"Let the battle begin!"

The voice of Frederick resounded throughout the battle arena and stadium as the figures in the arena dashed toward each other!

Well, at least that was what the crowd expected but neither of the figures dashed toward one another...

"Who are you?... I've never seen you in the sect before!"

The seductive female voice of a beauty with long fluttering blue hair and sparkling blue eyes resounded in Athena's ears as she replied...

"I do not see why my origin is any of your business."

THRUM!

Her emotionless tone in speaking, along with her cold eyes irked most who gazed at her, while these same features caused the interest of a certain white-haired male High-Human sitting in the crowd to be piqued.

Something about the cold and aloof aura that Athena radiated caused Blade to be drawn toward her, as he was reminded of his first sweetheart back in his home world!

Sabrina, the blue-haired figure, instantly felt an intense feeling of wrath ripple throughout her body, when hearing how rudely Athena spoke toward her.

The worst part was the fact that the neutral tone in which Athena spoke made it out to seem as if she didn't even find the way she spoke with Sabrina, rude.

"It seems your parents didn't teach you the proper way to speak to an elder," Sabrina replied.

Her words caused a shift in expression from Athena as she replied with visible anger!

"My parents, you act as if you aren't aware of who they are!

Surely you at the very least remember me, my hair is quite hard to forget...?" Athena said as she pointed toward the fiery red hair on her head.

Her words caused Sabrina confusion which lasted only a few seconds as her mind sifted through her many memories until finally...

Athena, seeing her opponent's eyes bulge in shock, smirked coldly as she then stated...

"Yes, the same parents you say failed to properly raise me, were killed by you and your group when you came into my town and kidnapped all the children, so they could join this Demonic Sect! I am not sure if it was for a mission or not, but it is unacceptable.

For that, you will die in this arena!"

THRUM!!

Her shocking words raised an eyebrow from Blade as his eyes were once more laid bare to the brutality of this world.

From Athena's words, Blade realized that the sect may be the ones responsible for Athena's parents' deaths.

Blade felt great anger, and it wasn't because he felt pity toward Athena, after all, he also lost both his parents in front of his eyes...

It was because he realized he couldn't even trust the Sect!

It seemed as if he couldn't possibly risk trusting anyone in this world.

It seemed as if even the God that humans had faith in had forgotten about this world, and left it to drift away in the dregs of space.

In this world where humans were the demons, Blade finally felt as if he could die at any second, as his previous casualness disappeared.

Unnoticeable to him and any other person present, when these horrific realizations drummed throughout his mind, an aura that was akin to the void of space was released from his body.

In a millisecond, Blade's eyes morphed from his crystal blue eyes to an ink-black pair of eyes.

In this millisecond, every entity present inside the arena, and simultaneously throughout the world trembled as their skin paled.

Yet, most didn't even realize such a change since right after appearing, it disappeared as a golden aura seemingly suppressed it in an instant...

In this same instant, Blade's eyes transformed into a golden color similar to when Blade was possessed by the system, as before long, it also disappeared.

As stated before, even Blade was unable to perceive these changes, since they took place so quickly...!

Somewhere located inside a dark and mysterious space, the bright red eyes of a mysterious entity could be the only thing seen.

The two red lights were soo far away that one wouldn't dare assume that it was the eyes of an actual living lifeform...

"HEHEHE...

IT SEEMS THAT THIS ONE'S AWAKENING IS DRAWING CLOSER...

SOON, EVERYTHING WOULD COME AS IT SHOULD...

AND THOSE DAMN FOOLS, THEIR END IS NEAR!!!"

"Do you truly think that you can harm me with those simple attacks?!" Sabrina said in her haughty voice.

She was seamlessly avoiding the many punches and kicks that were continuously sent her way by the red-haired Athena.

On the other hand, Athena simply smirked coldly as shockingly the speed at which she sent her attacks doubled in an instant!

BAM!

Athena's right fist landed on Sabrina's cheek, sending her shooting backward as blood escaped her lips and splattered on the ground.

"It seems that I truly van harm you with these simple attacks!..." Athena smiled and replied to Sabrina's previous taunts while Sabrina got up to her feet.

Staring into those eyes filled with wrath, Athena then casually stamped her right foot on the metal ground, causing many sharp shards of steel to come out of the ground and shoot upwards.

In that same instance, a Sabrina who was filled with immense anger lunged toward Athena with the intent to kill clear from her eyes...

She didn't intend to use any special technique to fight Athena since she deemed it unnecessary to be soo serious against a kid many years younger than her!

As the shards of metal descended toward the floor of the battle arena, Athena showcased extreme precision and speed as she kicked every piece of shard which fell to the ground.

Her kicks were quick thus the weaker people in the crowd were unable to perceive how many kicks she released in the second that it took for all seven shards to be sent flying toward Sabrina.

On the other hand, an already lunging Sabrina was unable to react in the time necessary to dodge since the speed at which these shards came was comparable to the speed of a bullet shot from the average handgun of modern times...

*PUCHI*

The sound of these metal shards penetrating her chest entered Blade's ears as he could only shake his head at the stupidity displayed by this human called Sabrina.

The entity we know as Blade couldn't possibly understand the arrogance built up from many years of constant battling and winning these battles.

In this world where anyone's life could be taken in mere instances, battling for one's life was an everyday occurrence.

It was similar to a culture, and when one continuously survives in a world such as this even after experiencing these life-ending events, a certain indescribable pride would creep into one's soul.

It was the only thing that one could take pride in as there was nothing other than fighting and killing that these humans knew to properly do.

Everything these humans who resided in this world did was to eventually help them in killing their opponents.

From creating Sects so as to gather forces to strike at their enemies with armies, to joining Sects so as to gain status and power so that they would gain resources and be able to surpass their own enemy's strength, eventually, being able to kill them!

Fighting and Killing...

Something that if one is good in, they would be able to rule this world...

Something that if one is good in, makes one permitted to possess a deadly human sin called pride.

This sin called pride would then be nurtured and evolved into pure arrogance that the race of humans was known for...

As the events that would eventually lead a human to possess this sin wasn't yet undergone by Blade, he was unable to comprehend why these humans acted the way they did.

And as someone coming from a 'pure' world and was yet to be tainted by the sin known as pride, Blade may be one of the few to be able to prevent this evil concept from corrupting his soul...!

The loud cheers of the crowd signaled the end of the fourteenth match to take place as somewhere inside the crowd, one can see the figure of Blade who sat with his eyes closed and arms folded.

No, instead of simply sitting with his eyes closed, the quiet but still present noise of snoring could be heard as one would realize that Blade had seemingly found himself dozing off...

"Once more, another match has gone by, and another death of a contestant. Well, I don't think you people care much about such a fact since you're instead excited for the final match of these preliminaries...!"

Frederick's voice resounded throughout the battle arena as all the spectators replied with loud bellows that shook the very stadium itself!

"Ok, let's hear it for the two contestants of this final battle...

Firstly, please welcome this tournament's favorite competitor, Axel Heart!"

OOOHHHHHHHH!

Frederick shouted as it was replied by the loudest bellow of the day by the crowd as one can see the figure of a boy with shoulder-length brown hair jumping from the stand and into the battle arena.

Impacting onto the metallic battle arena, a loud explosion went on to take place as it also cause the whole stadium to rumble...
