《An Ancient's Leisure》Chapter 40

Several years had pass. Johnny continued to deflect, direct, and propel karma as it came, and several things occurred.
First, Johnny's vampire family began to grow. Johnny continued to filter the calls asking about becoming a vampire, and slowly, he began to accept more of them. Eventually, the vampires in his family were no longer lonely, and the community began to thrive.
Another thing that happened was that the two grave-robbers called. Their cultivation had stagnated as they weren’t able to gather enough yin energy. Johnny introduced them to a new cultivation technique, Yin Yang Sublimation to supplement their yin energy with yang energy, to push both to higher levels. These two also joined Johnny’s family.
Leo had also gathered various loose cultivators. Many of these cultivators had incomplete inheritances, or were quite poor due to lack of support. Johnny gave them what they were missing and they also joined his family.
In addition, while accepting new vampires, Johnny was able to pair many people to a suitable cultivation technique. Thus, he gathered many disciples and they also became part of his family.
Eventually, Johnny had built a real faction, one that gathered the attention of the other factions of the world. Although, the faction was young, time continued on, and slowly, with Johnny’s guidance they were becoming stronger and stronger.
The people around Johnny also continued to grow. His family members had discovered something unusual and Johnny ended up introducing them to cultivation as well.
Slinky, over the many years, smoothly progressed to the eighth stage.
Lucy was also diligent and progressed to the eighth stage.
As for Mary Rose, the cultivation technique she practiced was very advanced, but she was also diligent. She progressed to the sixth stage.
Johnny continued to gather spiritual energy lazily, and slowly but surely, he advanced to the fifth stage.

But as Johnny and his friends and family progressed, the world also continued to progress. And invaders from another world were already seeping into this world’s various societies. They chose to come in quietly, but in small pockets around the world, their numbers grew and they began to challenge those around them. Battles began to break out all over the world before these battles turned into war.
This world, with its resources, was beginning to get stuffy. With the invaders slowly pouring in, the cultivators of the world began to overflow. The world would either have to be purified with fire or be destroyed.
...
…
Johnny walks into the prison and approaches a cell. As he watches the eighth stage cultivator bound in sealing chains, his brows furrowed.
This man was a prisoner that Johnny had captured after his faction became embroiled in a war. The opposition was wiped out, but Johnny had a weird feeling while fighting them, so he imprisoned their leader.
As Johnny observes the man closely, he realized what it was. “You haven’t been marked by this world, by our beautiful mother Earth. Who are you?” He asks.
The man smirks. “So you’ve figured it out. But it doesn’t matter. Various factions of our world have been slowly invading Earth for a long while. I was just sent here to hold down the fort before my superiors came. I’ll give you some advice, kid. Release me now and maybe they’ll spare you. The leader of my sect is a powerhouse who has reached the peak of cultivation! One blow and you won’t be able to survive!” The man says before laughing out loud.
Johnny’s eyes widen and some fear appears in his eyes. The peak of cultivation? That’s not good. He thinks. He was very familiar with the peak of cultivation as a person who had reached that stage. When he was at that level, he could wipe out the earth with a wave of his hands. Is someone on that level really coming here? He wonders, somewhat in doubt. If someone on that level really came here, there would be nothing Johnny could do; he could only accept his fate.

“What’s the peak of cultivation?” Johnny asks.
The man furrows his eyebrows. “What? Are you dense? Do you not know the peak of cultivation? The stage above the tenth stage! The Sky Piercing Stage! When you are no longer bound by the sky above you, when you become something much greater! You guys really are a backwater place if you don’t know about the Sky Piercing Stage.” He says in disdain.
Johnny lets out a sigh of relief. So it’s the Sky Piercing Stage. That’s still manageable. He thinks, relaxing.

8 937My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)

Here, they live in a world with experience and Levels, Classes and Skills, and they fight against monsters, training for years just to achieve a Level that can allow them to make a small difference. The Crystal Adventurers are forced to retreat further and further every year as the Shadow of Life's monsters grow stronger and more numerous, destroying cities at an increasing rate. If the city of Maelnor falls, then it will be less than a year before nearly all of the Crystal Adventurers are wiped out, both those brought to the realm upon death, and those born and raised there. Legends tell of a prophecy that describes a team led by the legendary child of the prophecy, a child whose destiny is not to end the Shadow of Life, but to act as a harbinger, one whose very existence will turn the tides of war, one who must meet three seemingly impossible or currently unheard of criteria before the tides truly change. This is the tale of Team Noruva, which consists of a quiet, yet wise healer, a silent, but thoughtful rogue, a knight with an iron will, a wolf beastborn who gained access to the System, and their leader, who ignores the impossible and does whatever he wants, because why the hell not? This is the tale of their adventures and daily lives, their ups and downs, their struggles, successes, and losses. **REGARDING PoV'S*** There will be 5 total PoV's in this story. However, four of them will take several dozen chapters (beginning Chapter 73) to start happening, with the first two "Books" focusing just on Zack, which is why there's the Multiple PoV's tag on here, even though only one's around at first.
