《An Ancient's Leisure》Chapter 41

The ninth stage leader of the Great Way sect of East Kingdom walks into the conference room and takes a seat before closing his eyes in mediation.
Then, Galzabar, from the Wizard Alliance walks in and takes a seat.
A beautiful dark-haired lady also walks into the room and takes a seat. She was the ninth stage powerhouse guarding the Great Witch Union.
Ronin from the vampires of Movie Central also walks into the room. He gives Johnny a nod and takes a seat.
The ninth stage leader of the Mortal Conservation Society also walks in and takes a seat.
Then, a two-meter tall muscular man walks in and takes a seat. He was the ninth stage werewolf leader of the Relentless Beast tribe, a tribe of beast cultivators.
Then a very large tiger walks into the room and sits on the ground. This was a ninth stage tiger guarding the Spice Rainforest.
Johnny smiles. “Alright. We’re all here.” He says, satisfied.
Allan, the leader of the Mortal Conservation Society furrows his brows. “Why are we here Johnny? We all know that our world has been invaded. Meeting together like this isn’t going to stop that.” He says, feeling that this would be a wasted effort.
Sol, the leader of the Great Way sect nods his head. “Our world is facing a tribulation. I fear we’ll be unable to pass.” He says.
“If you’re here to say that we should join forces, I might consider it. But we’re wasting time while we could be waging war.” Rinaldo, the leader of the Relentless Beast tribe says.
The beautiful dark-haired lady, Eleanor lets out a smile. “Since we’re here, let’s hear him out.” She says with a gentle voice.
Johnny clears his throat. “I really don’t have much to say but there are a few things that everyone in this room should know. First, this is only the first wave of invaders. I know for sure that our world is resisting them, and their Sky Piercing experts are still unable to cross over.” He says.

Ronin raises an eyebrow. “Sky Piercing experts? What’s that?” He asks.
“That is the level above the tenth stage. From my understanding, it’s the limit of what our invaders’ world can provide for. For now they’re unable to make it through, but eventually, they’ll find a way to cross over.” Johnny says.
Allan frowns. “Then we’re doomed.” He says, ready to give up. He might as well enjoy life to the fullest while he could.
Eleanor furrows her brows. “What do you suggest we do?” She asks. Johnny wouldn’t have gathered them all here if he didn’t have anything to say about it.
The others listen eagerly. If their invaders really had Sky Piercing experts, Earth wouldn’t be able to defend themselves. Although they were in doubt, they hoped that Johnny would have a suggestion.
“Ah, yes. Well. In the same way that their world can only support Sky Piercing experts, our world can only support the ninth stage. Normally, we wouldn’t have a way out of this because this is heaven’s rule. But luckily, we’re being invaded.” Johnny says with a smile.
Eleanor’s brows furrow. “What do you mean?” She asks.
“What I mean, is that another world is offering themselves up to Earth. As it should be, praised be the earth, may our mother, goddess Earth forever reign.” Johnny says in prayer before making the sign of the cross.
Allan raises an eyebrow. “Are you part of a cult? Or are you mocking Catholics?” He asks, finding it a little weird.
“Our mother, the great goddess, is so sexy and beautiful. I’d offer her my prayers before any son of god.” Johnny says with a smirk.
“You have a mommy kink too?” Ronin says, surprised.
Johnny lets out a laugh and gestures to Leo. “Leo, hand them out.” He says.

Leo walks around the table and begins to hand out several books.
“This is the Cultivation Extraction manual. I hope to spread this to all of our world’s cultivators who are on the sixth stage and above. Since food has offered itself to our table so brazenly, it would be rude to not enjoy the feast.” Johnny says with a smile.
Sol, the leader of the Great Way sect flips through the book and his eyes widen. “T-this! This is vampirism!” He exclaims.
Johnny lets out a laugh. “Yes, this is very much vampirism. Also. Leo.” He says, gesturing once more.
Leo walks around the table again, this time, placing different books in front of each individual.
Johnny smiles. “In front of you are paths to cross over the tenth stage and enter the Sky Piercing stage. With those and the Cultivation Extraction manual, your path forward is set. Normally, none of use would be able to make it to the Sky Piercing stage on this world, but with another world providing the resources, none of us will go hungry.” He says, his smile looking a little evil.
Sol lets out a sigh. “We have no choice. Since we’ve been attacked, we must retaliate, this is also part of the great way.” He says, feeling somewhat solemn. He never thought that in his long life, he would ever consider vampirism to be his path forward.
Eleanor lets out a smile. “Hmm. It seems we have a chance. For now, while their Sky Piercing experts are unable to come over, we should make full use of this advantage.” She says.
Ronin’s eyes light up as he flips through a book. “Who knew vampirism could go so far?” He says in wonder.
Johnny smiles, satisfied with his work. If he was being honest, he felt that currently, if he was to face a Sky Piercing expert, he would be able to maintain his life, but if this world could tide over this tribulation together, it would be for the best.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
