"Ah, I completely forgot that I leveled up." Leon said as he pulled himself together from the excitement he felt.
"Let's see which ones I should put my points into."
"Open status screen!"
[LEVEL: 7 (360/4000)]
[HP: 150/150]
[MP: 80/80]
[STRENGTH: 26]
[AGILITY: 23]
[VITALITY: 15]
[INTELLIGENCE: 8]
[ATTRIBUTE POINTS: 5]
[SKILL POINTS: 5]
[INVENTORY: (TUTORIAL BOOK), (HALF-DAMAGED IRON SWORD x3), (HALF-DAMAGED SHIELD), (HALF-DAMAGED IRON ARMOR SET) ]
[SKILLS: (PARALYZING STRIKES-Level: 2/5)]
[CURRENT TRIAL-9]
"Hmm, I think I better put them into vitality and intelligence. Because my strength and agility already have more points than others. Plus, I can increase them with training." After reasoning with himself for a few minutes, he decides to put three points to vitality and rest of to the intelligence.
[VITALITY: 15>18] [HP: 180/180]
[INTELLIGENCE: 8>10] [MP: 100/100]
'Ah, nothing feels as good as leveling up,' Leon thought, as power and relief spread to his whole body.
"Finally, I can buy a skill. I wonder if even beginning skills like these take this much time to get. How many days will I spend on getting stronger ones? Or should I say weeks, months, maybe years?"
"Well, I will find out eventually. Enjoy now, complain later." Leon said as he laughed at his own joke.
"Open system store!" with Leon's command system store appeared.
[FASTER REFLEXES- 5 SKILL POINTS: Increases your reflex speed for a certain period.]
[BASIC COMBAT MOVES (PASSIVE)- 5 SKILL POINTS: Player learns about basic combat moves and also gives extra buff in close combat.]

[BASIC MANA CONTROL (PASSIVE)- 5 SKILL POINTS: Buffs all magic skills damage.]
"There is no need to think. I select [BASIC WEAPON TECHNIQUE]." Leon commanded without hesitating even for a second. He already chose this skill from the moment he first saw it.

[CONFIRMED, SKILL [BASIC WEAPON TECHNIQUE] HAS BEEN GRANTED TO PLAYER]
[WARNING!!! TO RECEIVE PASSIVE SKILL FOR THE FIRST TIME, ADAPTATIONS MUST BE MADE BETWEEN PLAYER'S BODY AND SOUL. THIS IS ONLY A ONE TIME THING!
"Wait wha-"
When skill was granted, Leon's soul was sent into an endless space. When he opened his eyes again in this endless dark space, there was a man made from light in front of him. He was brightening this place with his body. Leon couldn't take his eyes off the man even though he wanted to look somewhere else. Leon could neither speak nor move his body like he was only allowed to look at that man. And when man started swinging his sword, with every swing a new information about using the sword entered Leon's mind like there was a connection between two of them. At one point, the man dropped his sword and picked up a spear and started swinging it too. After the spear, he picked the bow and lastly the shield. When he dropped the shield too, Leon's soul pulled back to his body.
After returning, Leon felt like his head was going to explode. He held his head in pain. Although he had learned these movements with his soul there, these informations entered his brain to create muscle memory when he returned to his body.
"F-fuck, this is more painful than all the trainings I have done until now!" said while gritting his teeth in pain.
Even though it took only 20 seconds, Leon felt like someone had tortured him for 2 years.
After standing up, "Tsk, fucking system. Whoever created this shit must put the warning before getting the skill!" Leon cursed the creator of the system.
[PLEASE CHOOSE A PRIMARY WEAPON AND A SECONDARY WEAPON!]
[SWORD] [SPEAR] [BOW] [SHIELD]
"Huh, a selection screen?"

