《Kain, The Apocalypse Overlord》Chapter 12 | Confrontation

Nev quickly nodded it's head at Kain, before jumping down from his shoulder and climbed up Beth's, who shuddered at this.
Kain: Now go and don't make me wait.
Squeakk
Nev nodded it's tiny head at Kain, while Beth just silently cried at what was happening. She just wished that all of it was a dream she was having. Her boyfriend being alive, her best friend being the bitch that she loved, her life back to normal.
Looking at her current situation, she thought of it as falling to hell and not managing to crawl out of it.
Standing up and cleaning a little bit of her mess with some toilet paper, although it only managed to help a little, she was about to reach the door of the bathroom, when Kain blocked her.
Beth: Huh?
Kain: You can't go through the door.
Beth: Why not?
Beth didn't realize that Nev had disabled the door of the men's bathroom, since she was panicking internally at that time.
Kain: Just go through the window.
Beth: What? AH!!!
Kain: Is that a problem?
Beth screeched at a cold touch in her neck, struggling to not move her entire body but, at the same time, attempting to gaze at was touching her, she found it to be a knife.
Beth: No! It's no problem.
Kain: Good.
The three of them soon went through the window, discarding completely the mess that was forming outside of the bathroom they were just in.
The friend, Rose and Beth signaled when they left the classroom earlier, was standing outside of said bathroom with a group of students while the principal and couple of teachers could be seen in the distance approaching rapidly their location.
It wasn't like the white division was soundproofed, so the screams of agony and screeches of the two young women were heard almost through the entire ground floor.
They had tried everything to enter the bathroom, but they didn't manage to do it in the end. This was mostly because of the confusion created by the increasing number of surrounding people, with the chaos add by the events, they could assume was forming in the bathroom. This worsened especially when they received the dread news of the events regarding of what happened in the alley.
Although the police tried to keep some isolation on this matter, it was impossible. No matter what how fast they were, Christian' father was faster.
The principal, already some kind of veteran on the matters regarding this 'new' Kain, immediately kicked down the door to the men's bathroom, shocking the surrounding students and teachers.
Stepping inside he quickly had the teachers block the access to the students, he had a bad feeling growing within him. Making the turn and peering inside he found something that caused his insides to turn. Barely reaching the sink he threw out his whole breakfast and morning lunch.
Meanwhile, the teachers were curious about his actions and follow him, only for most of them to imitate their principal, filling the lavatory of the men's bathroom.
The students could make a guess of what was in the bathroom, by guessing it from the teachers and the principal' reactions, and smell wafting from the bathroom.
As this was happening, in the school, Kain was hiding himself near Beth' home, waiting for her to come with Nev.
He already knew that after the events from the alley, he was in deep shit. Although it wasn't something that he would have done differently, if he had let them have their way, he wouldn't be able to live his life and dive dungeons comfortably.

He didn't even have to wait too long, since he could see Beth appearing in the distance walking rapidly towards him. The strange thing was that there was nothing behind her to explain her behavior, but only God, and two wicked beings, knew the reason behind it, with even one of them being dangerously close to her.
Beth: "Where is he?"
Reaching the gates of her home, she looked around in search of a certain young man.
phiu-u
Just then a whistle sounded to the side of her home, which was, like all other mansions in High-Neighborhood, surrounded by a brick wall around 1.35 meters tall, and, to top it off, the Lynstein mansion, which was Beth's one, had a pathway to the right, when facing it up front, that led to luscious and thick forest that covered the rest of the island. It was to the point that the forest surrounded the city and mount, to the west, especially with the fact that the island was surrounded by a steep clif on all sides except for the south where the docks and beach were located.
Tracing down to where she felt the whistle came from, she found Kain shortly waving at her before stepping back. He was hiding in the shadows, provided by the brick wall surrounding the Lynstein mansion, and concealing his presence with a nearby bench and planted tree.
He was just being safe, since rarely people would cross where he was located, not to mention that he was rather well concealed with the use of the bench and tree. But it was better to be safe than sorry.
Beth: Kain. I brought what you wanted. Au!
Beth crouching near him, gave him the items inside the plastic bag, she was holding, when she felt the strength leaving her legs and causing her to crash on the hard concrete, that composed the sidewalk, with her big butt.
Kain: Good. Where is Nev?
sque--
A muffled sound came as a response from the black young woman, who blushed at the feeling she was having. Soon a head popped out from between her breasts. It was no one other than Nev.
Kain: It seems that you found a rather good place to hide yourself in.
Squeakk!
Beth: Kain. Can you tell him to get out? Please.
Contrary to Nev that was enjoying itself, Beth was desperate to get rid of the purple rat. It was the main reason behind her being in a hurry. Nev had gotten inside her cleavage when they were going inside the shopping center, since it was going to be pretty strange sight for a rat to accompany her. Especially a rat as special as Nev, with all of it's abnormal features and color.
