《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》Joining The Heavenly Demon Sect II

"Hmm, I guess I should peacefully say it." Blade mumbled under his breath as he adorned a calm and somewhat dazzling smile that would have caused butterflies to appear in the stomach of any female who saw it... if not for the bloodied clothes he was adorned in.
Wanting to show them some sort of respect even though he didn't think it was necessary for humans weaker than him, Blade cupped his hand and slightly bowed.
"I'm Blade Pure-Heart, a rogue cultivator In the Meridian Opening Realm. Do I have any way to join the Heavenly Demon Sect?"
Instantly after hearing Blade's words, the expressions of the two figures guarding the gates changed.
Meridian Opening Realm!
What stupidity was this person in front of them spouting?
One must know that they had been trying to enter the meridian opening realm for years now, yet they haven't been able to.
Yet, the brat in front of them seemed to take them for a joke if he thought that he could fool them with such lies...!
Unlike what people would think, the Heavenly Demon Sect was rather orderly.
Every three years there would be a famous event in the Outer Sect, and every six years, those who haven't shown much improvement in their cultivation would be kicked out of the Sect.
And, as you've probably guessed, the pair of guards tasked with guarding the entrance of the Heavenly Demon Sect gates were a pair of middle-aged men who hadn't made much progress in the past five years.
It was very close to the event that took place every three years, and the duo's situation wasn't looking good.
With this knowledge in the back of their mind, they were under continuous scrutiny and pressure from disciples who once were their equals.
The knowledge of being on the list of people meant to be kicked out very soon caused their mentality to change. One can say that they have become short-tempered humans who were looking for someone to release their anger on.
The appearance of Blade, seemingly a gift from the heavens...
"It seems that we must teach this brat a lesson about liars!"
One of the men who had a ruffled beard said.
The other guard nodded their head as their eyes flashed with lights of brutality.
Seeing this, Blade smirked. Even though he was slightly naive, he knew what that look was, and Blade couldn't help but laugh sadistically.

Why?
It was because in front of his eyes was a screen showcasing two statuses.

[Title: Waste]
[Ability: None]
[Race: Human]
[Lifespan: 29/117]
[Gender: Male]
[Body Cultivation: Rank 9, Body Forging]
[Soul Cultivation: Null]
[Notice: Even though he is slightly more talented than his martial arts brother, this doesn't change the fact that he is an absolute disappointment of a cultivator who has no right to even think of going against the will of the host.
This human deserves death...]
...
The words on the screens were the main reason for Blade's calm smirk as he realized he had met two side characters that he could probably even kill without getting any repercussions...!
"You... are you two sure that you want to fight me for absolutely no reason, instead of simply allowing me to enter the Heavenly Demon Sect?"
For one last time, Blade asked the duo of Body Forging Cultivators. Yet, even after seeing Blade's kindness, they didn't even bother to reply and instead dashed toward Blade with their swords already unsheathed.
Sigh!
"It seems that all humans are the same. Entities no worse than the so-called demons...!" Blade mumbled under his breath.
Gazing at the tip of the two swords which approached him at an incredible speed, Blade's relaxed and seemingly bored expression showcased how mismatched the power of the three was.
With a control sequence of movements, Blade easily evaded the attacks made by the pair of arrogant Body Forging guards!
Without moving a step back, Blade showcased an amazing show of flexibility as he dodged the attacks that were continuously being sent toward his direction.
"Do you see, you never had a chance against someone a whole major realm above your own.
Especially someone like me who is leagues above the average Rank 1 Meridian Opening cultivator!"
THRUM!
Blade's overbearing words caused the expressions of the duo of guards to freeze as their grips on the handle of their sword loosened.
What Blade said was right.
Their continuous attacks were not working as Blade seamlessly evaded without any visible trouble.

