《Quick Transmigration: The Blackened Male Leads Pulled Me Once Again》Chapter 26: Pleasant Rest (2)

When night came, Aster was still in the room. By Aster's actions during the day, Keira presumed that Aster would stare at her until she fell asleep. 'Like I could ever fall asleep with someone constantly staring at me!'
Keira was getting nervous as it got deeper into the night. She has no clue where and how she could fall asleep. Although the bed in Aster's chambers was big enough for four people to fit in, that doesn't digress the fact that there is only one bed in his bedroom. Keira refused to lay on the bed, no matter how comfortable it looked.
Having her guard up, Keira could not help but flinch when Aster finally moved from his table after sitting on it all day. His eyes softened and he said to Keira, "It's time for bed Keira."
It was Keira's turn to pretend as if he didn't hear Aster's words. She remained motionless and had her head turned to the opposite side of where Aster was standing.
Seeing this, a deep chuckle emerged from Aster's throat. He slowly made his way to where Keira was situated. Keira could hear Aster's footsteps growing closer but Keira still refused to look at him. Aster's eyes narrowed, observing Keira's nervous expression.
"Don't worry I won't do anything. I'll sleep on the couch, so you can sleep on the bed." Aster assured Keira while still having his smile and Keira couldn't help but glance back at Aster. Peering into his golden iris, she could see the sincerity on them. Keira couldn't help but get mad, he was tired of Aster feigning ignorance.
Keira stood up and she raised her hand.
Slap.
Keira slapped Aster's face hard, causing his face to turn sideways. She glared at Aster and exclaimed, "Stop this charade Aster. Return the Manpasikjeok to me. I don't have time to play with your mind games."

Aster remained motionless for a brief second, then the smile on his face dropped. The transition was so quick that it sent shivers to Keira's back. Aster slowly turned his head back to Keira. His smile was completely gone from his face and only a dark gloom was visible. His eyes were devoid of emotion but beneath them lies intense emotions he had long suppressed.
Watching this terrible side of the male lead resurface again, frightened Keira. She took a step backward but Aster also took a step forward. Keira continued until she stumbled on a chair. Aster wrapped his hand around Keira's waist, steadying her figure. Their eyes never left each other.
Keira tried to push Aster away but his arm had a firm grip on her. She tried to struggle but Aster wouldn't budge. She began to feel nervous, the rage she carried before has now been buried by the fearful look Aster was giving her.
"Why are you running away? Aren't you the one who proposed that I should stop with my charade? Then I won't hold back any longer."
"A—Aster, stop this nonsense." Keira's voice quivered.
"Nonsense? Is everything I do in your eyes nonsense, Keira?" Aster's eyes showed a dangerous glow.
Aster, "If so, I'll prove that I'm serious. I'll never let you go even if the world insists on separating us."
Using his other hand, Aster gently caressed Keira's cheeks, rubbing his thumb back and forth. Keira looked at Aster's crazed expression and could not help but utter, "You've gone insane."
Aster released a chuckle as he displayed an alluring smile and said, "Keira, it's time to go to bed."
"Aster, stop this." Keira wrestled in Aster's grasp.
Doing the same action as yesterday, Aster rested his hand on Keira's eyes. Keira could feel herself weakening, falling into a deep sleep as her body slumped towards Aster's chest.

Aster carried Keira to bed and put her under the quilt. He grasps Keira's hand, tracing every bone and finger with his hand. He gently lifted Keira's fingers like a precious treasure and brought them to his lips, lightly kissing them one by one.
Still having his eyes glued on Keira's sleeping appearance he softly muttered under his breath,
"Yes, I have long gone insane."
...
System 999, watched as Aster kissed its host fingers individually then left the bed to lay down on the crouch still staring at Keira until he fell asleep. Aster actually upheld his promise and slept on the couch not doing anything further than kissing Keira's finger. System 999, could not understand the male lead's action. However, it still knew that it should not tell this host for it would only panic.
...
The next day, Aster's attitude became colder and more commanding when it came to Keira eating her meal. He was not acting coquettish anymore nor was he pampering her. Whenever Keira would try to bring the topic back, Aster would shut it down immediately. The meals were still being delivered to the room at a designated time. Aster never left the room, and when he did it would only take less than 5 minutes not giving Keira any leeway.
At night, Aster would put Keira to sleep, and sometimes he would kiss her forehead, kiss her hand, and other parts of her body, other times he would just stare at her before going back to the couch to sleep. Although he would do this with Keira sleeping, he never took the initiative to do anything further.
Keira didn't know if she be grateful that Aster hadn't done anything yet or be nervous. As the saying says that the more a person holds back the more likely they would explode all at once. Just imagining Aster snapping sends cold shivers down Keira's body.
The days continued to pass this way, making Keira become impatient. There were many instances where Keira just wanted to buy a teleporter from the system's store but System 999 would stop her from doing so as it would cost 5,000 points and this was only the first world.
Just as Keira began to feel extremely bored being cooped up in the room all day, that was until—she heard a commotion outside her room.

The Kiss of Two Moons
The last year is upon us. The world is ending, but you already knew that; everyone does. Spring has come, and the flowers have bloomed here in this small town with no name. Thousands of different colours now paint the field that had been coloured by frost alone just yesterday. The townsfolk have gathered by the field to celebrate the beginning of the last spring with so many smiling faces. Tears too. I can’t help but wonder whether the flowers will bloom again before the sky falls upon us. Others must be thinking the same. There are moments when the smiles fade and their eyes glaze over as they realize just how near to the end we are. They forget it again in moments. They make themselves forget. The children aren’t like that, though. They don’t seem to understand, or they’ve come to accept it in a way that their parents just can’t manage to. This one boy actually asked me why I was sad. I had to wonder whether he was actually aware that the world is ending, but it seemed wrong to mention it. I ended up just telling him that I was waiting for someone, and he scampered off, wearing a silly smile. I can’t help but feel jealous of him. The beginning of next spring; the day that the world ends. It seems so far away, yet so close. Wherever you are now, I have to ask, how are you spending your last spring? Did you get to see the flowers bloom? Did you smile? Did you cry?
