《Secrets of the Arcane》Prologue

The terror of summer has ended and all the greens sigh with relief. The invasion of scorch pervaded and the whole continent embraced the fresh wind.
Leaves are falling everywhere and the rustling sound of the wind and leaves clashing.
"Autumn represents death and life. My life span is ceasing like candlelight. The Empire I built which was like my child was taken away from me like a thief in the night"
"Strength..." He pauses for a moment and clenches his fist. He then continued "A very common word but represents anything and everything."
"They've taken away everything but not my wisdom. Strength is what I need and in this lifetime I cannot obtain it."
Emperor Julien stands on a crimson podium surrounded by five huge obelisks. The obelisk represents the 5 reincarnation values.
Looking up into the sky, he gently inhales the autumn wind. The fresh air from the east circulates in his lungs, flows through his veins, and forms misty energy around him.
With a thought, all 5 obelisk glows, and for the last time, he looks up in the sky and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry," spreads his arms wide open and the haze glows in crimson and the whole continent shakes in fear with the terrifying Arcane force.
Yet in the blink of an eye, the man on the podium dissipated and flows into the sky.
......
"Sage of herald, the infamous Vel'Krim! You are surrounded already, stop hiding like a rat!" Shouted while laughing at the man wearing the Golden Armor with the crest of a pendulum on his chest.
The soldiers behind him wearing black gold plated armor are feeling tense. Fear evident in their eyes.
The Armored man is radiating with a fierce aura. With a thought, he deployed his ultimate attack. He gave a glance behind and see that his soldiers' morale was still low. The man sighed and said "What a bunch of imbeciles."

Then the man clenched his Armored fist and chanted in his mind [Battle Set - Fist Of Argaddon]!
The Armored Man raised his fist and scorching heat feels like Helios has descended!
The Royal Guards know that this attack is deadly and it does not differ comrades or foes. Just the aura of an explosion will kill them and turn them to ashes.
"Commanders' power is formidable," the soldier on the left said.
"But...."
Before the right soldier finish his word the soldier in the center gave him a fierce look and said "Shut your mouth if you still value your life!"
The soldiers are startled and continue to retreat.
The Commander focuses the scorching aura of power on the fist. Heat pervaded the area and after two seconds he sprinted forward and delivered a mighty punch!
Now feel my [Fist Of Argaddon] Vel'Krim! The man shouted!
Vel'Krim, who is still watching on the spatial crack that he created, gave a cold smile and his eyes flashes a murder intent. "These Royal crap... I mean guards are persistent, it seems they never learn!"
"They are just throwing their meaningless life at me," he heaved a deep sigh and revealed himself. He walks out leisurely like he is walking on flat land.
Vel'Krim's robe flutters in the wind as the pressure of the upcoming attack draws near.
As the mighty punch which has the incarnation of Argaddon's fiery rocky fist draws near him, his voice echoed in the area and said;
"You should know by now that all of your attacks are futile," Vel'Krim said with his hoarse voice.
His black robe flutters and with a cold smile, he pulls a scepter out of thin air. The scepter is plain gold plated with a verdant handle.

A wisp of black smoke comes out of his body and it merges with the scepter. The scepter began to emit a green aura.
Vel'Krim moves his arms and points the scepter at the raging giant fiery hand that is coming closer to him.
All of this takes time to explain but it happens almost instantaneously.
With a thought, Vel'Krim chanted [Tremo Set - Seismic shield].
The Commander who is in a counter-offensive position feels that something bad will happen and as he expected it became reality.
Vel'Krim, who pointed his scepter, begins to emit grayish-white flow, and the aura around him trembles.
The powerful punch that the commander delivers begins to form cracks and before it hits Vel'Krim it dissipates as if nothing happened!
Though it was not seen by the naked eye, the [Fist of Argaddon] hit multiple series of seismic tremors and before it hits Vel'Krim it disappeared like a wisp of smoke.
Vel'Krim smiled coldly and said "Never underestimate the power of tremors"
He waves his arms again and a series of tremors appear in the area and a series of spatial cracks open. The Commander and the Army began to have a cold sweat and they felt the fear of death.
.......
As the shadow of the night envelopes the city, Julien walking from the train station feels that the air has a strange feeling. He looks up at the sky and indeed the sky is cloudy.
"It seems heavy rain will fall later. I need to rush home!" he said under his breath. Julien hurriedly walks and after a few minutes, he arrives at his apartment.
He prepared his meal and took a shower. "A good shower after work is the best," he said while drying his head with a large white towel.
11:00 PM as Julien checked his phone and realized that it was getting late. "Damn, I still have work tomorrow"
He hurriedly goes inside his room and prepares to sleep. Laying down on his bed, he feels that there is a tremor; an earthquake!
He hurriedly jumped out of bed and rolled under it!

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
