《Bellrose Records: Skulls and Roses》Turn The Page

The sun shone through the trees. Beams of light cracked through the air like jagged panes of glass. A crimson-gold sparkle reflected off Kas’ eyes as she stared up into the sky. She laid on her back, hands propped up behind her head. The waves of green between the trees became her resting place. Her phone chimed and a deep sigh came from her mouth as she practically tasted the fresh air. She reached for the phone in her front pocket and checked it.
[From The Cookie - Hey Kas, hungry? Z&D’s 15 mins, my treat.]
[To The Cookie - omw cya in 10.]
Without a second through Kas stood up and quickly walked through the trees. She quickened to a jog and stepped through the treeline to find Rosie parked just off the trail. The motor hummed to life and she sped off down the path. It wasn't long before she stopped abruptly into a parking space outside the burger joint. Kas walked inside and quickly noticed Ginger ordering food at the counter. She quickly stepped behind her and wait as this nerd mad an obscenely large order. Double rodeo burger combo, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, three orders of large fries, six bacon cheeseburger sliders, and godzilla sized drink cup. Kas’ eyes widened as she quickly realized that the whole order was just for her. She quickly stepped forward and stood next to Ginger, smirking at the cashier.
“I’ll have what she’s having.” She ordered.
The cashier raised his eyebrow and slightly cocked his head. “Which one?” he asked.
“Everything… fuckin’ double the order, Mate.” she demanded.
He stared down at the cash register and sighed, shaking his head back and forth.
“Alright then. Your total comes to… $68.54.”
Ginger swiped her card and paid. As they walked toward a table, Kas grabbed her shoulder.
“So, you can really eat all that?” she asked
Ginger smirked as she raised an eyebrow. “Oh that? That's just a light snack.”
“You are fuckin’ with me, right? Ya gotta be.” Kas remarked, hoping she was right.

“Not exactly. My sister and I used to be competitive eaters.” Ginger replied as she took slid into the booth. Kas joined her on the opposite side of the table. She squinted her eyes as she stared at the girl across from her.
“You are all full of surprises, ain’t ya?” Kas asked.
Ginger giggled but smirked back at her. “I’m sure you got some juicy stories. Tell me something about you.”
“I used to be an actress but that was a long fuckin’ time ago.” Kas replied, quickly looking down at the table.
Gingers chocolate eyes perked up. “Really? Did you do like drama club or something?”
Kas sighed but looked up from the table. "It's a long story and it ends bloody. Short version, when I was a kid I used to act on a tv show. I lived in Australia, but we came to Hollywood for filming."
"Wait, seriously? Were you like… famous?" Ginger asked as stared at Kas bewildered.
"I was getting there but… well let's just say, we all have reasons for becoming hunters. right?" Kas replied with a long face.
"Order 32 is ready." A voice echoed from across the dining area. The voice came from the man at the counter and he had a huge mound of food between three trays.
Ginger looked up and smiled. "That's us. I'll be right back." She stood up and walked over to the counter. Kas just dropped her head again, closing her eyes and slipped from consciousness. She snapped back abruptly as clack of the plastic trays hit the table.
"You okay? Looked like I lost ya for a moment there," she replied.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm good. Just remembered something I was tryin' ta forget. That's all." Kas answered. She shifted her attention to the food and chomped into a slider, shoving several fries in her mouth in the process.
"I getcha. Well, what're ya drinking?" Ginger asked, grabbing both plastic cups.
Kas took another bite but peered over at her. “Put half ice, then do half Dr. Pepper and half Coke.”

“Sure thing.” she answered and quickly turned on her heel, walking away.
The two of them devoured their meal but when their phones chimed, Ginger checked immediately and saw a text from Jackson.
“Mr. Fisher says he needs us to meet him in twenty minutes.” she said, glancing over at Kas.
She raised an eyebrow and swallowed her mouthful of food. “Mr. Fisher? Why ya bein’ so formal about ole Jacko?”
“He is our teacher and commanding officer.” Ginger explained.
“Trust me, he doesn't care about titles and all that bullshit. Just stick ta first names, alright mate.” Kas replied. She checked her phone quickly and got the address as she stood up from the table. "Alright, let's go, Cookie."
She left the table and walked outside. Ginger lingered behind to clean up their mess but Kas didn’t care to wait. So, she quickly started up her bike and sped off down the road. Jackson had ordered that they meet him in the next town over. Luckily it wasn't far away. That seemed to be the benefit of small towns. One was never far from the other. The cool wind on her face wasn't very comfortable but Kas figured she would get used to eventually. Before long she pulled up to the address given to her by Jackson and parked next to a familiar shiny, blue mustang.
“Pixiedust and her pet Dako must be here early too,” Kas said. “He does have a nice car though,”
When she stepped inside the building a hotel lobby greeted her. Though, strangely enough it seemed to be empty outside of the receptionist behind the counter.
Kas walked up to the counter but before she could ask anything, the woman spoke. “Are you here for the Fisher party?
Fisher party? It seems kinda quiet for a party. Kas raised her eyebrow. “Yeah, I believe so.”
“I assume you must be Miss Bellrose then.” she replied.
“Yeah, that’d be me, mate.”
“Right this way please, Miss Bellrose.”
“Just call me Kas, alright.”
“Of course, my apologies… Kas.” The receptionist replied and lead her to a large double door. The entrance popped open and Kas looked back to see Ginger panting as she stood in the doorway.
“Kas, what the hell? You just left me there.” Ginger complained, stomping toward them.
“And you must be Miss Snapp, correct?” the receptionist asked.
Ginger stopped and her eyes widened. “Uh… yeah. Who’re you?” she asked in confusion.
“I’m Stacy Huchins, the receptionist here. You are expected. Right this way.” she answered and pushed the large double doors open, revealing a long hallway. “It’s room 4A. That's the second door on the right. Mr. Fisher is expecting you, the others are already inside.”
“Alright then. Thanks, Sunflower.” Kas replied to the receptionist.
Ginger leaned in next to Kas and whispered. “Sunflower?” she asked.
“Yeah, did you see how yellow her goldie locks and dark brown eyes. Reminds me of a fuckin sunflower, mate. Get it?” Kas whispered back.
“OH! You are more clever than you look. No wonder you are the top of the class already.” Ginger said, smiling as she adjusted her glasses.
“Whatever. Let's go, Cookie. Jacko and the wonder twins are waitin’ for us.” Kas replied and stepped through the door. Ginger quickly followed behind her, nervously shuffling behind her.
Kas found the door reading 4A and opened it, stepping inside. There was another short hallway with another door at the end and when Ginger stepped inside, the door locked behind them. A low pitched whirling rumble echoed around them and bright green beams fanned over them several times.
“Looks like Jacko is havin’ a fuckin’ rave instead.” Kas blurted out as a smirk appeared on her face. When the light show stopped, she let Ginger through the other door and revealed a small meeting room. Jackson, Dako, and Charlotte all sat at the end of a long boardroom-like table.
Jackson looked up when they entered and waved them over. “Come sit down. I need to explain the details of your mission immediately.
