《Sword and Bloodline》Mayor

"Father, Clan head Skyfire, it is not of my wish to disrupt this meeting, it is of importance that I deliver this message to you" said the young man referred to as Dragonbone.
"Hmmph, i hope it is worth it" First elder with a deep frown on his face uttered.
"Darkneedle, the personal guard of the mayor, came here to inform you, Clan head that the mayor seeks your attention" Dragonbone still with his head bowed said.
"Oh, the mayor, hmm it's worth you coming here" Lee's father said while he gently rubbed his chin.
"You, can leave now" First elder with a relaxed expression on his face, waved his hands at Dragonbone. Not that he was too strict, but he doted on the lad so much that every normal situation would appear extremely serious to him, if it concerned the lad, as he was the only one who satisfied him among all of his offsprings.
Dragonbone gave a deep bow and then walked briskly out of the hall, gently shutting the slightly opened door.
"What do you think" Immediately Dragonbone left the hall, Skyfire quickly questioned the gathering.
"Clan head, you have no choice but to heed to his call" the one who spoke was the elder who had anchored the coming of age ceremony, Waxstone.
"Yes, we all agree with Waxstone" Majority of the elder in the hall agreed to this term. As the mayor of the city, he was an official representing Greenland, though Wateredge was not in the slightest weaker than the force of the Mayor, the power he represented made the whole echelons of vine city give him a bit of respect.
"Ok, I have heard you all" Skyfire said, as a strange glint flashed across his eyes.
***********
"Mayor, they all should be here soon!" Said a brawny man with a dark glow on his face, his eyes were no much different from that of a vicious lion ready to devour, he was no more different from a ferocious mystical beast!

He stood like a tree, behind an obese man who sat on a huge throne, beautified with so many precious and rare stones, the surface of the throne was forged from pure gold, the armrest were made from the skulls of Mystical ivory bears, a rank three beast, whose entire head was made of ivory.
The throne was enough to buy some clans in Vine city, hundred times!
The fat man who was precisely the Mayor, was been treated by two beautiful ladies, with delicate bodies and alluring shapes, strapped on clothes that barely covered their nakedness, even at this the huge man behind the mayor didn't seem to be moved in the least by this sight.
After some while, the mayor seemed to have gotten enough of the women, and so he clapped his hands signalling to the ladies to leave.
In the twinkle of an eye, the two had disappeared from the hall.
"Get this place ready, our guests shouldn't meet this place like this!" the mayor chuckled and waved his hands at a nearby guard.
***********
"Saber Ghoul, the one who wields the saber like his bone, it has been a long while since we met" The mayor said with a faint grin on his face.
"Mayor, I don't have time for your unscrupulous flattery, why have you invited me here?" replied a lanky man, whose name didn't befit his look, he looked very carefree, the only thing that made him look outlandish was his dark pitch eyes and his voice that was chilling like that of a demon from an endless abyss.
"Haha, Saber Ghoul, don't be in a hurry, the others have not yet arrived" Chortled the Mayor.
"The others?" Saber Ghoul raised his eyebrows and then a glint of suspicion flashed across his eyes.

"Yes!" the mayor said, as he gently nodded his head.
Saber Ghoul sighed, and sat on one of the seats already prepared.
"Clan head Bloodwolf of the Light Wolf clan has arrived" Just immediately, an armoured guard ran into the hall and quickly fell on his knees.
In few breaths, a middle aged man appeared, he was strapped in a coat made of mystical beast fur, his muscles bugled out, in height he was far taller and intimidating than the guard behind the mayor, the aura eddying around him was full of bloodlust and his eyes seemed to be like a river of blood.
"Haha, Bloodwolf, always as wild as ever" the mayor who seemed to be affected by the bloody appearance of Bloodwolf, chuckled bitterly.
"Fat pig, why have you called me?" Bloodwolf stared at the mayor fiercely as he asked indifferently.
"Bloodwolf, you have become arrogant this days" Saber Ghoul, with a frown on his face said to Bloodwolf, not because of the mayor, but because the latter had just entered the hall and ignored him as though he didn't exist, people like him were very proud!
"Saber Ghoul, you should understand, you don't catch my eye!" Bloodwolf grinned mockingly at the lanky man, and shook his head in contempt.
"Haha, truly, the last time we faced, I remember it was a draw, why don't we clash again, I want to test how well my strength have grown!" With this the latter, rose up from his seat, and speedily took on a battle stance.
"Battle, you get!" Bloodwolf clapped his hands together, and also took on a battle stance. With the way both of them have decided to immediately battle after exchanging few words, one would see that the relationship between the both of them was extremely poor.
"If this bastards battle they would destroy my palace, I can't let this happen" The mayor quickly thought, and immediately proceeded to stop them.
"Hey, you two, I didn't call you here to kill yourselves, I want to have an important meeting with you"
"Hmmph!" Saber Ghoul straightened his garment and sat back on his seat.
"What meeting?" Bloodwolf questioned, as he stared angrily at the mayor.
"And why haven't we started?" Bloodwolf questioned once again!
"Hey, don't be in a haste, once Skyfire arrives we would begin"
"Hmmph, that weakling!" Bloodwolf sneered and proceeded to sit on a seat far away from Saber Ghoul.
"Clan head Skyfire of Wateredge clan has arrived!"

The Traitor Games
Welcome to the Traitor Games, and congratulations on your invitation to join as one of the races putting on a show for the galaxy. Your species has been judged as too violent for integration into the Galactic Conglomerate and thus the decision has been made to relegate you to a probationary period during which members of your species will be pitted against each other in games of lies and betrayal. Unfortunate, but the great thing about a probationary period is that it can end! How can we do that; you might be asking. Well, that's easy, if those participants can earn enough points through playing the games, they can potentially buy out your probationary time. Of course, other rewards will also be on offer for success in the games, and if none of your species chooses to be selfless, well then it just goes to show that you wouldn't have been a good fit for us anyway. All those on Earth unlucky enough to not be chosen to become part of one of the most popular shows on Galactic Television, fear not. We will be streaming the various games your race is participating in all across the world. Should we run out of participants, even with our most generous three life system, we will draw more from the population. Good Luck! Noah Landry is one of these participants, he just doesn't know it yet. He blacks out while walking to the local bar McCaffery's, and finds himself, somewhere else. He's wearing clothing he doesn't remember putting on and rocking an absolute banger of a headache. Now he needs to figure out where he is, what's going on, and how he can get out of the Traitor Games. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Black Meridian
Here's a fact about humans: They are intelligent, versatile creatures with a tendency for murder and vice. Zeta, a swordsman from a villa at the summit of Greenwich Mountain, has heard many stories about the "Sigma World," the colloquial term for any and all things superpowered in the world. He's also heard of the many tragedies, as well as the many wonders humankind has created in its history, even if he has yet to see it in person. Following the philosophy of his teacher, Gin Kagan, Zeta intends to become a "Servant of Humanity," in an endeavor to protect mankind from its gravest threats, from power-hungry sigma-users, but most importantly, from itself. He's going to need a lot of allies to pull that off, even if he doesn't understand that just yet. This story is originally published at www.sigmacentral.wordpress.com. Verification that I am the author of this story can be found here. Please leave feedback in either the comments or a review. I'd like to improve as much as possible before I get too deep into this story.
