The referee approached the two fallen boys and was surprised by what he saw, while they had both fainted both Leopold and Jason had bright smiles on their faces as they both had seen the other fall as they fainted.
The referee then announced, "since both parties can no loner continue, I announce this battle as a draw." the medics had arrived at stage 1 to take the two young boys to the infirmary so that they could recover properly before the 3rd test.
As such, the duels among students had ended without any major mishaps. Then Andra's voice was heard from the speaker inside the hall.
"WELL, SINCE THE DUELS HAVE NOW BEEN COMPLETED I GIVE YOU A ONE-HOUR BREAK AFTER WHICH YOU WILL MEET ME HERE WITH YOUR WEAPON OF CHOICE. YOU WILL BE INFORMED OF THE RULES AND SOME CHANGES TO THE TEST THEN AS WELL."
With Andra's notice, the 2nd test had finally ended.
