“Master”,a young hurried voice called out.

“Master, it’s here. It would be best if you went away from this place for there to be a chance that humanity will win this war.”

“No”

Screams and crying from the people outside this room could be heard, but the thunderous roars mostly covered them up with the stomping of the beast that was recently released.

The light of the moon barely reached the window. The few candles flickering in the room’s darkness went out, adding urgency to foretold death.

The elder looked at his young disciple. Blood was dripping from his sword, and his once cleaned robes were now tattered and blood-soaked.

“One of your junior brothers has betrayed all of humanity. As a master towards all of my disciples, it must be my duty to stop them. The seals are no more; we can only fight back now.”

“The younger generation can live better if the elders take over.”

The elder took out five empty array formations and used his life essence to carve out five Devine defense formations. Once he was done, he gave them to his most promising decibel with a sheet of paper with coordinates written on it.

“At all costs, carry as many survivors as you can hold in your inner world and travel far and wide to place these five formations at these coordinates. These are the new defenses of the bases.”

Boom!

The duo looked out the window into the sky’s darkness to see a giant red slit opening from the void by two black scaly arms that ended in sharp talons. It released smaller hoards of beasts from the red slit. A roar stopped all weak beings in place, including low-ranked beasts and humans.

“Go. Go now!”, Said the elder.

The young man looked at his master and shot out the window.

Closing his eyes, the elder forces all of his essence and life energy into a golden sphere. Coughing up blood, the elder looked at his finger. He has broken his serpent beast’s contract and placed the egg in the condensed golden energy. With a drop of blood from the elder and some blood that he secretly got from his disciple, he gave a final chant and waved his hand, dispersing the energy in the universe.

Looking at the snout that revealed itself, the elder flew and unsummoned the eleven other evolutionary beasts he had. Blood and corps covered the once livable land now in apocalyptic turmoil.

Brandishing a heavenly gauntlet in his hand, he roared in the six yellowish eyes that peaked out of the slit—calling forth all of his beasts to merge with him, circulating his last energy for this essence skill [Heavenly Destroyer]. A bright beam released into the air and pushed back darkness. Then, teleporting into the slit, he punched this calamity beast in one of his eyes.

Although he was the size of a teardrop compared to this beast, he burst into one of its eyes and stopped its two arms from opening the rift up. However, with the beast let go, the rift sealed him inside with the beast.
