《Arrogant Young Master becomes an Adventurer》9. Special Quest -Lyonhall Arc

The soon-to-be wives were brought over and each of them was signing the marriage document. A needle was used to poke a hole in their thumb to draw out blood to imprint a blood thumbprint on the marriage document to further certify it. Celine watched the ladies all eagerly signing their names and she took the marriage form and began adding herself to it as well! Celine did not want to give up on her first love! Jakari’s apology towards her had proven him to be capable of acknowledging his mistakes which means that Jakari isn’t an arrogant selfish abusive man like the others. The only reason why he slapped her was that she violated Jakari’s personal space despite his best attempts to shoo her away which made Celine yearn for him more because she had done the same thing to countless men trying to flirt with her without any of them getting the message. Celine observed Jakari as she sign her name and gave her blood print on it to make sure he would be okay with marrying her as well. Jacari was only pretending to not know how to read as he was the secret diamond-ranked guild inspector after all.
Jakari was completely unaware that Celine had added herself to the marriage document as she looked at him. Celine happily handed over the marriage document to Jakari as he was the last person left to sign it. The 2nd eldest daughter Melissa disapproved of Celine joining the marriage as she wanted Jakari all for herself, her sisters would only be married to Jakari in-name only while Melissa was the one true wife for him. She didn’t want anyone getting in between them so she took the fountain pen first and scribbled out Celine’s name and blood thumbprint before giving it to Jakari for him to sign it.
Celine glared at Melissa as she already had Jakari’s approval to marry him! “Sorry that marriage document has a mistake in it, let me prepare another one.”
Melissa glared back at Celine, “my dearest husband you don’t want to add Celine to your marriage contract right?”
Jakari was perfectly calm as he already decided to hide all his future wives from his mother as he ascend the ranks of being a true adventurer. “It doesn’t matter, get it done.”
Celine giggled in delight as she was going to secure her marriage with Jakari! Melissa was flabbergasted that Jakari wanted to marry her but then she realized Jakari’s true intent. He was collecting even more evidence of the guild’s corruption! Melissa wept a tear as she almost ruined Jakari’s carefully calculated move.
A new marriage document was signed by all the ladies with Celine being added to it for a total of 8 wives. Celine gave the fountain pen to Jakari for him to sign his name. “Please sign here Jacari.”
Jakari took the fountain pen and wrote down his name for the first time ever. He had memorized the name that the guild first wrote for him when he became an adventurer. He ended up writing it as ‘Jacari’ which was a misspelling of his true name. Then he took the needle and poke his thumb with it, it was the first time that Jacari had bled in his entire life. The texts on the marriage document glowed bright red before dimly settling back down.

The Lyonhall guild branch was unknowingly sinking deeper and deeper into the wrath of Jacari’s mother if she ever finds out about her son’s misspelled name, making him write his name wrong, making him bleed out for the first time, and forcing him to marry 8 extremely ugly women.
The people around them were quite rowdy.
“That’s our great master for you!”
“Even Celine fell for his charms!”
“Master please teach us how to get women!”
“CELINE MY TREASURE! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ALL MINE!”
“He’s diamond-ranked, it can’t be helped, they get all the women.
“Can’t trust these @#$%^&* they all only want strong men.”
“How dare she took him away from me!”
“Urgh, that guild girl is ugly as @#$%, I’m so much better looking that that dirty @#$%.”
“No fair! I want a diamond-ranked boyfriend!”
Now that the marriage contract was finalized, Jakari ordered his new wives, “Do whatever you want, be back here by nightfall.” It was the first order repeated as Jakari didn’t bother thinking of anything different to say and he wanted to focus on doing more quests. The wives left him alone with Celine resuming her guild duties in a beamful smile.
Jakari also made sure to openly display his low-wood and mid-wood rank bands together as he wore them on his shoulder. The proof and pride of being a true adventurer. He went to the wood-ranked quest bulletin board with his army of young snaggers and guild lackeys attending to him. He pondered over all the available wood-ranked quests and decided to make use of the trash around him.
Jakari commanded the young snaggers, “bring me all the wood-ranked quests to the front desk.”
“Yes Sir!”
“At once master!”
“Master when will you teach us to get women?”
“By your will!”
Celine’s guild coworker punched her in the arm lightly once again as she had forgotten to tell sir Jakari some very important matters. Celine snapped out of her imagination of a lovey-dovey life with Jakari and resumed a professional face when Jakari came back to the guild’s reception desk with his army of young snaggers bringing him all the wood-ranked quests for him.
“Sir Jakari. The guild has a special quest for you that only you can do. We have discovered a group of 12 copper-ranked adventurers gruesomely murdered in the town of Lyonhall. All of their bones were broken into a million pieces and all of their flesh were wrangled beyond recognition. It was a good thing their guild id cards were with them at the time otherwise we would not be able to identify them. This is the first time in 50 years that Lyonhall had any deaths for its adventurers. Unfortunately, we do not have any identifying information about the assailant. So the guild wishes for you to find the assailant and bring them to justice.”
When the identities of the deceased were revealed, they were all men who were infatuated with Celine. Celine believed it was karma and couldn’t care less about them.
Everyone at the guild was shocked that such a gruesome death had happened in Lyonhall, sure there were scuffles among adventurers and most of them were able to heal their injuries with magic. Killing is a huge no-no for the adventurers and anyone caught killing people would be put on the bounty list right away. Lyonhall was supposed to be a safe haven for new adventurers after all and this could jeopardize its 50 years of no accidental deaths.