Leon doesn't know why this screen popped out, but what it is saying is simple.
Leon is sure about what he will choose for primary. Of course, the sword will be his primary weapon, but what makes him think is the secondary weapon. Bow? Nah, he prefers facing his enemy. Spear? Maybe. He used it before, but is still not sure about choosing it. Using a spear is good. Puts a safe distance and enables you to attack wider. But using it with a sword will not go well. It cannot be said that they are very compatible together. So only one option is left. Shield. İt will give him the protection he needs and would be compatible with sword too. So Leon made his choice.
"I choose [SWORD] as primary and [SHIELD] as secondary."
[CONFIRMED]
[SKILL [SWORDSMANSHIP] HAS BEEN GRANTED TO PLAYER]
[SKILL [SHIELD MASTERY] HAS BEEN GRANTED TO PLAYER]
"System, show me my skills." Wondering what they do, Leon opened the skill panel.
[SKILLS]
[PARALYZING STRIKES (2/5): From every 3 attacks, 1 one paralyzes the enemy that causes them to get slower and decrease their reflex speed. When skill is activa...]
[BASIC WEAPON TECHNIQUE (PASSIVE) (CAN NOT BE UPGRADED): Player deals extra %10 damage with any kind of weapon.]
[SWORDSMANSHIP (PASSIVE) (1/50): When player uses sword as a primary weapon, every attack dealt by sword will be %4 strengthened. Each time this skill is upgraded, buff percentage will increase and the player will better understand the path of the sword.]
[SHIELD MASTERY (1/5): When shield in use, for a certain time, player will take %10 less damage. Uses 40 MP and stays active for 1 minute.]
Taking a sword out of his inventory., Leon instantly noticed the sudden power increase when he held it. Swinging it to test for a few minutes, he finds out not only power but also the control he has over the sword has increased too. But the real improvement is not either of these. The real thing that shocked Leon was the connection between him and the sword. With this connection, Leon knows how much force he needs to cut something, how wide the attack range his sword has, which attack would be more fatal or which angle he needs to use to deal more damage, how he should encounter an incoming attack. Leon was able to know all of these with the connection between him and the sword. Heck, he can even see the shape of his sword in his mind when he closes his eyes. Training for some more time, he noticed that he gets tired harder from swinging the sword. And this is not because he increased his vitality, because unlike before, he doesn't use his power roughly.
"T-these are really good. Not very strong for now. But they will certainly be in the future." Leon said with excitement while thinking about their potential power in the future. He is sure that with these he will be the death cause of many.
Normally, he was going to train himself to the peak limit of his current level, but now, can't resist longer, he decides to enter the next trial to try them in actual battle. After all, he still is the same Leon who is burning with fighting love.
[DO PLAYER WANT TO GO TO THE NEXT TRIAL?]
"Hell yes!," Leon said while holding his sword's hilt...

Over countless lifetimes, Bu Bian has always squandered his potential on drunken schemes and foolhardy attempts to become rich. Only his endless ability to kiss up to the almighty judge of the afterlife has kept him from being thrown into hell. When his latest reincarnation ends in another disaster of his own making, the judge sets him an ultimatum -- redeem his thoroughly filthy karma in a single lifetime, or be sentenced to ten-thousand years of suffering, Alas, Bu Bian might well be incurable, and his attempts to do good can only lead to even worse disasters.
8 161The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

With some exploring of the lands, even though they are technically the same person the clones will have their own adventures that tie into the larger plot.

"I know that we've all come to terms with our... losses, our predicament. You have no choice but to fight, hold your weapon tight, and run across the hell of the battlefield... You're no longer students of the school we used to attend. Not anymore. Not till we get home. For now, you will call yourselves... ...Gladiators." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When young students of a prestigous private school found themselves stuck in a world beyond their wildest imagination, they fight for their lives to complete the mission given to them the moment they entered. "Earn the title of Grandmaster and forfeit your life to ascend into the heavens. Let your soul purify in whole as it scatters across the different dimensions of the universes' plane." Or... something along those lines. Thankfully, the only hope these 28 students could lean on to are the four least most expected people to start leading them as full fledged leaders. Why? 8 78Jealous. (Gruvia)
He truly did adore her, it was just hard for him to profess. He was never good with his way of words, and they all knew it.It was rigid of him to divulge, and he never will. Gray Fullbuster may just be the biggest bastard when jealousy reeked in the air. But, there are always bad consequences leading to his absurd mood- and there are always good ones.