Kain: That is your problem.
Kain didn't even look at her in the eye while he undressed and threw his clothes in a pile, causing Beth to blush at his sight and turn her head around. It was an involuntary act from her, since she had seen her boyfriend naked, a lot of times.
Feeling confident in herself in this matter and turning to look at him, she was shocked by his body. Not because he was bulky, had a six-pack or a handsome figure. None of those. It was because of the countless scars that covered his body, from his torso to his feet. She couldn't even begin to count the scars he had when she noticed the state his back was in. She wasn't an orthopedic, but she could see how badly the state his back was in.

Beth: …. kain...
Kain: What is it?
Pulling up the jeans Beth had brought him, he felt rather comfortable in them. They weren't a perfect fit, but he couldn't ask the impossible.
Beth: H-h-how-w...
Looking back at her, he saw the state she was in. Looking down he could guess what her reaction was about.
Kain: Aha. You are really dumb. I don't know if I should feel sorry for you or smack you in the head.
Releasing a dry laugh, he couldn't help himself and look in contempt at this beautiful young black woman. Was she so blind and naïve that she managed to not notice his situation? Was she oblivious to her boyfriend and his friends beating him up till he was barely alive?
Beth: … I am sorry. I didn't know.
Kain: Hahaha... you should really shut your fucking mouth before I shove it in with my foot.
He was losing his patience with this girl. He didn't believe a single word she was uttering right now. It was too much of a coincidence for her to not know shit of the suffering 'he' endured till his death.
Beth: ….
Beth said nothing in response to Kain' harsh words.
Unfortunately, this was the truth. Beth really had no idea about the severe bullying Kain endured at the hands of his father and Christian' group. Although she was rude with him and insulted him at every turn, she did it out of involuntary behavior to associate with the popular kids, Rose and Christian. It was to the point that she just wanted to know how Tom was, when he told her, early in the day, that he had to take care of some business. She didn't know that he was referring to Kain, she didn't push for an answer, nor did she want one.
After that her confidence grew to high levels, especially when she began dating Tom, who she felt loved her the most, and her parents' careers rising exponentially.
While Beth was having a self-evaluation, Kain had finished dressing up in the clothes she brought him and began cutting his hair with the pair of scissors.
When he was done with all the changes, he looked a completely different person compared with before. The most notable change was the change of old, worn-out clothes to new and stylish clothes.
Kain: Let's go.
Beth: Where?
Kain: What do you think? Your house.
Beth: … you know.... that I live with my parents, right?
Beth did as told and got up from the ground and went to open the gates with her key, with Kain soon following behind her inside.
Kain: And?
Beth: What do I say to them? About you?
Kain: Hmm.... say that I am a friend of your boyfriend and that we are comforting each other.
Beth: I don't think that will stick.
Kain: I don't care. Know that if they found about me, I will silence them. Permanently.
A jolt hit Beth as she felt her body tremble. She was beginning to feel desperate and not being able to control her anger towards Kain.
Beth: You can't do that.
She could barely utter the words through her gritted teeth. She was holding herself back from pouncing on him, since she felt that she wouldn't be able to win. It was to the point that she had completely forgot about Nev, that was looking at the situation with a curious gaze while still inside Beth' cleavage.
Kain: I can do whatever I want in the situation I find myself in. Whenever that be killing you all or rape you right here, right now.
While answering back, he was looked around the space and noticed that the mansion layout was different from his home.
Just as he crossed through the entrance, he was in a big living room, that was at least two to three times bigger than the back at home.
Beth: fffff.... what now?
Beth breathed out heavily, to composed herself, she was feeling a raging fire within her to beat up Kain in front of her, completely forgetting the state his body was in.
If he wasn't going to believe her and even treat her like shit, to the point of even threatening her family, she also wasn't going to submit and look at him in a good eye.
Kain: "Not a bad place. I should think about what to do with my current situation..."
Sitting on the couch and turning on the Tv, he stretched his sore limbs before placing them on top of the coffee-table.
Beth, on the other hand, stood right beside him without sitting down.
Kain: What is it?
Beth: Can you get it off me?
Saying so Beth pointed towards her breasts, where Nev was still nesting and enjoying itself on the warmth from the young black woman.
Kain: No. You can consider him to be your protector.
Beth: Protector? Yeah right! You just want it to keep an eye on me!
Kain: And here I thought that you had that head of yours for nothing. Good thinking. You are completely right. Now go.
Beth: rrrrrr
Rattling her teeth in anger, Beth flipped her black curly hair at the resting young man before going upstairs, supposedly to her bedroom, with Nev still placed comfortably in her cleavage.
