Chapter 37: Zaira Village (Part 1)

We were trapped inside the sword cave after interacting with a pillar inside a hidden room of it. The white lights suddenly glowed from the jewels we placed on that pillar, they swallowed us into the bright light.

My body felt so heavy, my head hurt but I managed to get up, slowly opened my eyes, the thing that appeared in front of me was now looked like a village.

That village would be very normal if it didn't have many tree houses up the trees, the trees were very tall, the village itself was covered with leaves and wooden houses.

What the hell? Why did I wake up here, in this village? But something was very strange, isn't it?

"Sarah...stay cautious..." - I heard a voice from behind, that was my sis's voice

Then turned around and saw my sis was now behind me, also two ammo crates that behind as well, but I didn't see John, where was him exactly?

"Tuku! Tuku tuku, tuku tukutukututuku!" (Hey! Who are you humans? How did you get here) - I heard a voice from behind calling me in a strange language

Before I could realize it, my sis had already pointed her M21 Sniper Rifle at the voice behind me, I looked back and also pointed my M4 rifle to that voice just in case.

I saw about 5 men, they were quite slender, wearing leaves clothes, pointing their bows and arrows at us.

All of those men were blonde-haired, their hairs were very long, they seemed very young, I looked around more and noticed all of those men had pointy ears.

Those were Elves? What just happened? Did I and my sis got transferred to another world? The hidden room inside the sword cave was a portal that led to it?

"Tuku! Tukutuku tututukutuku!" - (Drop down those magic staff, humans! We won't do anything to harm you if you accept our demand) - An elf shouted loud to us

"Tukutuku! Tukutuku!" (Drop down your weapons, now!) - Another elf shouted to us, he pointed his bow at me in very cautious

What should I do now? My sis was now pointing her rifle at those men with a deadly face, she seemed willing to fire if the situation went bad, those elves, neither I nor my sis know the language they were speaking. How could we settle down the situation?

"Tukutu tukutuku!" (Please everybody, stop!) - I heard a voice of a woman speaking in that strange language

Then I saw those elves stop pointing their bows at me and my sis, they started moving out, stopped surrounding us, a few seconds later, I saw a figure of a woman. That woman had very long blonde hair with slight blue eyes, wearing green a laurel wreath on her head.

She also wore a leaf dress, also slender like the other elves, she walked toward me and my sis, I noticed that her ears were also pointy but shorter than those elves men I saw before, this woman was also an elf.

"Tukutuku! Tuku tukutuku!" ( Prophet, please stay away from those humans! They are dangerous!)

"Tukutukutuku! Tutukutu!" (Prophet! Please don't come close to them!) - I heard those elves that pointed their bows at me and my sis was now talking to that elf woman, they seemed very worried about her

But those elves were too late, at the time they are done saying those words, that elf woman had already close to us, she opened a slight smile at me and my sis.

"Seem like two of you cannot understand our language, you two ladies! But the clothes you two are wearing look similar to the clothes from my ancestor, also those weapons as well." - That elf woman said to us in English, she also said about her ancestor looked the same as us

What the hell? Did her ancestor also come from our world? But the thing I was nervous about the most now was not those elves or my sis's behavior, she was now pointing her weapon at that elf woman. I didn't see John anywhere, where did he go exactly?

"Tukutuku! Tuku! Tukutuku!" (These humans are alright! They are fine, they are our allies) - That elf woman said back to other elves from behind

Then I saw those elves lowered their bows, they were still cautious at us but not like before. They seemed very respect that elf woman, she must be someone important.

"You too, ladies! We have no harm on you, please also lower your guns down!" - That elf woman said to us, I was so surprised to hear her say the word "gun", her ancestor must be from the army, my sis had lowered her rifle down but still in cautious

"My name is Yura Jung Zaira Anderson, Jung is this Elf kingdom's name, Zaira is the name of this village, also where I was born, Anderson is my ancestor's surname. Nice to meet you two, about you?" - Yura introduced her name to us, she also raised her hand out to do the handshake

"Sarah Hatano!" - I made a handshake with Yura

"Shizuka Hatano..." - My sis also picked Yura's hand to do the handshake with her

After the handshake, Yura turned back to the other elves, she shouted loud to them.

"Tuku tukutukutuku! Tutuku"

(These people are no harm to us, they are friendly, let them pass!)

"Tutuku tukutuku! Tukutuku tukutuku!"

(You people, can you please take those two crates inside the renew magic warehouse and cast spells on them for these ladies, please!) - Yura seemed to beg those elves

Those elves men made a nod to Yura then took our ammo crates away. What were their purpose for taking them?

"Don't worry, Sarah! Shizu! I hope you allow me to call you Shizu, we will keep those things inside our warehouse. When you need them, you can come back there to take them, okay?" - Yura said to us, I hoped she wouldn't do anything bad to our crates

Then Yura held my hand and my sis's hand, she intended to lead us somewhere, two elves wielding swords on their left belt, also bows on their backs and arrow holsters on their right waists. They were walking with Yura as if to protect her from us.

