Chapter 20: Family Matter

Well! My pain is still there but maybe I have used to it, I should have called a Healer instead of going back to the inn alone, hoping that I will capable to take care of the wound myself.

The wound is not that bad, no bleeding, I don't know if any bones are cracked or not but instead of complaining about the pain, I should get back to the inn.

I get back to the inn and immediately sit on the nearest chair as the time I got back there, that wound still hurts. I look around the inn, where are Erissen and her mom? I wonder.

Eris said to me that her mom has gone shopping but I think she should be back here already. About Erissen, no idea where she went.

Then I hear some footsteps coming out of the stall, Erissen is going out to check the inn, she sees my wounded body and then opens a cunning smile.

"Hey! Dear, want me to help you by doing something pleasure?" - Erissen came out of the stall and whispered to my ears, instead of talking to me directly

"Oh, mister! What's wrong? You are wounded? You must get to a Healer immediately!" - Erissen's mom, Milch is now back home, she seemed very worried and cares about me

"Don't worry about me, madam! I think I'll be alright!"

"No! You should go to a Healer now!"

Then suddenly, Milch sighs, she told her daughter away from me, then checked my wound, she felt so relieved when my wound isn't bleeding.

"Mister! I will take the pain away for you now, just in a few seconds!"

Then Milch raising her right hand to my wound, speaks a word:

"Heal!"

Just in a few seconds, my body feels comfortable than before, it didn't pain like before, I stood up and moved around, even raising my hands and my legs around. Milch, this woman can use the Healing magic.

"Seems like you're fine now, mister! I was a Healer back then but later changed to open this inn for business! Don't worry about the money, mister! That will be no charge!" - Milch said to me while opening a happy smile

"Thank you a lot, madam!"

"Just call me Milch!"

"So Milch!"

What should I say now?

"Can you teach me, never mind! Are you going to have lunch with your daughter right now?"

"Yes, of course! But most of the meals we eat on a day are a random selection, I hope you won't be annoyed about that, mister!"

"No, I won't! Anyway, just call me John!"

"Then John, please take a seat over there! We will prepare the lunch as fast as possible, we will eat together!" - Milch pointing her right hand to a table that from a room seems like a kitchen room behind the stall

I don't mind eating with these two but why do I have a strange feeling about this.

But sooner or later, I chose to sit in that kitchen, I can see Milch is working very hard to prepare the lunch.

Very different from her daughter, Erissen is walking around and watching me, I don't have any parents but I cannot take it to see this scene.

How can a daughter behave so lazy like that, not even helping her mom with a single thing like preparing the dishes?

"Hey, dear! Look like mom always go farther than me! I must learn more from her if I want to take your heart!" - Erissen whispered to me again

"Eris! Stop annoying our customer! Get back to work!" - Milch shouted loud to her daughter

Then Erissen got back to work as Milch said, I also tried to help Milch to prepare the lunch though she always said to me that she could do that herself. Then few minutes passed, with my help, the lunch has been done sooner.

The atmosphere when we are eating seems very quiet, no talks, no jokes, it makes me make up my concentrate to think about other things. Then I remembered the detail that Erissen talked to me about that this inn only has me as an only customer.

"Milch! Hope you won't feel annoyed when I ask you but, I just notice that I'm the only customer inside this inn!"

"Mister John! Please don't say anyone about this! This place before became an inn had been a brothel, so I think you won't be surprised so much after hearing what I said!"

"And also I was a, a, a prostitute! If you show any hate against me, I won't mind about that!"

"I just want to raise my child, Erissen! I want her to live in a place where she can feel happy!" - Milch whispered to my ears

Milch froze for a few seconds after hearing me criticized her but later, she calmed back.

Then Milch turned to look at her daughter, Erissen, seems like Eris had already known what her mom said to me.

Then Milch instead of saying so quietly, talks to me clearly, loud enough for her daughter to hear.

"Women are just slaves! Are just the toys for men, mister John!"

"Why, why do they have to need a Healer like me when they can scratch up my clothes and do anything they want from me!" - Milch said to me while doing a very sad face, seeming very disappointed

"Sorry if I made your heartbreak, Milch! But how can you take care of yourself and your daughter when this inn only has me an only one customer?"

"If you stay here until night! You will know, John! I will either go out the streets to become a prostitute at night or there will be many men gathering at my inn, waiting for me to serve them!

"Forget about Eris, I think we should clean the dishes now, I will help you!"

