Her dirty blonde hair was an oily mess. She hated that she was too busy doing homework to wash her hair before bed. She looked up at the board with a gentle sigh before looking back down at her notes. It didn't make any sense to her like always. She doodled little stickmen with speech bubbles on her notes.

'I hate English!'

She would stifle a giggle when she thought of the sound of her stickman doodles voice.

"Samantha?" The teacher would call her name. Her clean ocean eyes looked up into her teacher's dark brown and quite tired ones.

"Are you paying attention or are you too busy drawing about how much you hate English?" His voice was loud and it made everyone look either from their notes or the board to her. She could feel everyone's eyes on her. Her face turned a bright red and she would look down at her desk. She had her hair in a bun, she couldn't hide behind it even if she wanted to. She would hate this class even more now.

Samantha sighed as she walked out of the class. She hated that English was her last class of the day. Her clean ocean eyes looked around the school for her older brother Colby. A tall male who played football, his hair was the same dirty blonde as her. His eyes were chocolate brown. When she found him he was surrounded by his friends from football. His smile was bright and he was popular of course. His brown eyes made their way to her."Sam!" He smiled as he looked at her and would walk over to her. "Ready to go home?" He asked as he smiled gently at his little sister. She gave a gentle nod and he waved to his friends. They would walk to his car in awkward silence. They were close in age yet the two weren't close. "How are doing in English?" Colby would glance at his sister for a second. He ran his fingers through his fluffy clean hair. "It was fine a guess." She dismissed his question. She would see his small silver car. It was their older sister's old car. She walked to the passenger side and gave a little smile. She could finally go home. She tugged at the door handle and sighed heavily when the door didn't open. Her eyes looked to her older brother with a furrowed brow."Fine you guess? Are you getting good grades?" Colby would then ask as he looked at her with the same furrowed brow her mother would give her when she had said the same thing."I mean yeah. I work hard in all my classes. It's just I doodled a little when I was done with notes and Mr. Donald embarrassed me because of it." Samantha would look off to the side pushing up silver circle-shaped glasses. "He did what? Did you tell him you were done with your notes?" Her brother would look at her with a little bit of anger in his eyes. "No, because then he would have grabbed them up as a grade." She would tug at the door handle again and grumble as she looked up at him."Please open the door. I have homework to do." Her patience was starting to diminish. didn't need her 'overprotective' brother to be bothering her about her terrible English teacher."Fine, fine. Let's go home." He would unlock the car door and they both got in. He drove the two home. The roads were busy because of students getting out of school. This would leave a heavy tension between the two. Colby would try to lighten things up by asking some questions. "How are doing with getting that girl's attention? The one you have a crush on?" Colby would look over for a moment before looking back at the road."Are you kidding? How did you learn about that? I only told Eden!" She would cross her arms and grumble at him angrily. They would get to their home and Samantha would immediately go to her room. She would open her door and gasp when she saw her older sister, Eden, painting her room the sky blue she had always wanted her room to be. "Sam!" Eden would turn and smile as she went to hug her sister but stopping in front of her because of her paint-covered hands and clothes. "God Eden! What are you doing?" Sam walked into her room her plastic covered carpet making crinkling noises under her socked feet. Her nose scrunching up when she smelled the paint. "Painting your room. Mom said that you were having trouble in school and she wanted me to paint your room the color you have always wanted it." Eden gave a bright happy grin. She was tan and her hair was brunette. She had dyed her hair brown because she said she needed a change. Her blue eyes the same as hers and their father's. Their mother having the same eyes color as their wonderful
