“Before we start let me explain a bit of magic since you are a sorcerer it quite easy to explain, first there are levels of magic spell, it is divided into novice, apprentice, intermediate, adept, expert and master, the stronger the spell the larger magical essence you need, for a sorcerer like you, in terms of wizard like me, more knowledge and practice. Now there is also a different way of casting spells, verbal, ritual and somatic, verbal is the easiest, you only need to memorize the chant and the spell will be invoke, while ritual needs to draw magical circles and needed magical materials to work while somatic which is also called the chant-less spellcasting is the advance way of casting spell, only few magic caster can do this since its difficult internalize a complicated spell. And there’s the school of magic, there are eight official schools of magic, abjuration, alteration, conjuration, divination, enchantment, illusion, invocation, and necromancy, official because there are some magical school that was completely forgotten or never been acknowledge yet. Since you can already manage your magic, let’s start by the novice level but before that here wear this” El grabs a ring from his pouch and give it to Cyfern. “This is a magical ring that can help you channel a spell, every magical user needs a magic focus to perform a spell but for sorcerers like you, you don’t need one however as precaution use this ring.” El added. Everyone moves away from El as he prepares to cast a spell, he whips his wand “Let’s start with the basics, Light!” a tiny ball of light emerges from El’s wand. “Your turn please” El said to Cyfern. Cyfern concentrates using the ring El gave him “Light!” he utters. The same with El’s, a bright ball of light appears. “Looks like you can do the basics, let’s move on to novice level” El said. “I will use verbal casting for this spell, O spirit of the wild, assumes a form creature bestial, take this price granted by flame, take wing and lend me aid!” El mutters. From El location a gathering of magical mist circling in front of El’s wand forming some kind of sphere then burses, a brown barn owl emerges. Mili is amaze at what happen she never thought that magic was this remarkable. “Now you try Cyfern.” El urges. He assumes same position and repeats El chants “ O spirit of the wild, assume a form bestial, take this price granted by flame, take wing and lend me aid!” and like El’s, a magical sphere emerge in the ring of Cyfern but unlike El’s a black bat materializes. “Wow! Amazing, I want to watch more however there are things I need to buy in the market so I leave you three now.” Mili said. “Wait let me join you there are things I need to buy too.” Kit said.

The two exits the tavern and they are greeted by the hot sunlight scorching the paved road as well as some poor tiny creatures of the day. The town of Riverspring becomes more silent as the sun comes up which is bizarre to a city folk like Kit but for Mili it’s a part of life as the people of the town goes to their fields in this time of day to tend and leave the comfort of town to make a living in farming.
“Sooo, where you going?” Mili said trying to make a conversation. “Oh I just got out coz its becoming boring.” Kit answered. “What? You’re an idiot.” Mili said. “Idiot yet good looking” Kit teased. Mili ignored Kit and begin to walk towards her destination but then as she looks back Kit is following her. “Why are you following me?” Mili asked and look visibly annoyed. “I don’t know where to go so yeah” Kit replied. “Fair enough, but should you considered look for clues for your quest?” Mili said. “What quest?” Kit asked giving Mili a confused look. “What do you mean? The reason you’re here? Mili said. “Oh that mission! Right, so what is the story about that again?” Kit replied. “Seriously? Like really? Seriously?” Mili look at Kit who gives a dumb look in his face. “By the Gods! The quest your taking is about the missing people around here and the adventurers who take the quest yet they also disappeared” Mili added. “Oh really? wow looks difficult” Kit responded. Mili just sigh and shrug while she continue her walking, yet Kit still follows and after few twist and turns of streets she reaches her destination.
A little kiosk of few fresh vegetables and fruits whose store owner more looks like a blacksmith than a common vendor. He wears a common village white shirt, so fit that his muscles might rip the shirt apart; his brown hair is so messy that shows he just woke up and his breath smells alcohol as he speaks. “Gud day Milliana, same old order?” the vendor asked. “Yep same old” Mili replied. “Who’s that twig behind you? Husband to be?” the vendor queries. “No way! Me? Married to this girl, no way” Kit protests. “Kit’s the name and the old man’s name is Torm he looks like that because he used to be an adventurer like you and by the way is no way that I am getting married to that guy” Mili replied. “And also he’s here for THAT quest as well” Mili added. “Wow! Brave men, you know the story of who takes that quest right?” Torm asked. “Well aware of it.” Kit replied. “Well then, better asked the town head for it, you can get more information to him.” Torm suggested. “Ok thanks! So where is it?” Kit said “sigh alright I lead you to it.” Mili said.