Seeing their expressions, and sensing their movements, Blade chopped both wrists of his opponents, causing their grips on the handle to loosen soo much that the swords dropped to the ground.
The pain from Blade's casual attack was hurtful enough to pull them out of their shocked state as the situation properly registered in their brains.
Blade's bloodied clothing reeking the foul smell of dried blood, and his intimidating presence, caused dreadful levels of anxiety to seep into the duo's heart!
Their feet unknowingly began to walk backward, similar to the time Blade first met Adrian.
This time there wasn't any wall as Blade slowly approached the pair of guards who trotted back in fear...
"Oh my, it seems that you arrogant things can also feel fear!"
With a sadistic smirk on his face, Blade's words that reeked of killing intent entered the duo's ears.
These words were spoken in a tone akin to the voice of a demon as the Body Forging duo couldn't help but break out in cold sweat.
Their legs suddenly felt like mush as they dropped to their backsides.
Blade's current appearance of dried blood all over his clothing and even on his face added to the fact that there was a sadistic smirk that was nothing like the Blade of yesterday before losing consciousness, caused the duo of guards to feel as if there was a fiend in human skin standing in front of them.
Finally, Blade appeared inches away from the duo as he slowly bent over.
His long hair which was a mixture of silver, grey, and white fell over his head as his sadistic smirk transformed into a beautiful smile.
It was a smile that could have taken the breath of any average human away.
It was simply that beautiful, and even though Blade was male, there were plenty of men who would have felt butterflies in their stomachs after seeing the smile.
If not for the situation they found themselves in, the pair of guards would have fallen into that group of men.
"P-Please spare us...!"
With a muster of great will, one of the guards with a ruff beard mumbled his sentence to Blade who still had that smile on his face.
But, instantly after hearing his plea, Blade's expression froze as his smile disappeared...!
"Spear you...?
Hahaha..."
In a burst of demonic laughter, Blade gazed up to the skies with a bright smile on his face as what seemed to be a teardrop fell from his right eye.
"The other day I murdered an innocent infant, yet you expect me, someone, who was tortured by you humans, to actually spare your pathetic life, even after you tried to fight, and kill me.
You must be joking... right?"
Blade's words resounded in the minds of the two guards as the realization of their already sealed fate caused their skins to pale.
BAM!
Right after that realization, Blade grabbed their heads at a speed that they both were unable to react to as he slammed them to the ground...!
CRUSH!
Blood and lumpy brain matter splattered across the ground as it also splashed onto Blade's face, once more blooding him up.
Getting to his feet, Blade assessed his surroundings and his situation as he questioned what to do.
On the one hand, he wanted to enter the Heavenly Demon Sect since they seemed to be incredibly influential. Meaning that it may be safer here than simply rouging around the planet.
Plus, he didn't want to anger the mysterious figure, Adrian...
But, on the other hand, he had just killed both guards of the Heavenly Demon Sect while still being an outsider.
Wasn't this action declaring war on the whole Sect?!
Reaching this conclusion, Blade began cold sweating as he realized that in a fit of stupidity, he had just fucked himself sideways!...
With his commonsense suggesting to begin sprinting away from the gates of the Heavenly Demon Sect, Blade slowly began turning around as he intended to start a long and never-ending sprint but...
"Your worries aren't necessary. These two were going to be kicked out of this Sect very soon anyway, so what you did us is actually a service to the sect by making our job easier...!"
An aged voice entered Blade's ears as in the corner of his eye, he caught the sight of a figure suddenly appearing next to him.
"Before you ask, I am the warden of the Outer Sect, and also the true guard of the Outer Sect's gates!"
THRUM!!

The Afterlife, And How To Survive It (Barely)
Larry Foulery's monotonous, directionless life changed drastically, when he got shot in the face. Reincarnated into a new world, where he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and with the honor and dedication of an part-time fast food cashier, he is ready to face this adventure. Kinda. The story takes place in the cynical world of Afterlife, where status screens and are considered normal, and the rule of physics cry in a corner, because nobody cares about them, and they are alone and lonely, and their family hasn't called them in years. Anyways, have fun. BTW don't stare too long into the story cover. I get the feeling it stares back. I'm trying to improve my writing, so feel free to bombard me with criticism.
