Mei Lei's POV
As our protective treasures were running out against the continuous attacks of the rage filled Empyrean Penguin, my emotions were in chaos.
I felt like this was gonna me the end of us.My life started flashing before me in my mind. My family, my master, Long Tian and finally Fang Ryuu. The 500 years of interactions I had with him, things like how he game me his coat in the Eternal Ice Valley, the expensive gifts he gave me. A sudden thought came to my mind, but was interrupted by Fang Ryuu.
Just as the shield was about to break Fang Ryuu stood in fron of me to protect me but suddenly turned around and started straight into my eyes with love and affection. He put his hands around my waist and pulled me into his embrace, lifting my veil and kissing me.
It all happened so fast that I didn't have time to process anything that was happening. My eyes opened wide in surprise.
My heart started beating fast, anger, embarrassment and some other emotion i couldn't understand filled my heart as I felt the hot touch of his lips over mine.
Before I could speak anything he seperated his lips from mine and said the words that filled me with sweetness and pain at the same time.
"Lei Lei, I love you more than anything in this world. let me express my love to you one last time. If you are happy with someone else I will support you as long as you are happy. I will forget about you after this."
~BOOM~
The shield broke and Fang Ryuu broke through to Ascendant realm simultaneously.
I could feel something different about him, a power so great that I couldn't even sense his cultivation.
"NO ONE CAN HURT THE ONE I LOVE" He shouted and rushed towards the Empyrean Penguin with his sword in his hand.

His sword clashed with the Empyrean Penguin's flipper. In a couple of seconds they had clashed over a hundred times. The damage caused by thier attacks deformed the entire Eternal Ice Valley.

~BOOM~
The sword and the flipper clashed once again but this time it resulted in an explosion so big that it sent me flying.
~Thud~
I had already lost most of my qi and as soon as I collided with a huge rock due to the explosion, I spurted a mouthful of blood and my vision started to go blank.
I fainted laying on the ground with blood flowing out from the corner of my mouth.
The last scene I saw was Fang Ryuu who was seriously injured fighting toe to toe against the Empyrean Penguin.
*Sometime Later*
~COUGH! ~ ~COUGH!~
I woke up and struggled to get up from the ground. Looking around I did not see a trace of Fang Ryuu or that damned penguin. The Eternal Ice Valley was now turned to dust. The ice that was said to be filled with the power of High grade laws was melted by the immortal flames of the penguin.
Remembering everything that happened recently and thinking about the possibility of nerver being able to see Fang Ryuu again, I started panicking.
~Swoosh~
I called out Fie'er from my beast pouch and started to search for Fang Ryuu frantically.
"FANG RYUU! FANG RYUU! WHERE ARE YOU?" I kept shouting desperately for days while flying on the Fie'er around the place that used to be Eternal Ice Valley.
In the end I could not find him.
'People say that you don't know the value of someone till you loose them. I took Fang Ryuu for granted. I wanted to rebel against the fate set for me by my family. I misunderstood the feelings of admiration I had for Long Tian as love and said so many hurtful things to Fang Ryuu. Now I don't even know if he is alive or not.'

Tears started coming out from my eyes as I kept recalling how I had treated Fang Ryuu and how foolish I was.
