《Diamond Jozu (English)》Chapter eight: Diamond Jozu

...
The guards had no advantage over Joz, and their guns didn't damage him. In addition, they could not use their firearms in melee.
On the other hand, Joz could kill them without scruples.
Although Joz was not very strong, he had a more robust physique than ordinary people (= ordinary 1) and a demonic fruit that made his defense almost indestructible (for ordinary people without a haki).
In no time, half of the guards were dead or in a coma.
Their attacks did no damage to Joz but Joz them one shot (= kill in one hit).
The difference was too significant.
"But how????"
"Is he human"
"Help ....."
"NOOOoo ...."
"He's a monster; he's way too strong."
The guards began to flee.
"Don't go, the army will soon arrive, you just have to ...." Before he could even finish his sentence, he took a hit.
"DIAMOND PUNCH"
He spat blood and collapsed, sighing his last words.
"Runaway! Runaway! Runaway!"
"Runaway? Do you have the ability to do that HAHAHAHA" Joz said with a sneer.
For ordinary people, his speed was impressive: the guards could see him but did not have the rate to respond in time.
..
After a few minutes, he killed all the guards.
He looked at the corpses on the ground for a moment.
"Is this the result of power?" Joz wondered, looking at his bloodstained hands. After all, he was just an ordinary person on Earth.
[Ding! mission activated: Pirate, reward: Demon Fruit Upgrade Pill (G1) + 5 HP]
[Pirate: become a pirate and create your group of pirates]
The voice of the system echoed in his head once again.
'Pirate? I don't see a problem, 'thought Joz. He had killed so many people today that he had no choice but to become a pirate (even Mihawk was a pirate not by choice but by obligation).

Joz didn't want to be a simple pirate in this era but THE Pirate.
"It's time to go!"
Joz changed his clothes with those of the corpses.
He knew the army was coming, and he wanted to leave first; after all, covering his body in diamonds consumed a lot of energy.
Anyway, there wasn't much time left before the Chi ni ueta mission was over.
The slaves who were with Joz in the arena had not left. When they saw that Joz was about to leave, they walked over to him.
"Haven't you gone yet?" Joz asked.
"You have saved our lives, and we haven't thanked you yet. How can we leave like this?" said one slave; the others nodded.
In despair, Joz had made them see the light.
Joz was surprised to see people with such principles. After all, we are not in the society of hypocrites on Earth but One Piece.
Joz was touched to hear that he had to leave the island if he didn't want to have a problem, but did he know how to navigate?
"Do any of you know how to navigate a boat?" asked Joz.
"Yes, sir, I know how to do it. I was a fisherman, I certainly did not sail large vessels, but I have been at sea for ten years," asserted a man in his thirties confidently. He had a beard and a rough face.
"Could you help me get off the island by boat?" Joz asked.
"YES! I am ready to follow you!" the man said excitedly. He had seen Joz's strength with his own eyes, and he knew that with such a man, he would be safer than if he had been all alone.
"Me too, sir, I would like to join you. I am a cook."

"I want to join you too."
"The same"
One after the other, the slaves showed the desire to join Joz.
Joz accepted them without hesitation; without them, he would not be able to leave, and without him, these slaves will be executed.
He would become a pirate anyway, so he needed staffing on the ship, and these men were the perfect human resources.
With this, the slaves had their faces filled with excitement.
"Let's go," Joz ordered.
"YES!"
..
Shortly after the departure of Joz and his men, the kingdom's army landed with more than 5,000 men.
Fortunately, Joz had left earlier; otherwise, he might have been captured (in the optics where they manage to surround him and make him consume his stamina).
Joz and the others and had decided to steal the ship that had the arena badge as its flag.
'HAHAHA killed and stolen' thought Joz.
Just as Joz was about to set sail, he saw a navy ship appear.
"What? The Navy is coming so fast?" Joz was surprised at the efficiency of the Navy. In One Piece, the Navy was often a few days behind the pirates so, he was startled to see them arrive in a few hours.
The warship stopped at the port, and dozens of soldiers got out.
Much to Joz's surprise, however, the Navy rushed into town without paying him any attention.
The strange thing was that they were heading towards the arena; if it wasn't for him, then who was it for?
'Hmm, strange,' thought Joz; he was already ready to transform and fight.
..
"Can we go, Chief?" asks the browser.
"Yes!"
"Cast off," cried the navigator.
The crew got straight to work. Joz looked at this with satisfaction. He was glad to see that these men were helpful.
As the boat left the harbor, a person in a green coat jumped onto it.

EDIT(June 18): So I should warn you guys, I have been told that the chapters have too many info dumps. This is a shortcoming that i am now aware of thanks to comments and reviews mentioning that fact. Since i know many readers enjoy the character interactions much more, that is what im planning to increase with my future chapters. I would say only my more recent chapters have decent amounts of character interactions and this is what i will take a larger focus on from now on. Although there will still be information presented, I intend to not make them so long. If you can get past the info dumps, you may like the story. Who knows. EDIT(August 19): The summary above is new. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont usually do this... but if you like TLK, this story, then feel free to check out my other work: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/5893
