《An Ancient's Leisure》Chapter 5

It was the weekend, and as two high school kids who were both 18, the couple did what was natural. Suppressed by years of sexual frustration and buried feelings, the two finally did the deed and crossed the boundary, beginning to know each other more intimately that what was comfortable to bear; even the heavens were jealous. As the two climaxed a heavy knock came at the door. “Johnny! Remember that other people live in this house!” A stern yell says before leaving.
Johnny collapses to the side and began breathing heavily. “How was it? Was it worth the wait?” He asks with a smile.
Mary Rose frowns. “It hurts more than I would have liked. It still hurts.” She says, finding it a little uncomfortable.
Johnny continued to smile. “Good. At least you’ll remember me.” He says triumphantly.
Mary Rose hits Johnny on the arm. “What kind of thing is that to say? At least comfort me!” She exclaims.
Johnny wraps his arms around her heated body. “It’s okay, babe. Daddy will make it better.” He says, caressing her arms.
Mary Rose continues to frown. The words made her a little uncomfortable as well, but she could not stop herself from feeling happy. Mary Rose covers her face with a pillow. “I hate being a girl!” She exclaims.
Johnny could only chuckle.
…
…
Feeling refreshed, Johnny led Mary Rose to the park to enjoy the day. Although she walked funny throughout, they still made it and sat by the pond to watch the geese.
Holding Johnny’s hand and leaning on his shoulder, Mary Rose’s mind began to drift. She wondered if she would be with Johnny forever. They grew up together, so it was only right they lived this life together. Then she began to wonder about Johnny’s recent hobbies. “Do you have any tarot cards, Johnny?” She asks.

“Why?” Johnny asks. Although he had no tarot cards, that didn’t stop him from making being able to analyze a situation and make predictions of the future.
“I want you to tell me my future. Will I be happy? Are we fated to last?” Mary Rose asks, unable to stop herself from feeling sentimental.
Johnny lets out a laugh. “I’m not sure if you’ll be happy, but I can tell you that I’ll be sticking to you like glue. Even if you find someone else, I’ll settle for being your second boyfriend.” He says honestly.
Mary Rose hits Johnny’s arm. “I would never. What kind of girl do you think I am?” She asks, feeling a little insulted.
Johnny smiles. “I’m just saying. I’m willing to compromise a lot just to be with you.” He says. Although it was a little unfortunate, it was how he felt.
Mary Rose found comfort in those words as she looks at the peaceful pond. “Thank you.” She says, satisfied.
The couple continued to linger in each other’s arms, and the moments passed peacefully.
Suddenly, Mary Rose could no longer hold in her curiosity. “What’s with the psychic thing anyway? Or what is it exactly? Is it like an astrology thing? Although it’s weird, I don’t mind it too much. I’m just curious.” She says.
Johnny smiles. “It’s not a psychic thing, and it isn’t really astrology either. It’s just nature. How the mind works, and how it interacts with the world outside of us, and also how the world affects us. If you understand it, there isn’t really a trick to it, it’s just the natural flow of things.” He says.
Mary Rose frowns as she processes it. “But what good is it? Can you tell the future? Or can it make the world better?” She asks.

Johnny lets out a sigh. “Yeah, I can sort of predict the future. But as for whether it’s any use, I don’t really know. Sure, I can take advantage of it for profit, but I’m not sure as to the point of that. I’m not sure at all what I should do with it.” Johnny says somewhat helplessly.
Mary Rose continues to process it. “You tried to help out that guy. If you had your way, what would you have done for him?” She asks.
Johnny lets out a bitter smile. “I would change him to better react to his situation. But I can’t really do that. Everyone’s personalities and their nature has its own majesty; it would usually be incorrect to tell them they’re wrong and they have to change.” He says. Although he knew how to make it better, he also knew that it was incorrect to make it better; in essence, he was stuck. Although he was an ancient level powerhouse, for these sorts of things he was still helpless in the matter.
Mary Rose was unsure of what to say. Instead, she focused on something else. “Are you sure you could profit off of this?” She asks, a little in doubt.
Johnny lets out an amused smile. “Why? Do you want me to profit off of this? I could totally do it, I just have no reason to.” He says, very much liking the direction of this conversation.
“What if I’m asking you to profit off of it?” Mary Rose asks as she looks up at Johnny.
Johnny smiles. “Are you asking me?” he asks.
Mary Rose lets out a mischievous smile. “Yes.” She says simply.
Johnny lets out a laugh. “Alright, babe. Anything you say.” He says, satisfied. He knew he wouldn’t go wrong from following this little girl. Indeed, this is what Johnny needed, someone to breathe life into him.