"Tuku tuku!" (Leave us alone!) - Yura ordered those elves

Then those elves left Yura at the time they heard her words, they even looked back at Yura every time she walked with us, they seemed very worried about her.

"You think you don't need those men? They are your guards!"

"Don't worry, Sarah! I will make sure to the people here that you two are trustworthy for them! Our elves' relationship with humans has gone bad recently so please don't mind their behaviors!" - Yura said to us and kept going while holding our hands

"You seem nervous, Sarah! What's wrong?" - Yura asked me

"I, I just! My friend has gone missing! His name is John Rigen, he was with us inside the sword cave and for some reason, we got here, but he has just gone, I didn't see him!"

"Sword, mountain?" - Yura seemed confused at my word

"We are not coming from this world, okay! We are from another world, we just suddenly got here when we got stuck inside the place named sword mountain."

"There was a white light that covered us and took us away, when we woke up, we have already here!" - I was so nervous so I talked to Yura right away

"Another world?" - Yura seemed didn't understand what I said

Then Yura stopped holding our hands, she stopped, looking at us a bit longer then speaking a word.

"You two just like my ancestor, he was also coming from another world, that was a tale that my parents told me. I don't it believe at first but I do now!" - Yura said to me and my sis, she seemed a bit shocked

Then Yura held our hands and kept walking again, this time she went faster than before.

"Wait! About my friend, John!"

"Don't worry, you two! Your friend named John Rigen must be a hero that got summoned, he must now be somewhere in a human's kingdom."

"The human kingdoms have a tradition every ten years, they will hold a ceremony to summon one hero in only one country, the hero will be trained well to have the duty to eliminate the Demon Lord."

"Your friend must be a hero that got summoned, he may now be trained in a human kingdom for that duty."

"The human kingdoms can only summon one so you two may be out of the order of the summon so you two got drifted here." - Yura explained to us, I was relieved to know John was still safe but why did I still nervous

"But how can I find him?"

"We may find him later, it won't be too late, but at first you two must know our language first!" - Yura said to us then running faster

On the way we went, I saw a lot of treehouses, they were very tall, the elves must be living in them.

I also looked around for more, I saw elves were cutting wooden logs, also planting plants like wheat, nuts...

Some elves had noticed us but, some of them stared at us at the time Yura led us past the way, they scolded their eyes at us, seemed very hateful.

But they only scolded us with their eyes, nothing else, they didn't even throw rocks or anything like shouting at us, the elves seemed very clement as the way they were portrayed in the fantasy fictions or movies that I watched.

My sis, she didn't speak any words, maybe I should ask her some.

"Sis! You seem very calm at this, I was very shocked but you keep behaving normally like that!"

"Sarah!...I was also a bit...shocked..." - My sis said to me with that emotionless face and that cold voice again, she didn't behave like she was shocked to me

Then Yura finally led us to a cave, then we got inside there, two elves women seemed to be working inside there. There was a big lake that had the water that glowed green colored, looked like acid to me.

"Tuku! Tukuku tuku!" (You two, get these two women two cups of sacred water) - Yura seemed to order those elves

Then I saw those two elves looking at us at the time they got ordered from Yura, they scolded their eyes at us a few times then took two wooden cups to take the water from the lake.

After taking the water, those elves women handed over to Yura the cups of those green water, Yura took those two cups and walked toward us with a happy smile.

"Please drink!" - Yura raised to us the cups of green water, waiting for us to take them

"Is the water poisoned?" - I asked because I was scared

"Sniff! Sniff!" - My sis took that cup right away from Yura's hand and sniffed them carefully

"Don't you two worry, the water you see in here is the water of sacred, this lake is created by Goddess Katia so long ago. It can help the people like you to know our Elven language after drinking it." - Yura explained to me, she said the word "Goddess Katia", this fantasy world only had a god or Yura just mentioned the god that her people were worshipping?

Then I took the cup from Yura's hand and drank it right away, I took all of my courage to do it, at first I thought the water would be very hard to drink. But no, it was very yummy for some reason, my sis also drank with me at the time she saw I drank all of the water.

After drinking the water, we looked at Yura, she was now looking at us.

"Tuku! Tukutukutu tukutuku tututukutuku!"

(Seem like you two have already understood what I said, right? You may now talk to the other elves with your language as well, don't worry! They will all understand!" - Yura said to us

Though she said in another language but for some reason, I understood all of them, then Yura led my sis and me out of the cave and walked somewhere.

On the way we went, I saw many elves, they closely looked at us when we were going with Yura, I also heard some of them whisper.

"How did humans are permitted to get in here?"

"Why did our Goddess's prophet has to go with those humans?"

"Why did the prophet behave so friendly to them? The humans burned down our houses, they stole my wife away from me, even killed my kids!"

"Our Majesty should have declared war on humans, we and they already have a truce not to violate each other but the humans keep violating us! All the humans must die!" - All of the words I heard, if the elves didn't whisper,

they would glare their eyes at us, seemed full of hatred

But I was now wondering about the real social status of Yura in this town, the elves said she was a prophet, what did they mean?

My mind was about to go crazy when I interacted with many fantasy things like these. I was very lazy to read but very excited to watch, I had seen The Lord of The Rings series movies, also played a lot of The Elder Scrolls series games.

