《An Ancient's Leisure》Chapter 20

“Johnny! Where are you? We're home!” Momma Jordan calls out as she entered the house with the rest of the family. Even Johnny's brother and sister were there. They had all met on the Paradise Islands before coming back home together.
Johnny and Mary Rose go downstairs to greet them.
Aaron comes up to Johnny and rubs his head. “Go help with the luggage.” He says before going to the kitchen. “Hey, Johnny? What are these?” He asks as he points to the several jars on the table.
Johnny walks over and smiles before giving Aaron’s girlfriend a look. He leans in and whispers, “Aphrodisiac.”
Aaron’s eyes widen. “You greasy beast of a man. Where do you get these? How much?” He quickly asks.
Aaron’s girlfriend walks over and smiles at Johnny. “What are you guys talking about?” She asks, curious.
Johnny opens his mouth, but Aaron was quick to cover his mouth. “Ah, nothing, dear. Johnny was just telling me what he’s been up to.” Aaron says with an awkward chuckle.
Johnny’s mom walks over and looks at all the jars. “What are these?” She asks.
Johnny smiles. “They’re beautification drinks. They can make you look ten years younger!” He says, amused.
Aaron’s girlfriend, Ellie’s eyes widen. “Are you serious? Do they work?” She asks eagerly.
Momma Jordan frowns. “You haven’t been scammed have you? These aren’t laxatives, right?” She asks, somewhat in doubt.
Johnny smiles. “These are the real deal. If they weren’t, I wouldn’t even mention it to my family, let alone let them try it.” He says.
Aaron’s brows furrow. “I thought you said they were aphrodisiacs?” He whispers.
“The red ones are aphrodisiacs. The pink ones are for beautification.” Johnny responds in a quiet voice.

Aaron raises an eyebrow. “What about the purple ones?” He asks, curious.
“They’re like steroids, but without all the side-effects.” Johnny says.
“What, is that juice? I could use a drink.” Johnny’s dad says as he walks into the room and grabs one of the red jars.
Johnny’s eyes widen. He quickly rushes forward and stops his dad. “No, dad! Stop. These are medicine.” He says with a bitter smile.
Johnny’s dad puts the jar down. “Then why are they on the kitchen table? Dumb kid, put these away before someone gets hurt.” He says before going to the fridge to grab some juice.
Johnny lets out a sigh of relief. “Someone will be coming by to pick them up soon.” He says.
Momma Jordan raises an eyebrow. “Are you selling these? Are you part of a pyramid scheme?” She asks, worried.
Johnny lets out a bitter smile. “No, mom. These really work. And I’m not working for anyone. I’m my own boss.” He says.
Momma Jordan frowns. “That’s how they get you, you know. But if you’re not working for anyone, that’s fine. If these really work, you should let me and Ellie have some.” She says.
Aaron rubs Ellie’s shoulder. “You don’t need these, babe. You’re the most beautiful girl in the world.” He says before kissing her cheek.
Ellie begins to blush and she quickly gives Aaron a kiss. “I’m glad you know.” She says, satisfied.
Johnny lets out an amused smile. “Aaron’s right. This medicine wouldn’t really do much for Ellie.” He says.
Momma Jordan frowns. “Are you calling me ugly?” She asks, displeased.
Johnny quickly waves his hands. “No, mom! You’re beautiful! It’s just sort of like a de-aging medicine.” He says, a little flustered.

Mary Rose walks over and smiles. “Are you going to tell them about the aphrodisiacs?” She says with a teasing smile.
Papa Jordan looks up, his ears perking. “Aphrodisiacs? Where?” He asks.
Momma Jordan’s eyes widen. “The what!? Johnny! What is she talking about?” She asks, angry.
Aaron wipes the sweat from his forehead.
Johnny’s mouth was open but he didn’t know what to say.
Mary Rose smirks. “The red ones are aphrodisiacs. They work wonders by the way.” She says before giving Johnny a satisfied kiss.
Johnny could only smile bitterly.
Papa Jordan’s brows furrow. “Who knew you had such a disgusting hobby, Johnny. I’ll be confiscating these right away!” He says, deciding on the matter.
Momma Jordan quickly hits Papa Jordan on the shoulder. “You greasy old man.” She exclaims before looking at Johnny. “Then what are the purple ones?” She asks.
“They’re like steroids but without the side-effects.” Johnny was forced to admit.
Momma Jordan shakes her head. “You damn kid. Is selling these even legal?” She asks, in doubt.
Johnny lets out an awkward chuckle. “Well, they’re certainly not approved medicines. I’ll have to sell them on the black market.” He says.
Aaron shakes his head. “Damn, kid. You’re really bold.” He says, somewhat impressed.
“What the hell are you guys doing? Someone help me with the luggage!” Sara yells from the other room.