Then I get upstairs to get back to my room, I want to sleep a little bit before getting to Mentor's house but then from behind, Milch says to me some words.

"Sir Rigen, at night you may hear strange noises in my room, I hope you won't mind about it, I will do my best to low my voice down !" - Milch said to me with a serious voice

I hope I can do something to get Milch out of this.

Then I got back to my room and took a sleep, few hours later, I got up and went immediately to Mentor's house.

"Oh, John! You seem very busy today, good luck out there!" - Milch waved her right hand to goodbye to me when I got out of the inn

Since I got to this world, I have to learn many things like to talk with the people here, I cannot talk normally to the other people like in my world, even need to be used to eating the foods here.

I also have to be used to the weather in the world that has no fan, and no air conditions, remember to drink enough water if I don't want to be dehydrated.

And also the hardest part, to urinate and defecate, my toilet papers had gone with the bullets, but I have to admit that, this world seems not backward as I thought.

There are public restrooms all over the place, even in the taverns or the inns though I only see some but do not use them, there was a time I used a restroom, that was the time since I was still together with Princess Shera and Reimi.

The toilet papers are very well made, clean to wipe your wastes, also the hygienic system of this world, I don't know how it works but seems like it also works very well.

At first, I thought this world's public restrooms would be similar to the public restrooms from Ancient Rome but no, you don't need to put a stick that has a sponge on its head into your butt to clean it.

There is also not having the cases that you are going somewhere on the streets and hear someone from the house above shouting you stay out and spilling their wastes from their buckets down the streets.

As always, I followed the way to Mentor's house by using the sewel route, I already got here but I don't see Mentor anywhere, and I don't understand why Advisor just keeps silent, does this AI gets smarter day to day to not listen to my words?

"Mentor! Are you here? Mentor! Mentor!"

I still look around, I don't see Mentor anywhere but when I turn around, about to go back to the inn, I got a goosebump, it was scarier than playing Japanese horror games or Five Nights At Freddy's.

That's Mentor, he suddenly standing behind me since when but I didn't notice, I look down to see and notice he didn't wear any shoes, that may the reason why I didn't hear him!

Then I pick up that sword and swing around, can't Mentor just teach me some techniques to practice? Or does he need me to be used to the weight of the sword? But I stop complaining and keep swinging the sword.

"Your sword skill is as same as Reimi when she was 6 years old!" - Mentor gave me a reply but I don't know if he was complimenting me or teasing me

Then I keep swinging the sword, forgetting about the time until Mentor called me.

"John! That's enough for today, you may rest now! Get here again tomorrow!" - Mentor said to me

I was exhausted a little bit when I did swinging the sword, I take a few minutes for a walk and then go back to the sewer but I want to say goodbye to Mentor.

"No need to say goodbye, John! You don't consider me as your teacher so our relations are just for benefits!" - Mentor said to me

"But I consider you a friend of mine, see you tomorrow, Mentor!"

"Sighs! Alright, see you again tomorrow too, John!" - Mentor said goodbye to me

Then I get in the sewer to get back to the inn, when I got back to the inn, it was already dark. There's only Erissen opened the door for me, seems like she had waited for me for a long time.

"Get inside, eat fast and sleep, my mom will have an aberration with the strangers tonight so you won't be able to sleep when hearing her moans!" - Erissen talked to me with scold eyes, she glaring at me like to kill me

Then I walk inside the inn, I don't see Milch anywhere.

"Where's your mom?"

I slowly peek down and see Milch, she is now standing with the other 6 men, they are like drunks, Milch's clothes had been scratched a little bit, and she is now doing lewd expressions to invite the men to her "love room".

"You guests have 6 people, right? Then I would serve all of you all night!" - Milch said to the men while stripping her clothes slowly

"Hey, this bitch will serve all of us, you heard?" - A drunk talked

"You won't be able to stand tomorrow, you old whore!"

Then Milch led those men to her room, I can hear "banging" sounds on the other side of the room, Eris also coming to the door and doing eavesdropping while peeking through the windows.

I get back to my room and try to sleep, but no! I cannot sleep! I may need to find a way to save these two people as soon as possible!

Reimi's perspective

"Reimi! I have prepared all of your stuff, a good horse, and enough rations for 3 weeks and a good armor for you, by the way you said to me, that must be very dangerous if Sir Rigen keeps following that old man" - Her Highness is very cares for Sir Rigen

Her Highness is now ordering me to get to Swei town immediately, she has prepared for me many things.
