《Grand Defender》Chapter 3

That meal was nasty. 10/10 would not eat burnt snakes again. What was even worse was the [Food Poisoning] that came with it, but I at least got a Perk out of it.
After eating burnt stuff and enduring [Food Poisoning] I was starting to get very thirsty.
Thankfully, I had seen a river when I was on top of the boulder, a river that looked pristine enough to drink out of.
My new Perk would probably help if I was incorrect.
I walked up to the small stream and drank several mouthfuls of water before stopping, having seen the reflection of a very special tree through the calm and silklike water.
A mango tree!
And even better, all of the mangoes were mature! It’s not like I don't like green mangoes, it’s just that I prefer ones that actually taste like something.
I grabbed the tree’s fruit from a low hanging branch and bit into it, its taste being several times better than what I thought possible.
As I got my face covered with the yellow fruit, I noticed some fish swimming in the calm river.
Catching them with my bare hands would prove quite difficult, as such, I engineered a plan.
Gathering the stones needed for my plan was easy thanks to [Geologist], I used a flat stone as a table, and chipped a smaller, but also flat, stone with a tougher one.
The process took a while but was easy thanks to [Mason].
I now had a [Stone Spear Head].
Congratulations! You have earned 1 level in both [Geologist] and [Mason].
All Stats+10
All I needed to do now was to find a strong and straight stick, which was also easy due to the abundance of trees nearby.
After finding the stick, I made a small rectangular cut at the end of it, in which the [Stone Spear Head] would go in. I made a roundish hole through both the [Stone Spear Head] and the stick when connecting them, putting a smaller stick in the hole, finishing the [Stone Spear] by securing the smaller stick to the bigger one with some makeshift rope I made using soft roots.

Congratulations! You have crafted a [Stone Spear]

Can be used as a wand for [Geomancy]
Not only is it a spear but also a wand?! How great!
And so, I held my weapon vertically in front of me, concentrating on its stone tip.
The uneven edges of the [Stone Spear] started to even out somewhat, and got slightly sharper.
Congratulations! You have earned 1 level in [Geomancer].
All Stats+5
Finally! A level in [Geomancer]!
It would take some practice to get used to it, but it will pay off in the end.
I sat on the river’s edge with my [Stone Spear] in hands, my legs crossed to prevent me from stabbing myself in the foot.
A fish who hadn’t noticed me slowly approached my location, attempting to eat something that was stuck between some rocks.
I quickly stabbed the fish, turning the clear water into a turbulent red mess as it squirmed.
I placed the now dead fish in the ground, and repeated the process another five times.

“[Spearman]!”
I was obviously going to pick [Spearman], but wasn’t so sure about [Fisherman].
[Fisherman] didn’t seem like a Class I’d use much, and I wanted to have a free Class Slot just in case.
Congratulations! You have chosen the [Spearman] Class.
[Fisherman] has been discarded
All Stats+5
Discarded? I expected the class to remain in Available Classes.
Well, I can't really do much about that.

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.
