“Woah, did you get taller?” Ganke cheesed a smile, Jacob put away his phone, shrugging.
“Maybe, a growth spurt. My dad was around 6 foot 4” Jacob replied. Ganke’s eyes widened slightly, before tapping his friend’s shoulder. Jacob confused, scrunched his eyebrows before coming to the realization of what happened.
‘Jacob didn’t talk about his father that much after he was blown up by a bombing a couple of years ago’ He remember, he felt his emotions and the first response was to feel bad for himself, at least the person he had taken over. His father his original world left when he was about 11, so he didn’t have that great of a connection with father figures but this Jacob’s father was practically his life.
‘Poor kid’
Jacob and Ganke waited for their stop in a awkward Silence, before Jacob decided to get over it, by looking out of the window and seeing the bay in front of him. A massive body a murky water, that disconnected Gotham to it’s outerland neighbors even Bludhaven made a small cameo in his view, The train panned giving them one last look of the outside before going to underground tunnel. The subway was one of the few passages between that showed the two cities of darkness before it was consumed the tunnel, leaving them to only feel the weight of inside the carts. While they waited to resurface, lights hummed illuminating the cart they were in which apparently wasn’t ideal when you have superpowers that you couldn’t control. Jacob’s senses seemed to go haywire causing a hum-buzz from the white light. Slowly overwhelming him, causing him to close his eyes to limit the different sensations.
“Jacob?” Ganke tapped him on his shoulder concerned, but Jacob’s senses overwhelmed him to the point where he didn’t notice even a hard shutter from a train bumping a rock. He breathe deeply forgetting everything, and meditated. Slowing down his heart to become almost non existent until the buzz became unnoticeable. He even went so far as to hide the noise behind the train’s wheels battle against the steel guides fighting to keep itself on track. He opened his eyes and looked, seeing that Ganke was worried.
“Did I miss something?” Jacob asked. Ganke, looked a little longer before shaking his head.
“I just thought you were having a anxiety attack or something.” Ganke answered. Jacob felt his body wasn’t quite accustomed it’s changes but instead taking it’s time to accept the changes the venom mutations had made. Considering that the case, he felt that he needed practice to control all aspects of himself, if he wanted to go swinging around Gotham . Jacob, and Ganke decided to take a seat after their cart got emptied during the current stop. The rest of the people left on the train were the ones who were students that went Gotham Central that had been transferred to the heights once it had been destroyed. Ganke went on reading something while Jacob resumed his research. They eventually made it to there stop, reaching Uptown Gotham, which was a little ways away from the financial district and the school’s location. Jacob followed Ganke and the rest of the group as they continued on route to their school which was still a couple of a little ways away. He looked around feeling the familiarity of building styles and the people that made up Gotham being from Jersey City originally. They eventually found themselves in the heart of the upper east side, where Gotham City High School which was surprisingly a small college campus with Nature surrounding it

“What the hell, do we have dorms here?” Jacob asked, he heard Ganke chuckling until Jacob turned his head and he realized that they do.
“No but to be fair there used to be back when the school was university.” Ganke shrugged. They both enter the gate but even if the old Jacob had been attending this school for a year already, his whole perspective had shifted, though Jacob soon realized a lot had shifted. His life, his friends, his abilities, his family. The only thing that remained a constant was that him or at least the piece of him that had been put in his body, and his memories of his world where this is all ‘fake’.
‘Am I real?’ Jacob pondered, He would originally think that he was partially real but the pain he felt was extremely real, his heartbeat was real. What’s to say that his old world was the real one? He continued walking through to the front of the school where teenagers were hanging out and talking with each other, while other tossed footballs on the grass with a minority disturbing though who chose to catch up on homework. Jacob felt his extrasensory ability take over, and he instinctually ducked his head. Confused he almost picked his head back up until a ball whizzed past his head the leather even rubbing against his the edge of his nape hitting a kid in front of him.
“Oww” The kid held his head looking to where he had been hit from but his eyes widened, and he quickly picked up his pace when he see who threw it.
“Yo, Davis” Someone from behind him called out. Jacob turned around slowly to see a blonde hair, blue eyed jock. Flash Thompson. He waved with a vicious smile as his posse cheered his assault.
‘I guess avoiding the name Parker doesn’t mean avoiding his bullies.’ Jacob thought to himself as he braced himself. He sifted through the memories of Jacob combing from any interaction with the brainless meat jug, but he has little to none even since he came to Gotham Heights
‘I guess this is the time to avoid the diaster that peter would face in my shoes.’ Jacob grin, making a partial smile.
“Davis, toss the pig skin back. My hand slipped” Flash flashed an apologetic smile. Jacob knew that his spidey sense warned him of multiple things but this time it directly felt like it was cautioning him, but he had something in mind.
“Sure” Jacob looked down at the leather ball that was rocking idly to and fro near his foot, he bent down to grab it and when he got up, He tossed it back making sure to give the jock a little taste of his medicine.
“Yo, Watch out, Nu-” Jacob smiled as he ‘attempted’ to warn Flash about the ball turned missile but before he could get his words out, the ball had already made unfortunate contact with Flash’s jewels causing him to quickly take a knee then double over. Jacob felt a bubbling emotion of laughter about to overwhelm him so he quickly turned trying to control his snickering.
“My-hw-My ba-dd Flash. See ya” Jacob picked up his pace trying to hold in his laughter with a vicious ferocity. Ganke followed and soon the two made inside one of the most luxurious Highschools in the world. They quickly turned finding themselves continuously amoung students next to their lockers. Jacob unleashed the remaining chuckles and swiftly found his locker which held his outdated laptop, a couple of notebooks, textbooks, pencils and pens.