She guides Kit through the sizzling almost empty street of Riverspring, to reach to their destination the town hall. The town hall resembles others structure of the town though it is the largest of them all, towering every building around it. The two enters the hall, and they are greeted with rather silent room nonetheless Mili knows where and who too asked to find the town head. “Hi Layla is the town head available?” Mili asked the girl wearing a simple yet professional looking dress. “Oh hi Miliana! Yes, he is available let me find him just wait here.” Layla replied. A minute passes and Layla returns with an old man wearing a rather old formal tunic but still hold some presence to it. “Good day Miliana, what is it you need of me?” The old man asked. “Good day to you to town head as well, this is Kit, he’s an adventurer his taking THAT quest.” Mili replied while pointing at Kit. “Oh? Did you know what happens to those who taken this quest young man?” the town head inquires. “Yep! Already know, well aware of the risk.” Kit nonchalantly replied. “Well then, let me explain to you in detail, just a three months ago a girl name Heidi goes missing, and a few weeks after that a man name Kaldor buy her house as Heidi does not have any family so it became property of the town, then few nights ago the house had burned down while he was away. A rumor around town claims that Heidi ghost set the blaze herself so no one will claim it. So I order the guards to investigate these rumors, so the people will not be a victim of hysteria but then every guard who did an investigation suddenly gone missing, so a put a sign for adventurers to find the missing guard but they also gone missing as well. So my request is to know the truth about this mystery and find the missing people.” The town head explained. “Damn! Fascinating story, thank you for the information I will go back to you if there is something or someone found.” Kit quickly replied. “Thank you and be careful young man.” The town head replied with a worried look on his face. The two finally got back to the tavern, sweaty and almost burn by the hot sun the two hurriedly enters and find the two boys enjoying having a conversation. “That was fast” El said. “Fast? Not fast enough.” Kit replied pointing at the incoming red light from the incoming twilight. “By the way, we need to talk El, is there a room for private conversation?” Kit asked. “Second floor turn right, you can talk there” Mili answered. The two boys swiftly get upstairs living the siblings below. “So… how’s the magic lesson?” Mili asked as she prepares the tables for the incoming night. “It’s awesome! I learn a lot.” Cyfern excitedly replied. “He seems a good person isn’t he?” Mili asked. “El? Yes they both seem great” Cyfern answered. “Kit good?” Mili scoffed. “I mean him kinda good but he is an irresponsible idiot” Mili added. Cyfern laugh “You don’t like him only because he is carefree.” “Carefree will kill you someday” Mili uttered. “You know it’s not your fault sister, you’re just a kid back then” Cyfern retorted. “Even so, I should be vigilant” Mili replied. Mili can see his brother smile suddenly disappeared and the happy atmosphere abruptly dawned by an awkward silence as she and her brother continue to prepare the tavern for the night. The silence is broken by the two boys going down the staircase. “Mmm what happen here?” Kit asked. “Shhh Kit! Sorry, by the way we are going out to investigate more about the quest” El said. “Ok be careful you two, and when you can back here I prepare a proper room” Mili said. “Wow free lodging?” Kit retorted. “Whaat? No, two silver coins per night” Mili snapped. “Sorry again, here our pay, we will be late for dinner, thanks again.” El said as he hands over their pay to Mili.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Shadowrun: The Wild Fire Tales
Shadowrun: The Wild Fire Tales is a web novel based on the Shadowrun tabletop RPG and video games. It tells the story of one Leon Eagles, formerly known as "Wild Fire", a quick and deadly gunslinger regarded as one of the best "shadowrunners" in North America. If you need someone to perform jobs in the shadows of society such as bodyguard duty, espionage, or even murder, Leon Eagles is the man to call. Together with his allies Sylvia Morrow and Brandon Rivers, Leon fights week-to-week to survive in a world of arcane magic and cutting-edge technology, a world of corporate suits and fire-breathing hellhounds, and a world where some of its biggest ever surprises are still yet to come...... This is my first web novel, brought over from ScribbleHub, and any comments and feedback are appreciated. Unique terms or further in-universe history for those unfamiliar to Shadowrun will be explained upon request, or you can check the ScribbleHub glossary here: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/297362/shadowrun-the-wild-fire-tales/glossary/. I hope non-Shadowrun fans become interested in the Shadowrun world at large, and I hope Shadowrun fans are entertained by my take on this great in-game universe!
