《Necro-Merchant》Chapter Two - Strange Tea House
Advertisement
There was no light in the living room. I couldn't see my cousin's girlfriend's appearance. I could only vaguely feel that her face was exquisite like a movie star on the screen.
I am only a little virgin who hasn't even held a girl's hand before. When have I ever seen this? My breathing became faster, and the air in my lungs are almost burning.
For some reason, the woman did not make a noise and did not leave. She stood on the spot and looked at me with a smile.
My tongue was dry, and my body was reacting again.
I was afraid that things might go wrong if I continue. Although I was reluctant to look away, I still returned to my room and closed the door.
Leaning against the door of the house, my heart thumped like a drum.
It was a sleepless night, whenever I close my eyes, that woman's seductive body will appear in my mind.
Still half-drunk, I laid down for a while, and slowly fell asleep. When I opened my eyes again, it was already the morning of the next day.
I drank a bottle of soy milk and found my cousin's room to be empty.
"Hey cousin, where are you girlfriend?"
My cousin looked at me confusingly, "Are you ok? I have been single for twenty-nine years, what girlfriend?"
No girlfriend? Then what was that moaning from the previous night? Could I be dreaming? Maybe I drank too much.
"Finish your breakfast soon; I will take you to work."
When I heard we were going to work, I immediately speeded up my eating process. I really wanted to see what kind of company my cousin owned.
He owns a Mercedes; it had to be a large company, right?
Unexpectedly, my cousin drove me to the suburbs instead, a small alley in the suburbs to add onto that.

"We are here."
We are here? I put my head out the window and saw the old and run-down two stories building, with a broken sign that said "tea" pinned to the second floor.
It is a tea house.
The name of the tea house was bizarre: Know-all-things.
I felt like I was being trolled. My cousin wasn't some sort of big company CEO; he is a tea house owner?
I was still under the illusion that my cousin just wanted to drink some tea with me until he took out the key and opened up the rusted lock.
The first thing he said when he got in the tea house was "I wanted you to be a waiter here."
I was somewhat angered by that. I mean, I didn't have any academic qualifications, but I had strength. Why do I have to be a waiter? That was a woman's job.
Although, before I could speak, cousin's words convinced me.
"Three thousand a month, I will pay for food and rent."
I remember an old neighbour of mine, uncle Li, his son worked in the city as a police guard, eighteen hundred a month, and only paid for rent, no food.
Three thousand yuan, to me, was a large sum of money.
I quickly nodded, "Cousin, I want to work for you."
It was the first day of work; I needed to be more diligent than usual. I picked up the broom and began cleaning, also to get familiar with my future working environment.
The first floor of the tea house was the lobby, the second floor was the more private suites, and the restroom was located at the corner of the stairs.
In the lobby, there were only four tables beside the counter, and four benches were placed next to each of the tables. The tables and benches looked pretty cheap, don't know where my cousin got those.

There were three private suites on the second floor, with signs labelled: "Heaven," "Earth," and "People" on the door frame, didn't know what those meant.
The decorations in each of those suites seemed pretty cheap either, that is discounting the three fascinating paintings within the suites.
Painting within "Heaven" was a five-clawed dragon.
Painting within "Earth" was a monochrome Di Ting (諦聽, Chinese monster).
Painting within "People" was the Ten Kings of Hell (十殿閻王).
The three paints were lifelike masterpieces; you can tell at a glance that those are works of art, and definitely weren't cheap.
Other than that, there was a kitchen behind the counter on the first floor, although my cousin stopped me from cleaning it.
"In the future, without my permission, you cannot enter the kitchen," he said very seriously to me.
I didn't think too much about it at that time. When I saw my cousin's serious expression, I simply agreed.
While cleaning the front desk, I saw the price of the tea there. I almost bite off my tongue while reading it.
Rizhao tea was 999, Xilonghu was 2999, Zhengshanxiaozhong (正山小種) was 5999, Wuyishandahongpao (武夷山大紅袍) was 9999.
That isn't drinking tea, that is drinking gold.
I asked my cousin, "will there actually be anyone buying this tea?"
He was very confident, "Just wait and watch."