“At least we have something.” Jacob thought as he could try to work with it for the mean time.
‘First things first is find out my grades for my classes, and then see how hard the material is. I know the last conference my grades were of the majority C’s since Jacob had been still grieving over his father. Then lets see about this world’s technology, and if there’s any chance I could make an A.I or some time of cloud database eventually.’ Jacob decided that he didn’t want Ganke to be his oracle, at least not at the moment, Gotham is both a death wish most of the time. Especially with Jacob being a newbie’s amongst newbies, he wanted to limit the people knowing his identity to Zero, though he knew that he would have to tell someone eventually.
‘Hopefully I can tell someone on my terms, but mostly likely Batman will figure me out before I get the chance. There’s no escaping that Caped Crusader’ Jacob closed his locker, and went to meet up with Ganke as they had the same homeroom, but he felt someone bumb into him. Books clashed with the floor as he had bumped into his long acquaintance, Cindy Moon.
“Argh” Cindy looked at her books, but before she could do anything Jacob was already bent down cleaning up the mess he made. He looked up to the girl looking at him, He immediately noticed her long sleek black hair with slight freckles that decorated her perfectly inperfect face, and quickly dazed out.
“Beautiful” Jacob blurted out causing Cindy looked away slightly blushing at the compliment. Jacob finished picking up all of her things before standing and looking at her.
“Sorry, you just look beautiful today, what can I say? Anyways I am late to class, so here you go, See you in History?” Cindy looked back smiling as she took her stuff back, there hands brushed up again each other, she quickly pulled away but Jacob being even quicker handed the books back to her. She brushed past him, leaving the fragrance of Vanilla in her wake as she made her way to class. He turned to watch her leave and turn corner, but was brought back to his senses once he heard the locker next to him closed shut.
“Woah dude, she was totally into you. And when did you become so Suave.” Ganke cheered, Jacob looked at him slightly embarrassed before looking back at where he last saw her.
“You think so?” Jacob asked, He wanted to stay but a couple of moments passed and the bell had went off, alerting them that they had 5 minutes until they were late to class. Not continuing the conversation, the both of them hauled asses to their Homeroom where was full of their fellow sophomores, none of which were the old Jacob’s friend.
‘I was such a loner’ Jacob though as he sat in the second to last column and in the third row, in front of him was sat Ganke, which he was thankful for. The teacher quickly took attendance and sat down, minding his own business as the first class was just typically a roll call as they were now officially prisoners for 6 or so hours.
Thinking over the situation, Jacob was al ittle happy that he knew someone of the people in his school before they knew of him, but he was curious on why some of the people that were involved with Peter and Miles were even in the DC Universe. His mind went back the entity’s warning, it cautioning him that with his arrival the increased difficulty plagued the hero world and their lives. Would that mean that some of Peter’s and Mile’s greatest villains would make an appearance in the universe? How about the other marvel heroes? And their Villains? Was this because he tailored his current situation to much? He recalled only a piece of the other godly being that he talked too, after his interaction with the speedforce. She had gave him the choice of choosing his power for which he had selected being Spiderman, being a huge fan of him. Which was why when he was bitten by a spider destined by fate, it would grant him the abilities of miles but with organic webbing and some of even Silk’s enhanced equilibrium and agility along with some other spider’s totem abilities.
Other than that he had also requested his own natural highly adaptive body, but with peter’s intellect of having an I.Q of 250 so he could, if needed do the majority of things for himself. Including making an A.I which he always wanted to do and have, if he was in his situation. He was always a big fan of Jarvis being able to help Tony. But should he have done it if it came with the warning of increasing the difficulty of life for himself? Though either way, with the likes of Darkseid, he would need too increase his strength somehow. Continuing to think about his situation he dazed off. His mind immediately shifted into the process of making his greated ally.
“Hey Jay” Jacob snapped out of his thoughts looking at his best friends turned around.
“What’s up Ganke?” Jacob asked, He pulled out his computer and opened it, Downloading IDE’s, and free textbooks and even some Research Papers by Silas stone who was one of the world’s many renowned scientist. He also realized that he needed to learn how to make the most advance version of Siri possible which he wasn’t sure how long that would take him, but with his intelligence it might be possible to just an estimate in a couple of weeks.
“So Cindy?” Ganke smiled slyly as he saw Jacob shift uncomfortably. He instantly noticed that the girl was also burned into his head. He looked into his mind’s previous body’s memories to make sure that this was strictly a new thing that had ocurred.
‘He likes-’ Jacob thoughts were interrupted with another question by his friends.
“I thought you were hanged up on Stacy? You’ve swooned over her ever since she saved you from being embarrassed by Flash.” Ganke questioned.
“I’ve got over her a long time ago, Ganke.” Jacob lied. Some if not most of his emotions towards people and things had been essentially been reset, only ghost emotions remained. Jacob began to wonder why this was before shaking his head, focusing on the conversation before hand.
“So when are you going to apologize to Gwen then?” Ganke whispered cautiously, Jacob sifted through his memories and it turned out that Gwen had a big fight, between the two of them because of her being smitten by Tim Drake Wayne, who was a fellow Sophomore and popular with everyone.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

8 149Redemption
Remnants of ancient history told of a time when great magics were possible, but now most go their entire life without knowledge of its existance. However, things will soon change as the wall holding back the past begins to break and mana again floods the world. But more than just mana was sealed away... ~ Back from a long hiatus, this time with some semblence of a plan and both the time and the desire to write.
