“…Years earlier, our company was working on a secret project. Revolutionary inventions that will take the world’s technology to a next level.

It wasn’t long before we were about to finish and present them to the world, but the sudden turn of events prevented that. However, we realized that those inventions were going to play a huge role in saving the lives of many people. Without making it public, we worked on them as much as we can.

Only 3 major inventions were destined to see the light of day.”

Levon knew what those 3 are, and told them.

“…Teleportation, Life-detector and the atomic power extractor!”.

Robert. “Yes, that is the story behind those inventions…It is unfortunate some other ones never made it, they could’ve made the world a much better place.

Anyways, as you’re a proof of it, Humanity survived with what it had and I guess it made the best out of what was possible to do.

We never found Doctor X, and never heard of him since.

John Marx Claudius died not long after and Axel was chosen to be the next ruler.

That is all I have to tell.”

Levon realized that after the many details his father gave him at first, he rather ended it in a very fast and abrupt manner.

“…But I still have many other questions!

That game…What’s the story behind it?? What use was it going to be for humanity?? And is it the same one that King Axel announced lately?!”

Robert. “I have no answers for any of these questions, Axel was very interested in that file like I said. It could be that after all these years, he was finally able to re-create it based on the given data, though he always said 25% of it is missing. And it also could be, that he found the place it was buried in.”

“Why is it that you two are never in contact with each other, although you were colleagues for so many years!?”. Levon wonders, something he only started doing recently.

Robert, stays silent.

Seeing that he got no answer…He knew that this is as much as he can get from him. In fact, it was more than he could have imagined. Regardless of his immense intellectual capacity, Levon still needs some time to fully process everything.

Suddenly! He calls Robert.

“…Father!

Thank you for everything.” He looked straight towards him. His bright firy eyes captivated the so-called Hero and left him speechless.

Then, he called the other one. “Mother Elena!

I’ll be going now...”

“Levon…

Please stay the night here.”

Elena from far away replies, as her sound gets clearer and nearer with each word.

Levon replies while putting his sneakers on. “I’m sorry but I am really busy lately…”

Elena arrives, her face clearly sad. “…Alright, I’ll ask him to give you a vacation soon! You’ve been working for so long without rest.”

Levon stands up in front of her, still shy and a bit weird in these situations, especially with her.

She hugs him tightly, puts her hand smoothly on the back of his head and slowly rubs his soft dark hair.

“Be careful honey, make sure to come again…Your room is just like you left it, I clean it every day.”

Levon. “I will.

Goodbye!”

And just like that, he leaves the house.

Elena turns towards Robert and gives him a weird look. He quickly looked away to avoid that eye contact, as if he understood what that look was for.

“I wish I died in her place.”. She abruptly says!!

“…Elena!”. Robert could not avoid it anymore, he stood up and tried to comfort her…But she ignored his trial and went away.

It was time to light up another cigarette, and smoke it in disgust…

*3Am, Levon’s House*

Still awake, in front of his wall-screen surrounded by the dark. His favorite environment of work.

Every detail is on display in front of him, spending all the night connecting the dots and understanding the story.

In the process, he found out that he now has much more questions than before. However, it did not feel as frustrating!

‘Now…I have precise questions, I know what I need to know, I only have to know from where to learn it from!

The biggest questions are these.

-Who is Doctor X?

-What happened after the prediction day?

-How did humans survive and create the current world?

-What happened to the 4 other Heroes?

-Why is it that this history was hidden from all of us?

-What is this game about and how is it composed?

-Is it the original copy or a re-creation made by King Axel?

-What are the reasons for many human decisions and acts back then?

-The explanation for many terms used by Robert. ( shows the list of words )

Those, are the main questions and points I must address moving forwards… But there are other things I am curious about too.

Now, where do I start making my research?

Questions about the game cannot be answered except from King Axel himself, I guess that I have no choice but to meet him.

Otherwise, It is only elderly people who are aware of the real events that happened back then. The problem is that, I never met one in all my life! Now that I think of it, I never seen one in all of Babel. It makes sense for a lot of reasons…

If I want to learn about how things were, and about those weird actions and events that seem irrational to me, I must ask someone who lived through those times.

Dr Howard himself, refuses to give me help…Though it’s contradictory to some other things he did for me, like those books that come from that era. I don’t understand him anymore!

I have to find someone I don’t know… An old man that is willing to tell me everything and never see me again.

I can’t find such person in Babel, I’ll have to travel to one of the other 4 cities. Which I never did before…’

Levon starts researching about the demographic distribution of all cities. The results were quite shocking and unpredictable!
