《Necro-Merchant》Chapter Six - Sending Cigar

"Hey boy, it is here."
Time quickly passed, and I had arrived at my destination. Getting off the bus, I raised my head and saw an old street, with small two-store buildings on the side. The paint on the walls had almost all fainted, making it seem rather worn.
This was a commercial street, every one of the buildings there was a bright neon sign, glowing as usual.
Before I left, my cousin told me to find a store called "Very Wealthy KTV," the last store in the southern alley, that was where Hong lived.
The pavement of the street was bumpy, and there is still some water inside the different pits and holes, didn't know if the water was left by the sprinkler truck or not.
The shops on both sides of the street were closed, and the street was quiet. The only sound audible was from the garbage bin next to the street as from time to time, one or two cats jumps out.
The air was a bit stuffy, as I strode forward, trying to find the place and deliver the item quick.
As I arrived near the middle of the road, I heard some loud music coming from my side. I turned my head and looked at the giant sign of "Very Wealthy KTV," it was right in front of me.
From the somewhat run-down KTV came out the music "The Wandering Songstress (天涯歌女)," giving it a very "old Shanghai (舊上海)" feel to it.
I hummed along with the music, as I found the southern alley and went inside.
The alley was dim with almost no light, but compared to my walk on Huang Quan Rd this felt like nothing.
I walked by the moonlight, touching the wall next to me, as I slowly made my way to the end of the alley, where there happens to be a house.

It didn't have a doorbell, so I reached for the rusty doorknob and patted the door.
"Bum, bum."
The sound that comes when slamming on the door was very dull, almost like you were patting someone's belly.
After three knocks, footsteps came from the other side of the door.
"Ga …"
That was the sound of the door latch being opened, and following the "Gazhi" sound, the door creaked open.
Looking at the person staring at me, it was the fat man Hu, I took a deep breath, as the person standing in front of me was Hong's partner in crime.
Hu's sturdy body almost like a mountain stood before me, making me somewhat breathless.
He glanced at me, "Come in, Brother Hong was waiting."
Following Hu into the living room, the moment I crossed in, it almost felt like I went into a restaurant kitchen. It was full of smoke, even the air smelled smoky, made my throat sore.
The decoration inside the room was very simple: a dilapidated couch, a wooden table, and a TV on the wall.
There was an ashtray on the table, which was filled with cigarette butts, and they were all about to overflow. There was also a few wrapped together in a bunch of Double Happiness cigarette boxes on the ground.
Strangely, every cigarette in the ashtray was only used halfway and was thrown away.
What a waste.
Hong sat on the couch, his eyes were null of any emotion as if his soul had already left the body.
His sockets had become even darker, his face appeared more sallow.
So, these three didn't sleep the whole night, just waiting for me to come?
The thin guy was originally sitting on the ground. When he saw me, however, he immediately pulled out the cigar in his mouth and threw it on the ground.

Seeing his posture, I thought he was going to hit me, as I almost shivered in fear. But he just simply walked forward and took the paper bag from my hands.
"It is finally here, hahaha …"
He laughed like a gambler that just won the jackpot.
The thin guy took out three cigars from the paper bag and handed it to Hong first.
Seeing my cousin's cigar, Hong's eyes glowed vitally again, as if it was shining. He seemed like a hungry ghost, grabbing the cigar from the thin guy and stuffed it in his mouth.
He looked around for a lighter, but he couldn't find one and became enraged.
"Where is the god damn lighter?"
"Brother Hong, here, here you go."
The thin guy lighted the cigar for Hong, and the latter sucked long and hard, holding his breath for quite a while, before finally letting the smoke come out of his lungs.
There was a contented expression on his face, his body relaxed, and he leaned back on the couch again, looking happy.
"Give me another!"
Hu took one from the thin guy, as both of them lighted their own, and suck hard and long like how Hong did.
The expressions on their faces also changed, as the thin guy laid on the flood, smiling like a mad man, as drools flowed out the corner of his mouth.
Looking at the three of them, I felt a deep hatred in my heart. They are indeed drug addicts.
There was a drug addict back in my village. Almost fifty and still did not have a wife. His roof was leaking and didn't bother to fix it, just continuing to buy drugs as soon as he got some money in hand.
One time I saw him at the door of his house, he looked just like the three in front of me, as if he had reached the world of Elysium.
I had finished my cousin's missions, and so I didn't stay for much longer and left.
As I ran to the intersection I just so happens to stop a taxi, gave the driver a reasonable price, as he sent me back at my cousin's place.
My cousin left the door unlocked for me. I thought he already slept and was ready to go to bed and get some sleep. But when I walked past my cousin's door, an "excited" woman's moaning took me by surprise.
There is a woman in my cousin's room?
I stopped to eardrop outside my cousin's room.
From the voice, it sounded like the girl from the day before. Sh*t, that girl's moaning sounded nice. Compared to those Japanese pornos, it sounded way more realistic.
After listening for a while, my belly became a little bit hot. I am a young man with a lot of "firepower," how am I supposed to sleep listening to these moaning.
At that point, a question raised in my mind. Yesterday I asked my cousin if he had a girlfriend or not, he said he don't. So was that a prostitute that he got from outside?
My cousin looked serious all the time, didn't know he had this kind of hobby.
