[TO COMPLETE TRIAL-28, SURVIVE FOR ONE MINUTE]
'System, you are not helping me... How the hell I am going to face with something like this for a minute?' Leon complained as the golem started running towards to him.
Running? No, since lava completely covered his surrounding. He is currently on an island, but just covered by lava, rather than sea. So the only way to get out alive is going against this monster. At least Leon thinks so.
'Shit! He is faster than I thought,' Leon thought, while using his all brain cells to find a way to stay alive.
While the golem runs, the ground underneath it trembles with its weight and strength. Leaving its foot steps by crushing the hot ground while the surrounding air burns with its heat, it takes only a few seconds to get close to Leon.
[REMAINING TIME: 51 SECONDS]
'Tsk, okay. I will dodge its attacks by using my Qi,' Leon makes a quick-plan when the golem raises its arm to crush Leon.
[-70 Qi] [Qi: 80/150]
[-30 HP] [HP: 280/310]
While avoiding its fist with just inches, only the hot air around its arm was enough to burn Leon's face.
[REMAINING TIME: 46 SECONDS]
'Not did only take almost half of my Qi, also managed to decrease my HP without even touching me,' Leon thought. If not for his new armor's protection, he could have taken much more damage.
Not wanting to burn to death, "Activate [LOWER MANA ARMOR]" Leon commanded before the golem made his next move.
[ACTIVATED]
[DURABILITY: 100/100]
This time the golem decides to crush Leon like an insect by using its leg.
[-80 Qi] [Qi: 0/150]
"Shit!" Leon says while channeling Qi to his legs to run from getting crushed underneath the golem's feet.
[REMAINING TIME: 37 SECONDS]
*BOOM*
Creating a shock-wave that is mixed with some hot magma and rock fragments when its leg touches to the ground sends Leon flying a few meters. Luckily, the mana armor surrounding him takes damage for him by blocking some rock fragments.

[DURABILITY: 40/100]
Rolling on the ground for a second, Leon gets up by doing an acrobatic move.
[REMAINING TIME: 30 SECONDS]
Good news, he didn't take any damage from this attack. Bad news Leon is out of Qi, and that means he won't be able to dodge its attacks like before.
Waiting for the golem's next attack, Leon observes it. But this time the golem doesn't run towards to Leon nor tries to crush him.
"What are you doing?" Leon wondered while observing the changes in the golem's body. While absorbing a great amount of mana from around it, all the hot stone fragments on the golem trembled when mana got into them. When they absorbed enough mana, burning with the heat, their color changed from black to magma orange before firing themselves to fly towards to Leon like bullets at a great speed.
*CRACK*
[DURABILITY: 0/100]
[(LOWER MANA ARMOR) DEACTIVATED]
"FU-," Leon couldn't even complete his word when a stone fragment pierced through his head.
As soon as the fragments touch the mana armor, mana armor can just block few of them before it breaks into pieces. Leon can't even react as dozens of pieces pierce into his body. Piercing through Leon's body, even his armor can't protect him from these stone bullets.
[-280 HP] [HP: 0/310]
Many of them hit Leon's body while some of them destroyed his skull.
[REMAINING TIME: 24 SECONDS]
[TRIAL FAILED]
And with this, Leon finds him in the hands of cold darkness once more.
…
…
..
Leon floated in the darkness for an unknown time until when a light illuminated everywhere.
Opening his eyes, seeing the white sky of the hub again, Leon sighed with relief. He doesn't know if he stayed in there so much in his first time, but every time when he finds himself in there he just feels like he will be stuck at there forever.

Standing up again, Leon realizes the state of his armor. The stone fragments that hit it made a bunch of holes in it.
To check its status detailed, Leon uses 'analyze' on it.
[Woldymir Armor Set]
[Rank: 2]
[Material: Reinforced Iron]
[Defence: 150>132]
[Durability: 68/100]
[(When All Equipped) Effects: +3 VIT +3 AGI]
"Ugh, I haven't even used it properly," Leon complained.
"At least it is still usable after that attack." Leon said.
Getting the Tyrfing out of his inventory, "And it seems that with my current stats, I'm not ready for Trial-28" Leon felt weak, just like he was at his first levels. So he started training again, as sitting here won't help him with Trial-28. After all, he is on his own here, no prayer, no one, no god can't save him from here other than himself and his determination. Leon will not give up like him…
….
..
.
[REMAINING TIME: 60 SECONDS]
In the centre of hell, a man and a golem are looking at each other from opposite sides. But if you look at the man closely, you can see the melted parts of his armor with many holes in it, like the man came out of hundreds fight.
*INHALE*
Leon takes a deep breath when the golem moves its legs to run towards to him.
Leon started counting as the golem get closer and closer.
"4"
"3"
"2"
"1"
"Activate [LOWER MANA ARMOR]," Leon says as the golem raises its arm to crush him. Channeling his Qi to his lower parts, Leon jumps to left, causing the golem's punch miss him.
[-40 Qi] [Qi: 110/150]
[DURABILITY: 90/100]
[REMAINING TIME: 49 SECONDS]
Touching to ground again, Leon counts his steps while walking to back.
…
"5"
…
"10"
Stopping in his 10th step, Leon looks at the golem that is coming towards to him to crush him under its foot.
Leon counts again.
"5"
"4"
"3"
"2"
"1"
"Right leg…" Leon mumbles before the golem tries to crush him underneath its foot.
[-70 Qi] [Qi: 40/150]
Jumping to left while channeling Qi, "Six, one to head, three to chest, and two to legs…" Leon said to himself when the golem creates a shock-wave.
*SLASH*
*SLASH*
[-40 Qi] [Qi: 0/150]
Swiftly swinging the Tyrfing while channeling Qi in it, Leon cuts in the air every fragment of stone and magma that is coming towards to him, like knowing where they exactly will come.
[REMAINING TIME: 30 SECONDS]
Touching the ground again, Leon runs while counting his steps, as the golem absorbs mana from air.
"12"
"11"
...
"5"
...
"2"
...
"0"
"Jump in 3,2,1," Leon says before jumping as the golem fires stone fragments towards him after absorbing enough mana.
*SWOOSH*
*SWOOSH*
In air, before touching to ground again, Leon dodges dozens of stone fragments with just inches.
[REMAINING TIME: 14 SECONDS]
As the golem starts running towards him again, Leon just looks at it blankly while counting seconds.
"10"
...
"8"
...
"4"
Leon continues counting seconds as the golem lands its fist on smashing Leon.
"3"
"2"
"1"
"0"
*SWOOSH*
[DURABILITY: 50/100]
A blast of hot air hits Leon's mana armor as the golem stops abruptly when there are only a few inches between Leon's face and the golem's fist.
[TRIAL-28 HAS BEEN COMPLETED]
Touching the golem's fist that stands just a few inches away from him, "You took me 12 deaths," Leon smiled.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
