Logan walks into a room and sees the back of Mr. Breao, standing next to a desk.
LOGAN
Mr. Breao?
Mr. Breao turns around to face Logan.
BREAO
Logan. I'm glad you're finally here.
LOGAN
Wish I can say the same thing.
BREAO
What makes you say that?
LOGAN
No reason. This place just sucks.
BREAO
Likewise.
LOGAN
Huh?
BREAO
Nothing.
LOGAN
(Sarcasm)
Right.
Logan walks to Mr. Breao and hands Mr. Breao his cell phone. Mr. Breao looks at the cell phone and then looks back at Logan.
BREAO
Your cell phone? What's the occasion?
LOGAN
I just feel like I'm not going to be needing it anymore.
BREAO
And why is that?
Logan slowly extracts his blades from his fist and aims it at Mr. Breao's neck.
LOGAN
None of your damn business, that's why!
Mr. Breao closes his eyes and smiles.
BREAO
Whatever you say, Logan.
Logan retracts his blades and places his hand to his side. Mr. Breao opens his eyes and puts the cell phone on his the desk.
BREAO
(I wonder if he knew about the tracking device installed in the cell phone...)
LOGAN
Anyway, back to the main subject.
BREAO
Oh, that's right. How is the merchandise?
Logan looks at Mr. Breao.
LOGAN
Merchandise?
BREAO
You do know what I'm talking about, right?
LOGAN
I know what you mean, but he is not merchandise. He is my friend and he's...
Logan suddenly stops talking.
BREAO
What is he, Logan?
LOGAN
Nothing...Nothing at all.
BREAO
(Sigh) Where is he right now?
LOGAN
He's sleeping on the couch in one of the rooms on the second floor.
BREAO
Sleeping, eh?
Mr. Breao turns away from Logan and looks out the window.
BREAO
Go get him and bring him to the 10th floor. I'll be waiting there.

Logan walks out the room, closing the door behind him.
BREAO
That Logan is such a fool and the ideal pawn.
Mr. Breao's phone rings and he answer's it.
BREAO
Where are you?
(Meanwhile)
Kindra is on her phone while in a room on the 4th floor.
KINDRA
I'm on the 4th floor, sir. The intruder has been apprehended. - On my way, sir.
Kindra puts her cell phone away and walks toward the room’s entrance.
JOSALINE
Where are you going?
Kindra turns her head to Josaline and sees her is sitting on a couch.
KINDRA
I'm to go meet Mr. Breao on the 10th floor. I'm going to need you to watch our guest, Josaline.
Kindra walks out the room and closes the door behind herself.
JOSALINE
Always bossing me around...Bitch! Whatever! As long as I get paid. Not like money is going to matter anyway. (Sigh) Oh well.
(5 seconds later)
JOSALINE
I'm bored now. Need to find some entertainment.
Josaline turns her head and sees Candice taped down to a chair with duct tape over her mouth, unconscious.
JOSALINE
Maybe she can provide me with entertainment.
Josaline walks over to Candice.
JOSALINE
Time to wake up, Candice.
Josaline slaps Candice in the face, waking her up.
JOSALINE
There you go.
Candice starts looking around the room to see where she ended up. She notice she' been taped to a chair and attempts to break free, but fails.
JOSALINE
There's no way you're breaking out of that.
Candice glares at Josaline.
JOSALINE
What's wrong, Candice? Do you want to talk about it?
Josaline snatches the tape off of Candice's mouth.
CANDICE
OWWWWW!
JOSALINE
Does that feel better?
CANDICE
I'm going to kill you!
JOSALINE
Oh really? I don't see that happening.
CANDICE
Release me, you bitch!
Candice attempts to break free once again. Josaline takes a step back away from Candice.

JOSALINE
Why are you struggling? You're just going to tire yourself out.
Becoming tired, Candice slowly stops trying to break free. Josaline has sweat running down the left side of her face and begins to smile.
JOSALINE
(relieved)
It's useless. You're never breaking out of that.
CANDICE
I will and when I do, you'll be sorry.
Josaline stops smiling and gets mad. She steps to Candice and slaps her in the face.
JOSALINE
The only one that's going to be sorry here is you.
Candice slowly looks at Josaline with demonic eyes.
JOSALINE
What the...
Josaline begins to step away from Candice.
JOSALINE
(Those eyes...that stare...what is she? I can tell she's not fooling around when it comes to killing me. But as long as she's tied up, I'm good...right? She can't get me if I'm over here. Besides, there’s no way she can get out of that. Just play it cool and everything should run smoothly.)
She faces away from Candice.
JOSALINE
You can go ahead and stare at me all you want. That's not going to help you break free.
She begins to walk towards the room’s entrance.
JOSALINE
I'll be back to torture you later. In the meantime, don't go anywhere.
Josaline starts laughing and then stops. When she gets to the room's entrance, she reaches for the door knob, but then stops.
JOSALINE
(What is this sensation I'm feeling?)
She begins to sweat.
JOSALINE
(It feels like something dark and evil.)
She starts breathing heavily.
JOSALINE
(This sensation is so dense. I can barely breathe.)
A giant shadowy figure appears behind Josaline. She gets frightened and turns around to see what's behind her, but she sees nothing other than Candice tied up to the chair. It appears as though Candice is sleeping.
JOSALINE
(What was that?)
Josaline is still breathing heavily and sweating immensely.
JOSALUNE
(It felt as if something was about to get a hold on me.)
She looks closely at Candice.
JOSALINE
What is she?
After 5 seconds of looking at Candice, she turns around, opens the door, quickly walks out the room and closes the door behind herself. She leans against the door and tries to calm down. She wipes the sweat off her face and begins to breathe normally.
JOSALINE
(I don't know if it was her or not, but that girl is dangerous. Better keep my distance.)
Josaline sees two figures in the hallway, heading in her direction.
JOSALINE
Who's that?
Josaline notices the two figures were actually Zombies.
JOSALINE
Oh no...
ZOMBIE #1
GET OVER HERE!
Josaline gets into the fetal position, covers her ears, and begins to screaming. The Zombie's stop in front of Josaline and look at her.
ZOMBIE #2
What's her problem?
ZOMBIE #1
I don't know.
ZOMBIE #2
Must be a human thing?
ZOMBIE #1
Yeah.
ZOMBIE #2
So long, sucker.
Zombie #2 begins to run away down the hallway.
ZOMBIE #4
YOU GET BACK HERE WITH MY BEYBLADES!
Zombie #1 begins to chase after Zombie #2. Josaline stops screaming, opens her eyes, and realize the Zombies were gone.
JOSALINE
Huh?
She turns around and notice the Zombies turning the corner down the hall.
JOSALINE
What the hell is going on?
She stands up and opens the door to the room she previously left. She looks inside and sees that Candice is not in the chair.
JOSALINE
How?! How is this possible!

It also holds all the known Great portals in the Fabric which are the only way to travel to other worlds. Even without these things, Poliagoras would still be the most important world in the Fabric as it is home to the largest population of Favoured. They were mages chosen by the Deities and given the potential to become more than mortal. I cannot overstate how appreciated constructive criticism is. This is the first story I have written of my own volition so even a small comment on how I could improve would be great. The current title is most definitely a working one. I know it isn't great.
