The year was 2067 a big city full of young people born after the 2000s had spirits that seemed to follow them and guide them. They couldn't be seen by anyone but the children who were born with them. Many parents thought they were imaginary friends, but many children had celebrity spirits following them. Children with celebrity spirits following them would go to private school while people with normal spirits stayed at public school.

Rose was one of those people. A young sixteen-year-old girl who was in a public school. Her spirit? A seventeen-year-old boy, who committed suicide after people bullied him for being gay, his name being Griffin Novell. He is a ball of energy with a light brown aura surrounding him. Rose could see him as a tall 5'7 floating figure with curly brown hair that floated as if there was a constant breeze. He had pale skin that was splattered with freckles that were quite light and only visible if you were standing next to him. His eyes were this honey-covered chocolate brown that worked so well with his square jawline and curly brown hair.

"Rose? Are you even paying attention?" Her teacher, Mr. Laurens, was talking about some book she had no interest in. She would look up at him for a moment. She was much too busy writing the description of her spirit to really be paying any attention.

"Not really...this book is boooooring." She extending the O on boring students behind her seeming to laugh.

"I put you in the front so you would pay attention." Mr. Laurens's brown eyes making eye contact with the young girl in the front row of his class.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll pay attention or whatever." She would say shoving the paper she was writing on down her desk. Her teacher gave a nod and went right back to talking about the book he was showcasing as that month's read on spirits. Research on how they came to be, or at least some theory on how they came to be.

"Good. Now then class. Read pages one through seven and answer the questions according to the passages you just read." The bell would ring and Rose gave a smile she had ever been happier to leave this class and finally head to lunch.

"You gotta pay attention to class Rosie," Griffin spoke as she pulled the books she needed out of her desk and into her backpack. Honey-covered chocolate eyes looked in her direction. He was floating up above her like the Cheshire cat on a branch watching Alice.

"Mr. Laurens gives me the creeps." She mumbled hoping the teacher she was talking about hadn't heard her.

"I am not really sure how. He seems like such a nice teacher like all your other ones. I think you just don't like him." Griffin would come down his feet touching the ground.

"I don't like him, he gives me the creeps." She would mumble out again. She didn't talk to her spirit through telepathy like her other counterparts. She found it crowded her head too much to do so. There were a few other kids who did the same thing. But only a few other kids, so these kids were bullied because of their lack of telepathy.

"We gonna stop by the cafe on the way to the dorms?" Griffin gave the biggest grin as he thought about food.

"I wish I could eat food." He spoke sadly looking around at the empty classroom.

"What was your favorite food when you were alive?" The girl's muddy brown eyes made their way to her standing guardian.

"Burgers." A male spoke next to her with a soft smirk. The girl whipped her head around and saw a tall boy who could probably be a senior or even an adult. His eyes were this wonderful blue that she envied so much. She would have rathered them than her silly brown ones.

"O-Oh," her heart races a little, and her eyes moved away so she would not be seen staring. Rose got her bag on her shoulder and sighed a little heading to the door.

"Michael? Did you come to discuss that grade you had on your essay?" Mr. Laurens spoke as he walked to the boy who she now knew as Michael.

"Yeah, that's why I came as you asked," blue eyes were staring at Rose's dark hair, "wait for me? I want to go to the cafe when I am done, it shouldn't take long." Rose would jump a little when the handsome boy standing in her class spoke to her. She found it a little weird that he had asked her out of the blue to hang out with him.

"I! Uh...sure I can wait." She looked at his fluffy light brown hair, the same color as Griffin. She stepped out of the classroom and then waited by the door.