The guild-master Blaze was unhappy about his adventurers dying as it would invoke the regional guild branch in charge of the kingdom of Agares to investigate Lyonhall. The Angarth guild branch was located in the capital city of Angarth of the kingdom of Agares and reports to the guild’s main headquarters located in a different nation. If something like this were to happen, he would definitely not let this information leak and would never report any adventurers' death to the regional guild branch. But since diamond-ranked guild inspector Jakari was here and he was from the guild’s main headquarter, his words carried a heavy amount of weight and the regional guild branch would not be able to touch him as he was from the guild’s main headquarters. So guild-master Blaze had prohibited everyone from reporting this incident to their regional guild branch in charge of them because sir Jakari will handle it.
Jakari grew excited that the guild have given him a special quest! He was well on his way to becoming a true adventurer. “I will find the assailant.”
“Perfect! We have nothing to worry about with you helping us,” smiled Celine as her diamond-ranked guild inspector husband will certainly resolve this situation with ease.
The guild lackeys reported, “Sir Jakari, please come with us to the crime scene. Perhaps you will be able to see something we didn’t.”
Jakari soon left the guildhall with the guild lackeys. The army of young snaggers was dejected that the guild lackeys had overtaken them once again! They were so happy at receiving their first order to bring Jakari all of the wood-ranked quests but it was for naught. They too follow after Jakari and his guild lackeys as they wanted to prove themselves useful to him and obtain his secrets in getting strong and getting women, they couldn’t lose face against their rivals, the guild lackeys either!
At the crime scene was a dark alleyway between several buildings. it was the exact same place where Jakari had dealt with the trash provoking him. The bodies were left rotting there as ordered by the guild-master to let Jakari handle it. Jakari looked carefully at their dead bodies and couldn’t come up with any clue on who the assailant could be. He had already forgotten the person responsible for this was himself! But at least he knew what to do with the dead bodies, his parents had already taught him to obliterate all the monsters he had killed.
“Obliterate them,” ordered Jakari.”
The guild lackeys were extremely confused with this type of order.
“You want us to destroy their bodies even further?”
“But they are already dead?
“Shouldn’t we do a more investigation on their bodies?”
“Don’t question the guild inspector! I mean uh sir Jakari!”
The guild lackey used fire magic and a whole bunch of stuff to obliterate the bodies of the 12 copper-ranked corpses. The young snaggers also join in with their pathetic attempt at magic and weapon skills. They coudln’t let their bronze-ranked rivals the guild lackeys outdo them! Even though it was very gruesome, the guild lackeys and young snaggers held onto their bravery.
The young snaggers thought that by obliterating this gorefest of dead bodies, even more, Jakari was steadily training them to become used to seeing gore. Adventurers would need to get used to seeing sights like these after all.
Most of the guild lackeys were confused at what they were doing but a few guild lackeys were slowly turning over to Jakari’s brilliance!
“Sir Jakari had us obliterate their bodies more because he figured out a necromancer was responsible for this! We have rendered these dead bodies completely useless for the necromancer to use!”
“But why would a necromancer do something so brazenly close to the guildhall and risk getting hunted down by bounty hunters?”
“Maybe the necromancer intended to use these bodies to launched an attack on the guildhall!”
“Okay, but why would he leave these dead bodies here if he wanted to launch an attack?”
Many of the guild lackeys were doubting the explanation given by the few moronic guild lackeys with their ideas. They could only entrust sir Jakari to explain his findings.
“Sir Jakari have you discovered anything?”
Jakari was pondering deeply about who could have done this but it was extremely hard for him, he wasn’t a crime scene investigator. But he didn’t want to let the guild down. “Go back to the guild. I will handle this alone.”
The young snaggers immediately complied.
“Master is protecting us from the evil necromancer!”
“Let’s tell everyone that an evil necromance is running loose!”
“Can necromancers revive dead pretty women, master?”
“Hurry! Get there before the guild lackeys do!”
The guild lackeys also immediately obeyed.
“@#$%! Someone powerful had infiltrated Lyonhall.”
“Stay calm. Sir Jakari is a diamond-ranked from the guild’s main headquarters. He will be able to handle whoever this dangerous person is.”
“I’m telling you guys! It’s a necromancer!”
“We don’t know for sure yet. It’s safer to leave it in Jakari’s capable hands.”
When everyone was gone, Jakari instant-ran all over the forests surrounding Lyonhall, he had mistakenly believed that a monster was responsible for killing off those copper-ranked adventurers and was finding the monster responsible for it. His eyes had scanned countless thousands of weak trash monsters that were instantly obliterated. Many random monster loot dropped all over the forest, any adventurers stumbling by, will have an easy time making money. In the split second, he had killed all the monsters surrounding Lyonhall and it would take a few days before it would all replenish itself. Since he couldn’t find a strong enough monster, Jakari was planning on venturing further out.
But two people caught Jakari’s attention as he was instant-running around.

Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing.