I had interacted with many things like those and I saw them as very normal but this time. I saw those things in real life, in front of my eyes so my head had spun very much.

But seemed like I managed to calm down so well, my sis was better, she said to me she got shocked but I didn't see like she was shocked. Maybe my sis just pretended.

I think that I managed to calm down so well like this because I had a chance to know these fantasy things back in my world. if I didn't know those, I would go crazy at the time I went into this world.

"Yura!"

"What? Sarah!" - Yura turned her head to ask me

"I heard the people here whisper that you are a prophet, you can see the future?"

Yura looked at me a little bit and opened a laugh.

"Haha! Hahaha! Oh, excuse me! Yeah, you're right, Sarah! I can see the future, but it's very rare, the reason why I was called a prophet is that my ancestor also had one to have the ability like me."

Then I and my sis went with Yura inside her house, it was also a treehouse that looked very tall on the trees.

At the time we got near to her house, suddenly an elf man that wore leaves clothes stood at Yura's house, that man seemed a bit old, must be an elf that had aged.

"Ah! Good afternoon, or evening, Village elder!" - Yura greeted that elf man, also bowed to him

Then that village elder stared at us, he stared at our uniform, even weapons and the bag we were bringing. After looking at us closely, he sighed.

"Sigh! Yura, I hope you know what are you going to do to them, the way they dressed meant they look like the hero that saved this world 500 years ago. But also the way they appeared made me nervous, Yura!" - That village elder expressed his feeling to Yura

"Yes, elder! My ancestor has saved the world out of the Demon Lord once but the way these girls appeared here meant the destiny of this world is in danger, sooner or later."

"I'm very sorry, elder! I still not see the future yet!" - Yura apologized to the village elder, she seemed very ashamed when her status meant the prophet but cannot see the further fate of this world

"Don't worry, Yura! You may feel tired because of too much thinking! You may see the future of the world if you relax your mind a bit, about these girls! You two are welcome to stay here, ladies!" - The village elder said to Yura and greeted us

Anyway, Yura! The tale about your ancestor and these girls, you must not show it to the people here, okay? It's a secret of the elves people, and also the wish of your ancestor!" - The village elder warned Yura then went away

Then Yura slowly saw the village elder walk away from her house, until his figure went away, Yura invited us to go inside.

"Please get inside!" - Yura invited me and my sis to go inside her house

Then we got inside, the house was made of wood but it seemed to be made in a very long time, with the material of wood looked to be more than hundred years.

I knew that I cannot see John this time but why did I still nervous about this, I really wanted to see him right now.

"Yura, how can I find John?"

"Oh! It's hard to tell, Sarah! But as I said, the way you and your friend-"

"Shizuka is my older sister!"

"Okay!"

"I don't think an elf can say that word, the "okay" word seems very different to you all"

"My ancestor used those words quite much when he was alive so it has become my habit for saying it, my parents also used those words when talking to me."

"We got here by walking inside a hidden room of the sword cave and a white light suddenly appeared when we got there, after that, we woke up in this village, that's all!"

Yura held her head a little bit, she seemed very serious about this.

"I don't know how to say, maybe your friend is still alive somewhere, don't worry, Sarah!" -Yura tried to comfort me

"Don't worry...Sarah!...I'm still...here with...you..." - My sis comforted me

Why did my sis say that, she didn't care about John at all!

"Sarah! Can you touch your hand to my head?" - Yura asked me, I didn't know what she meant

"I need you to describe your friend's face, John Rigen in your head so I will have the ability to know where he is!"

Then I touched my hand to Yura's face while thinking about John, Yura's face suddenly turned hot, then few seconds later, it ended. Yura looked a bit exhausted after that touch, she looked at me and opened a happy smile.

"I can see that your friend is still alive, Sarah! I don't know where he is right now but I can feel that he is alive!" - Yura said to me

"How did you know?"

"I'm a prophet, Sarah! I can guess the status of someone to see if that person is alive or not!"

I saw that outside of Yura's house was now about to dark but back in my world when we were inside the sword cave, it was bright at that time. Maybe the time of this world is different from my world.

Then I looked around the house, seemed like only three of us there, I wondered where was Yura's parents.

"Yura! Where are your parents?"

Then Yura's face suddenly turned sad, did I say something wrong?

"Yura! Are you okay?"

"Ah! Nothing, it's about to night soon, you two must have dinner, let me bring it to you!" - Yura seemed to avoid talking to me

I saw Yura wipe something in her eyes like her tears then went to a room that looked like a kitchen. I was relieved that John was still alive but I was very worried to know where he was now.

Maybe I would eat some before thinking about finding John, I turned back to see my sis, she was now taking out stuff from my and her military bags.

She took out two Smart Advisors and turned them on, I didn't have a chance to use Smart Advisor, I was about to think about using it to find John.

Then my sis walked toward me, she had now placed two Smart Advisors in her hands.

"Sarah...I will go outside...a little...bit...you stay here...with Yura..."

I was shocked after hearing my sis say that, where was she intended to go? Going out alone in this another world, what was her purpose for doing that?
