I have entered the Room of Requirement at least a hundred times before today, but all of those times now seem petty and childish. Sneaking off with Granger, exposing Potter's secret organization, it all seemed so unimportant compared to the task I had to accomplish. Like Granger had written me, Borgin and Burkes have a vanishing cabinet, but what she didn't know is that Hogwarts has its sister.
Last year, Montegue told me about it, and how Professor Dumbledore had moved it to the Room of Requirement, after his near-death experience where he ended up in a toilet. The moment Mother and I started planning how I would kill the old man, was the moment I had remembered the cabinet. I wrote Granger for more information shortly after that.
Professor Snape knew the job I had to do, so I figured that his class could be the one I skip to work on the cabinet. I looked over my shoulder as I hurried down the corridors on my way to the seventh floor. Potter and Granger are the only two people who are suspicious of me and Father wouldn't have it if I added more people to that list. I clutched an apple I stole from the Great Hall that morning and practically ran past all of the classrooms.
I arrived at the blank wall that housed all the greatest secrets Hogwarts had to offer. There is no telling what the Room held, as it would transform uniquely every time it was used. This time, however, there would be a vanishing cabinet inside. I paced back and forth across the blank wall, and after the third pass, intricate patterns etched their ways across the wall, creating a door. I watched, anxious, as the ridges and valleys snaked across their blank canvas, unsure of what I would find inside.

I opened the door. The Room went for miles, I could not see all the way to the other side. This must be what the real room looks like, not the childhood fantasy facade that it gives all the others and until this day, myself. I looked around the room. Thousands of books were piled on my left, and numerous chairs were tossed into a stack on my right so high that even a giant would be small compared to it.
I skated my way through the room, searching for my prize. I passed broken targets from Potter's organization, a tattered photo of Cedric Diggory, what must be a priceless diadem, and even Finnigan's exploded cauldron from our first year before I found what I was looking for.
Covered in a dusty cloth, a vanishing cabinet stood high and mighty. I exhaled in relief and reached my hand out to remove it. Casting the cloth aside, I revealed a tall, expertly crafted piece of furniture. I took the apple I had carried on my way here and set it in the center of the cabinet.
Borgin had told me all about how the cabinets worked. He gave me specific instructions when Mother and I visted him in his shop before term started. He told me that if I could bring the cabinet to him, then the process would be much easier and painless, but I told him that was impossible. Did he think I would just carry a vanishing cabinet all the way through Hogwarts and just hope no one saw me? No, that's impossible.
So instead he gave me the next best thing, "Say this incantation when you have placed the item and closed the door. If you need extra assistance don't hesitate to write me. It may take some time, but be patient young Draco."

I closed the door on the Slytherin green apple. "Harmiona Nectere Passus." A swipe of wind passed through the cabinet and when I opened the door, the cabinet was empty. Good. There are no disturbances with the journey to Borgin and Burkes.
"Harmonia Nectere Passus." I heard a whoosh and a thump inside the cabinet. I excitedly opened the door, but was disappointed when I saw that a part of the apple was missing. It looked like someone had taken a bite out of it. I shuddered. Auntie Bella would be coming through this cabinet in almost a year, what if I couldn't mend it in time? What if the cabinet took a bite out of her as well?
Angrily I shoved the door closed. Using my wand, I placed the cloth exactly as it had been before I had stripped it away, and stomped out the door. Why did I agree to this? I have no experience with vanishing cabinets! At this point, I might as well try another method, a more indirect way of killing the old man.
Smiling to myself, proud of how clever I was, I headed to the library. I needed to do some research.
