《An Ancient's Leisure》Chapter 24

Johnny was unable to sleep in the night and he opens his eyes.

He looks up and there was a dark cloud of pressure above him.

Johnny raises an eyebrow and examines the cloud. Hmm. People are using my aphrodisiacs to take advantage of the vulnerable. He thinks, processing the matter. Johnny lets out a sigh and gathers the dark cloud into his bad luck amulet.

Unable to sleep, Johnny, quietly leaves the bed and the sleeping Mary Rose and steps outside.

He leaves the hotel room and goes downstairs to the bar before ordering a drink. Johnny looks across from him and he raises an eyebrow. Lucy raises her glass and smiles, then she walks over and has a seat.

“What are you doing up?” Johnny asks.

Lucy takes a sip and smirks. “What do you think? I haven’t been able to sleep well for weeks. I keep wondering when you’ll make a move. It’s exhausting.” She says with a sigh.

Johnny smiles and downs his whole drink before grabbing Lucy’s hand. “Come on.” He says.

Lucy lets out a laugh. “Finally.” She says, eagerly awaiting the night.

Lucy’s eyes widen, waking up from her sleep. She looks down at her stomach and fear overcame her. There was a life in there.

Lucy begins to panic and she leaves the bedroom. I have to consult my deity about this. She thinks anxiously, leaving the hotel room.

Johnny was walking down the street, ogling all the pretty ladies when he suddenly walks through a door. He was suddenly in a forest. Lucy was there making an offering, and watching her, were several shadows.

Johnny’s eyes widen and he wakes up from his sleep. He quickly gets up and puts on his clothes. “Thanks, Zeus. I owe you one.” He says before hurriedly exiting the hotel room.

Johnny immediately picks up Lucy’s aura and begins to track it like a bloodhound.

He got in his rental and began to drive.

He went further and further until he was on the outskirts of the city. Johnny got out of the car and walks into the forest.

Distraught and anxious, Lucy prayed to her god. Zeus, what should I do? Am I ready for a child? Or will this child be ready for this world? Should I just stop this matter here? She wonders.

Quickly, whispers began to flow into her ears.

Kill the child.

The child is evil.

Give the child to me.

Lucy’s eyes widen. Are you sure, Zeus? This is mine and Johnny’s child. How can it be evil? She asks, confused.

The child has a great inheritance.

If it grows stronger it will only result in evil.

Kill the child.

Lucy’s eyes widen, hesitation on her face.

“God damn demons. Shut the fuck up. If this child’s not a bitch, it will partake in this daily bread like a man. Not only will it do its fair share of evil, it will fucking like it!” Johnny yells out into the darkness. Immediately he goes into action and begins the hunt.

Angry, the demons gather and begin to attack.

Countless bullets of evil energy were shot into Johnny’s direction.

Johnny raises his hand and the bullets were stopped in their path before gathering into his bad luck amulet.

Then, beam after beam of burning yang energy began to shoot out and lightning began to rain down from the sky.

Many demons were reduced to cinders.

Johnny doesn’t hesitate and gathers all their essences into his bad luck amulet.

Johnny frowns. These bastards are targeting me. They know I’d be furious if my child was killed... Then, they’d try to pull me down… He thinks, feeling a little afraid of this matter. Maybe he was biting off more than he could chew. He looks down at his bad luck amulet and considers. Should I continue to wear this? Even with a child entering this world? He thinks, but then he thought of the path he had stepped onto, the journey he had taken. Johnny grits his teeth. The fate of the child will be its own. Under entropy… Under the heavens… May god help us all… He thinks with worry.

He walks over to Lucy who was staring with wide eyes.

Johnny pulls her into his embrace and lets out a sigh. “Your god woke me up to get you. Come on.” He says before turning and walking. He didn’t bring up the matter about the child. Although he didn’t like it, if Lucy didn’t want the child there was nothing he could do.
