《TeamFortress2's New Addition》Chapter Seventy-Five

You woke up from more than just a dead sleep. You had no dreams. It was like your dream mind was numb or something. Needless to say, it was puzzling to you.
Deciding to ignore if for now at least, you got ready for the day. Considering you'd be going into town, you realized that going to town in your uniform would look nothing short of suspicious, so you threw on a change of the clothes you packed. You wore these light denim shortalls with a muted green crop top underneath. If you had worn the black tank top underneath the crop top, it would've been an outfit you'd consider for school, but then you remembered you were an adult and you weren't in high school anymore. You cuffed the bottom of your shortalls and added some black shoes to your feet. You decided to style your hair a bit and grabbed a bag you brought with you. Not that you wanted to carry a gun or anything into town, but just in case, you added your belt into the bag. You slung the bag cross-body style over your shoulder and admired yourself in the mirror. You were really shaping up into someone. With a giggle, you exited your room.
It seemed as though you were the last one to be ready. You walked over to the kitchen and entered, and everyone turned to look and stare at you.
"Uh, sorry I'm late," you apologized and went to your seat. You looked around and was thankful the others were also in casual outfits. No had their eyes off of you, and it was starting to make you uncomfortable. "Thanks for, uh, breakfast." You didn't dare eat.
"Okay, I'll say what we're all thinkin'. Strats, dat is not what we expected you to wear," Scout admitted and you weren't sure how to feel just yet.
"It's casual day, right?" You could feel yourself start to be embarrassed.
"Well, yeah."
"Then what did you expect?" You laughed nervously and Scout shrugged.
"I for one thought you wouldn't have a sense of style, because you. Look. Amazing!" Scout laughed and you finally felt at ease. Your father had always judged what you wore, especially once you turned eighteen. It was nice to have someone approve of what you wore for once. You laughed with him. The others muttered awkward agreements, which you could only expect.
"So what are we doing in town? Are we splitting up or going together?" You looked around the table for some answers.

"It would be best if we stuck together. Don't want ta be lost or somethin'," Engie answered for you. The other nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Spy gets lost in dat fancy place with all da suits," Scout laughed and Spy huffed, glaring at him.
"It's not 'our fault 'ou don't know class," Spy smirked and Scout scoffed.
"I know plenty of class! Strats, tell 'em." He looked to you and all you could do was stifle a laugh.
"Alright boys, that's enough. It's time ta head out anyway," Engie waved it away and stood up.
The rest of your team stood up, you having barely gotten the chance to touch your food. Oh well... Together, you went to the trucks and hopped in the bread truck. You weren't sure how to feel sitting by Medic after what had happened, so you sat by Sniper. You noticed his eyes flash to you, but you ignored it. This was supposed to be a good day.
The drive to town wasn't long at all, but you still felt tense. You weren't sure how to feel about Medic and you didn't give it any thought. Oh well. You'll take the time to start it.
You were the first to hop out in Teufort. Demo led you all into the grocery store first. It was... lackluster. However, Demo did find a tiny tricycle that he rode around in while Sniper begrudgingly pushed the cart behind him. Scout pelted Spy with peanuts from the dispenser every now and again. It got to the point that Spy startled to try to strangle them. You had to separate the two with the help of Heavy. Speaking of him, Heavy walked you over to the movie section.
"What are we doing here?" You asked him.
"Heavy enjoyed watching movie with leetle girl. Wish for... better one this time," he did his best to put it lightly. You laughed slightly, remembering Medic's scary movies. Together you picked one out and headed back to the group.
There was one point where you lost Engie, but found him in the tools aisle making a little contraption. You had to quite literally pull him away from it. Sniper got lost with Scout in the outdoors aisle, and Scout stuck a butterfly net on his head.
"Why you little mongrel!" Sniper scowled and started to try to strangle him. You and Pyro pulled them apart. Pyro then bought too much candy, but it was his money. How it would fit in the truck, you had no idea.

