We all stand around Daniel, watching and hoping he will be able to heal him. From what I can see though, it is impossible. The most Daniel can probably do is enable him to stay alive for a little bit longer.
In front of us is a grisly scene. A boy is slumped against a wall. A huge smear of blood on the wall leads down to the back of his head. His blood stains the ground all around us, but the worst of it is the look on his face, one of extreme shock and fear, like he did not expect to die so quickly. I glance at Daniel who has a frown of concentration as he works. His hands are covered with blood but that does not seem to faze him. He works as quickly as possible but it does not seem to have any visible effect.
"Will he be okay?" asks Lathia. Of all of us, she seems to be the most anxious that he survives. After all, he was in her care when it happened.
A moment passes and Daniel does not say a thing. Finally, he turns to us, a look of resignation on his face. "There's nothing I can do. I'm sorry but brains aren't exactly my specialty. He's probably going to die in the next four hours if nothing is done."
I feel a pang of guilt at his words. This is all my fault. "Don't be so sure about his death. That's the same thing they said about me isn't it?" I speak with confidence I don't feel. Somehow my words seem to calm them.
"The police are coming," says David as he turns his head to listen to some inaudible sound.

"Has all evidence been cleared?" I ask as we all suddenly come alive. Our time here is up. After confirming nothing could be traced back to us, I turn to leave.
"Will we report this to the Masters?" asks Lathia. I hesitate for a moment before nodding. We are going to get in some deep trouble because of this. With the police nearby we leave the boy for them to find, leaving no clue that anybody else was ever here. A little mystery for them to chew on.

Author's note: Things to expect: - Adventure, magic, and myth? Sure - Action and a bit of dry humor? Why not~ - OP MC & VILLAINS. - Mind the tags. It's a litrpg and slow-paced. - Oh! MC is a bit suicidal! Things not to expect: - Romance. I've no intention of adding romance in the foreseeable future. - Good grammar (Fair warning: I'm not native and might have some issues with the language. I hope you guys will be helpful and kind to point out the wrongs.) Greetings! 'The Direwolf Sorcerer' is my first work, so be supportive and kind by pointing out my flaws. Thanks! ( This went by the name 'I died & reincarnated as wolf in fantasy world' almost a year ago in RR. Due to personal reasons, I dropped it only after 4 chapters. Now I'm writing it again, just with a new title.) *UPDATES EVERY SATURDAY I've plans for the cover art, but that's for later.
