《Majo Magica》Chapter 10

The next day, Akeru heard a knock on her bedroom door. She walked to it and opened it to see Aurora standing there.
Aurora: Is it alright if I come in?
Akeru: Y-Yes it is fine…
Aurora walked in and sat down at a small table in the room. Akeru sat on her bed and looked at the Witch.
Akeru: So, what’s your reasoning for being here?
Aurora: My my…can’t I just have a conversation without a motive?
Akeru: W-Well I…-
Aurora: I jest, dear…I have a proposal for you and your Mage. I believe Benjiro already talked to him earlier, but I need your answer as well…we wish to keep and train the boy for a month.
Akeru: Why do you need my answer then?
Aurora: Because you are traveling together, I refused to do something if both of you did not want to do it.
Akeru: I assume he said yes then?
Aurora: Indeed, Benjiro brought the idea to me, and I thought it was a fantastic idea. While Benjiro can’t teach him magic, he can teach him other things.
Akeru: Why is he so strong anyways? He can only do Grade 1 Magic, right?
Aurora: He trained his body well; he doesn’t like to use magic. It’s part of his code, I suppose.
Akeru: I see…well, I suppose we can stay; I can’t very well get far without him.
Aurora: You two are free to use my study and the castle library in the meantime. Though, I doubt he will have much spare time to read…
Akeru: May I ask you something else while you are here?
Aurora: Of course, ask away.
Akeru: Is there any way to get to the northern country that wouldn’t be expensive? This amulet I have around me… has a sibling I need to find. I believe it will help me remember everything. I woke up with nothing but this in a cave somewhere; it must be necessary.

Aurora: I see…I can look into it. While I cannot fund the adventure myself, I believe I could find you someone who could.
Akeru: We would be very thankful for you, and thank you for everything you have done for us!
Aurora: Oh, it is no problem, dear! Now then, I must be off. Please make this castle your home.
Aurora got up and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Akeru laid back in her bed and sighed heavily.
Akeru: A whole month…we were already behind, but now…bah, it doesn’t matter. If this will help Itsuki, then I am all for it. Besides, maybe I can find something about this amulet somewhere or more about these Witches.
She stayed in her bed and thought of all of this. Itsuki was already training with Benjiro, who was rough with the boy. The two would train and gather information throughout the month through the books. They would dine with Aurora every night; however, Akeru and Itsuki barely talked to each other. Primarily due to time reasons, they both believed if they had time to talk, they had time to do something beneficial.

The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