Medic appeared from the pharmacy with some bandages and other things he would need to restock his lab, and you helped him carry it over to one of the many carts you guys had acquired. You didn't talk, there seemed to be a mutual agreement not to mention it. Soldier came back with a little, stuffed bald eagle. He appeared to be fascinated by it, and you weren't going to knock him for it.
After a very long check out line and a trip to put everything in the trucks (the candy adorned itself in the back of Engie's truck), it was time to go dress shopping. Mainly for you, though the idea of Scout in a dress was hilarious.
Spy held the door open for you and closed it on the others, resulting in Scout shouting something from outside that sounded muffled. Spy rolled his eyes and directed you into the store before the others could find you.
"Shouldn't we get their opinion, too?" You hesitantly asked. Spy scoffed.
"As if they would let 'ou wear anyzing half decent," he shook his head. He checked the surrounding area before relaxing and pulling out dresses. He asked for your size and you told him.
"What do you mean by that?" Spy stopped and rolled his eyes.
"One, they 'ave no sense of style. Two, they see 'ou like a child. Anyzing that would flatter 'ou would be thrown out ze window. Zat iz why I am here." You nodded in hesitant understanding. "Now, do 'ou want to help or not?"
You spent the next half hour trying on red dresses and dodging your team members who were looking for you. Funnily enough, the building was two stories and had multiple fitting rooms, so it was easier to hide. At one point, Spy even gave you a suit to try on. It made you feel hot, but it was more in the temperature sense and not the other way. The dresses were a whole story. There were long dresses, short dresses. Spy insisted you wear a poofy dress or a form fitting mermaid. You vetoed dresses without a back or that you deemed too revealing for your comfort level, but then, you found it. The perfect style. It was a mix of everything you wanted.
"Uh, Strats?" You heard Scout and made a stealthy dash to the dress. Spy distracted him while you went to try it on. It fit perfectly and flattered you in the areas you were comfortable showing. It was like a ball gown, but it wasn't poofy. If you sat down on the bench in the fitting room, it still felt comfortable. The dress came with sleeves that made you feel elegant. The boots it recommended went up to your knee. It was the perfect place to hide a weapon... or kick someone really hard. The top part of the dress reminded you on your new jacket, and the red underneath really complimented your team color well.
When you came out of the fitting room, Spy was there sitting on the bench outside. You tapped him lightly on the shoulder and stepped back for him to see. Even Spy couldn't get rid of the smile on his face. He clasped his hands together.
"It's perfect," he announced.
"What's perfec- woah," Scout stopped in his tracks the minute he saw you. Spy groaned. "Strats..." You laughed nervously. "You. Look. Beautiful!" Scout raised his voice just enough for the other teammates to find you, much to Spy's dismay.
"Lass, where did ya find this?" Demo asked as if they weren't in the store it came from.
"Oh the wall?" You laughed.
Eventually, after much convincing for Engie, you and Spy helped them agree that it was the right dress for you. Engie and Demo had the most hiccups about it, wanting to find one that wasn't so showy, but you eventually convinced them.
You were about to pay for the dress when Spy stopped you and handed the cashier the card.
"Spy?" You whispered, asking him.
"Consider it a gift," Spy smirked and thanked the cashier.
You couldn't contain your excitement as you held the box the dress came from in your lap during the ride home. You immediately went to your room afterwards and placed it under your bed for tomorrow. Then, you helped unload the trucks and put groceries away. You weren't sure whether to be surprised that Demo bought the tricycle and continued to ride on it inside.
You finally played some video games with Scout and then went off to bed, excited for tomorrow. Still, something bugged you.

New World to Experience
YGGDRASIL was ending, and Apoc was hoping to see the game as it ends. And fortunately, he did. Find a way back home? Or stay and change the flow of time? A little note here; this story is a bit rushed. Considered that it is old and I have little time to revise the story whole. But unless you dont mind it and decided to just read it for the sakes out of it, then be my guest... Not in a offending way obviously.
