Chapter 22: Discuss With Reimi (Part 1)

Reimi's perspective

I am looking for Sir Rigen according to the address that he wrote in the letter to Her Highness. I'm now leading my horse with me on the streets, the address should be very close now.

Seemed like the address Sir Rigen told in his letter is an inn, he may now stay inside it, I will get inside to get him, and after that ride him back to Her Highness.

I let my horse outside then walk into the inn slowly, I called Sir Rigen a word but seemed like he didn't answer, there is a stair up there, Sir Rigen must be up the floor.

"Who do you want to find, lady?" - A little girl, maybe the inn's employee asked me, I didn't notice her existence until she called me

"Reimi? Why are you coming here?" - A voice from the stair called me

"Sir Rigen! Finally, I found you!"

Finally, I found you, Sir Rigen! Maybe I should pay a little talk to him before suggesting Sir Rigen return to Her Highness.

"Papa! Who is this woman?" - That little girl called Sir Rigen "papa", what?

"Hey Reimi, don't mind about Eris, she always doing jokes!" - Sir Rigen replied to me

She may be the owner of the inn, the kid that talked to me must be her daughter

"What are you doing here, Reimi? Don't you say to me you came here for that Mentor!" - Sir Rigen asked me

"That was a part of my duty, Sir Rigen! But the main part I came here is to bring you back to He-, I mean Lady Shera!"

"And also Reimi, stop calling me Sir Rigen! Call me John or Sir John instead, you have already made me so outstanding here!" - Sir Rigen asked me to address him as he wanted

Though I don't understand what is he meaning yet.

I stood dazed a little bit, trying to figure out what Sir Rigen meant, but seemed like I cannot understand at all!

"Reimi, you are truly a muscle brain!" - Sir Rigen called me that title, I also don't understand what was that meant

"You two are so funny! Sir Rigen, the breakfast will be ready a few minutes later, your friend will also be invited too, I will go inside to prepare now!"

"Eris, follow me, sweetheart!" - That woman called her daughter to go with her

"Please call me Milch, miss!"

"I just left my horse outside, do you know anywhere for me to keep it?"

When I was about to lead my horse to the keeping place, a man looks like the commander of that post came outside, he stared at Sir Rigen and then said a word.

"This lady's horse is allowed to be kept at the cleanest place and pays no charge!" - That man said to his guards

Then I let the guards, let them take my horse away. Who is this man exactly?

"Thank for the help, Grenze!" - Sir Rigen thanked the man named Grenze

"You two should go back to your place! Lady, I swear I will treat your horse as good as possible!" - Grenze said to me

Then we go back to the inn, during the walk, I have asked Sir Rigen about the man named Grenze.

Sir Rigen said to me that he knew him the first time he got inside the town, but Sir Rigen only said that information to me, no more else.

Then we walk inside the inn, getting to the kitchen to enjoy the meal that those two mother and daughter made for us.

By looking at the meal, I can see it had been made very well, but the nobles like us have to eat these filthy meals from the commoners, I hate it.

"Because Sir Rigen is here with me so I will enjoy the meal for his sake, otherwise I will go out right away, you filthy commoners!" - I whispered to myself

Then I look at Sir Rigen, who is now sitting next to me, about to eat the meal made by those commoners.

Sir Rigen glared his eyes at me, seemed very mad, did I just make something terrible? Or Sir Rigen precious those people.

"Sir, Sir Rigen!"

"Just eat, Reimi! I will talk to you later!" - Sir Rigen said to me with a normal voice though his eyes are still glaring at me

Then I ate the meal in a fearful mood, I hope I didn't make anything to make Sir Rigen mad. After breakfast, I go up to Sir Rigen's room as his order, waiting to get my punishment.

Rigen's perspective

Looks like Reimi just made me upset during that breakfast, but if I think back carefully, her behavior was not that rough.

Every noble would have done the same as her, because they want to show they are special. But let's deal with Reimi later, I still have something to talk about with Milch and her daughter.

"Milch, Eris! I want to talk!"

"Just wait for us a few minutes, Sir Rigen!" - Milch said to me, I understand that she is now cleaning the dish

"Wait for me a little bit, papa!" - Erissen addressed me like that once again

"Call me John or Rigen, don't say papa to me anymore, Eris!"

"Understood, papa John!" - Eris then opened a childish smile to me

Then I ignored Erissen and went to help Milch and her daughter to clean the dish, seemed like the cleaning had been done sooner, I later sat on a chair, opposite Erissen and Milch.