Unknowingly to her, if she moved accordingly and well, she could catch and, even, kill the purple rat named Nev. This was because of the location Nev was in.
Nev was, in short words, a glass canon, in other words, it meant that without it's agility, Nev was vulnerable.
Beth hadn't realized this possibility because of the show of power from Nev, it's speed and cruelty in killing Rose was still present in her mind, traumatizing her. It was an event that would traumatize and torment her for the rest of her life, much less a few moments later.
The three of them soon had a simple lunch, that consisted of grilled meat, sautéed vegetables, white rice and some freshly squeeze orange juice. Beth' hair shone under the sunlight, she had taken a shower before coming to eat. This was because she had enough of the looks the people gave her at the clothing store, when she went there to buy the clothes for Kain, not to mention that she deeply wanted it. It helped her relax after all the shit that happened during only one morning.
Beth: I am surprised to find that you cook so well. I wouldn't have guessed.
Kain: You would be right. "It's good that I learned to cook in my previous life. Although it isn't much, at least it fills up the belly."
Beth: So.... what now?
Kain: Oh... good question. It seems that you are beginning to catch up.
Beth: I may not be as intelligent as you suggested, but I can listen. Unlike some people.
Feeling confident in her response, Beth puffed out her chest, where Nev was no longer there. Since he was eating a juicy cow grilled steak.
Kain: Good for you. You will be coming with me to explore the forest.
Beth: The forest? Why? Are you thinking of living in the forest to escape your crimes?
Kain: The reason behind it doesn't concern you. Now does it?
Beth: …. no.
Kain: Good.
The two of them were about to move out when upon reaching the gates of the mansion, they found a black SUV parked right outside the gates with an incredible gorgeous woman standing tall beside it.
She had a gorgeous and simple yellow dress that barely reached her knees, black high-heels and black, classic, sunglasses.
Beth had never seen this woman before, but the same couldn't be said about Kain. He felt some sort of familiarity with this woman. Knowing that, he immediately realized where that sense of familiarity came from, the memories of the previous host of his current body. He didn't even have the time to look through the string of memories, when the gorgeous woman moved and opened the door of the black SUV.
???: You are rather difficult to keep track off. I didn't expect to have this much problem in looking for you.
Kain signaled Nev to hide in the bushes of the garden of the Lynstein mansion, with his hand that was behind his back. Meanwhile, a man in a grey suit, with a red tie that had golden triangles, and greyish neat hair, stepped out from the black SUV as he spoke towards the two of them. A big smile was present on his face as he spoke, with his gaze never leaving Kain' figure.
Kain: "What is this?"
Kain felt a shudder through his entire body. It was far worse than what he felt when facing Christian. He immediately knew that this guy standing in front of him, separated only by a single pair of metal gates, was far more dangerous than those groups of shits he faced in the alley.
Kain: "Who is he? …. Warren? …. Uncle Warren? …. Godfather Warren?...."
Rapidly going through the memories of the previous host, he was able to identify the man standing opposite to him. At the same time, he realized why this man was so dangerous. In comparison with Christian and his father, the cunt, this man was the leader and boss of those two, it just showed how powerful he was. This without mentioning the fact that both his father and Christian were scared of him.
Warren West. The most feared man of Milory, with his reputation even extending outside of the island. He was a business man known for his viciousness and incredible market decisions, although this was just the public image he created to hide his true identity, one that Kain knew about because of his father. Drug Lord.
He ran a group of thugs, gangsters and drugdealers, dealt in the business of drugs, illegal weapons, prostitution, slavery, human-traficking, (...) and many more, he even felt that his knowledge was shallow. Not to mention the fact that all he knew was because of his father being 'brother' of this monster, that stood in front of him.
Kain: "I don't think I can escape this situation. She is hiding it pretty well, but I can clearly see the strength she is applying to her left hand."
Warren: You should let go of those thoughts.
Kain was genuinly surprised for the first time since he transmigrated into this world. He was beginning to think that the man before him was a true monster, until he thought of the situation he was currently in.
Kain: "There is no way.... he knows about Nev.... the only that knows and is still alive is Beth...."
Gazing sideways to Beth, he saw that she seemed to be completely oblivious of the current situation the both of them were in. Although he preferred for her to be this way, otherwise he knew that she would panic and make the situation worse.
Kain: What do you want?
Warren: Isn't that obvious?
Kain: One would think so.... but this doesn't seem the case.
Warren: Hahaha.... I am liking you more and more. Let's go inside.
Warren smiled at the response by the young man. After getting the news of his son death and the circumstances surrounding it, he immediately knew that something was wrong. He was determined to learn what it was. He had a feeling that it was something good.
Beth: Wait a minute. You can't just--
Kain: Shut it.