"I know you two are having a hard time, please take the money, this is 50.000 Atta coins from the reward of killing the Assassins, use it carefully for you two!" - I put a bag of money down on the table in front of those two

Milch and her daughter got shocked after hearing what I said, they were shocked at the amount of money they would receive from me.

"Don't worry, I know a guy that lives near here, I will ask that man permission to stay with him!"

"But! Sir Rigen, even if we bought another house, we would invite you to stay with us as always, thank you for everything, Sir Rigen!" - Milch deeply thanked me

"I will do my best to help you everything, mister!" - Erissen also doing the same

"I don't want to make you two worry anymore, please take that easy, I will go upstairs now to discuss something with my friend!"

Then I run upstairs to talk with Reimi, as the time I went up, Reimi is now kneeling on the floor, she raised her head, staring at me, seemed to be forward to something.

"What's wrong, Reimi?"

"Please punish me as what you want, Sir Rigen!" - Reimi said aloud to me

"Just stand up, I just don't want to see you rude again with those two, okay Reimi?"

"Thank you for your kindness, Sir Rigen!" - Reimi thanked me though I didn't do anything

"Hey Reimi, just who is that Mentor, you know his identity, right?"

"I do, Sir Rigen! But I'm afraid that I cannot tell you!"

"Why?"

"I'm very sorry to make you see me so useless like this, Sir Rigen! But that order came from His Majesty so I cannot against his words!" - Reimi now behaving like a child

"Just! Take it easy! Mentor said to me that the coup was not his fault, it was just a misunderstanding, I don't know if his words are true or not!"

"But he seemed not really like a liar, you were Mentor's former disciple, right? You may have something that you want to talk to him about!"

"Yes, I do! But I don't think the thing I want to talk to that man really that good!" - Reimi's eyes turned into soulless eyes, I can feel her face is full of anger

"Calm down, Reimi! You stay inside this place for a moment, alright? I will go outside then return with something to give you a mood!"

"Reimi?" - Reimi seemed didn't have any reaction to my words

"Yes, Sir Rigen! As you wish, I will stay inside!"

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, thank you for your care, Sir Rigen!" - Though Reimi answered me but her voice seemed very heavy

"I will be back soon, wait for me!"

Then I left the inn in a hurry without saying goodbye to Milch and Erissen, I only bring with me Advisor, my sword and one flashbang. I think I will get inside a shop to buy a stuffed puppy to make Reimi feel happy again, girls always love pets even with the fakes so Reimi must be the same as that.

But I think I should get to Mentor's place first to ask him more about the coup and somehow try to tie again the relationship between him and his disciple.

I got into the sewer route as always, when I got into the arena I got up there and called for Mentor.

"Mentor! Are you here?"

Then I see Mentor, he is now wearing raggy clothes as always he does, sitting on a chair nearby, looking at me but seems like doesn't look at me at all, but seems like to look at something behind me.

"John! Who is that behind you?' - Mentor asked me

After hearing what he said, I turned around with a shocked face, Reimi has stalked me all the time since I got out of the inn but I didn't notice. Reimi's face is now very angry, her eyes show no emotion, she shuts her mouth, slowly walking towards Mentor.

"Reimi?" - I called Reimi but seemed like she didn't hear

Mentor after hearing what I said, suddenly stood up, going closer to Reimi while unarmed.

"My daughter, that was just a misunderstanding, I was not behind the coup 10 years ago, I had been blamed for that guilt though I did nothing, you should return to warn His Majesty, tell him to execute his Prime Minister immediately!" - Mentor explained to Reimi, though she is now breathing like a psycho, about to enjoy the killing around her

"Shut up! Shut up!" - Reimi screamed loud to Mentor, her voice is full of anger

"You are not my father! My entire parents died in that coup, they left me alone to live a lonely life! It was all your fault! You killed them! I will kill you! Kill! Kill! KIll! Kill! Kill Kill!" - Reimi seemed to lose her control, she shouted louder, nonstop

"Put down the sword! I will tell you the truth here, my daughter!" - Mentor explained to Reimi

"You were not the intestine child of Sir Frieden, I adopted you from an orphanage and gave you to him to raise you!"

"I'm very sorry that I cannot raise you properly, I was so cared about politics of the Kingdom at that time, my daughter!" - Mentor trying to calm Reimi down

"That's not the truth! All of your words are lies! I must kill you! Kill you! Kill you! Killlllllllllll!"

Reimi then lost her control and charged toward Mentor, her sword is now in the thrust angle to Mentor's heart, she is just away from Mentor about a few meters.

Reimi's eyes are full of death, she opened a sick smile when she was about to stab Mentor.

I immediately rush towards Mentor to protect him, I must do something before everything got worse.
