《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》Joining The Heavenly Demon Sect I

Even if Blade was slightly apprehensive at the thought of trusting this figure, Adrian was leagues above Blade's strength, and Blade knew this, so he had no choice but to follow Adrian's command and approach him.
Blade did not want to risk his life, so without any visible hesitation, Blade slowly approached Adrian who had a calm smile while a boat-like structure a few meters long appeared behind him.
While taking a seat on the wooden boat, he gestured for Blade to hop on and sit behind him. With no other choice in the matter, Blade also did the same, as right after, Blade realized that his scenery suddenly became blurry...!
...
"In this plane, there are many locations where talented individuals gather.
These locations are normally ruled by an organization who, when reaching a certain threshold in the number of members in their organization, would then be able to call themselves a Sect!
On the main continents, one would find many mysterious and powerful Sects that send elders of their Sect to these waste continents to create branches of the Sect here in the waste continents.
This is so they can properly scout talented individuals throughout the planet, and hopefully be lucky enough to gain a genius or two that can help their cause..."
Listening on carefully was Blade who sat in a lotus position with an emotionless expression.
It had been almost a full day since he had met this mysterious figure and the shock he once felt from realizing that the boat was flying through the skies, had already subsided.
In the past two dozen hours, Blade was able to learn many things about this world he found himself in.
Even though Adrian was slightly suspicious of the fact that Blade's knowledge of the world was akin to a newborn, he did not think too long about it since he could care less about the mysteries behind a dead man.
THRUM!
Yes, in Adrian's mind, after seeing how gullible Blade was, Adrian already presumed that Blade would easily be killed in the future. Yet, even with this knowledge, he did not plan to stop with his schemes, hence the reason he even allowed Blade to be in his esteemed presence...!
Adrian had a cold smirk on his face while he patiently explained the workings of this planet that would put even some of the people in this world who claim to be knowledgeable to shame.

Lights of expectations flickered in his eyes as his plans unfolded seamlessly.
'Such a shame that I already know you as a man, otherwise, with that appearance of yours, hehe...' Adrian thought in his mind while he gazed at the earth below...
"So, where exactly are you taking me...?
You claimed that this place would be substantial for my growth?"
Blade beckoned when realizing that the trip on this flying both had long surpassed a day's worth of time... Adrian on the other hand merely pointed down to the earth below.
Blade clicked his tongue in annoyance since, unlike Adrian, he was unable to see what he pointed at since they were currently in the clouds.
"The branch Sect of the Heavenly Demon Sect. One of the strongest Sects of this world, as even its branch is one of the main rulers of this waste continent.
The leader of this Sect is one of the few people in this plane able to pose a threat to us Cosmic Punishers...!"
THRUM!!
Adrian's shocking confession caused Blade to feel an immense shock. In his mind, the Cosmic Punishers were some sort of invincible people since they seemed to be the protectors of the whole universe...
Yet merely on this planet, some people could pose them a threat...?!
"Don't look at me like that, we are merely trainees on assessment. Tasked with cleansing this planet, if we fail, of course, it'll mean our death.
Thereafter, the residents of this planet would also face the wrath of an actual team of members of the Cosmic Punishers...!"
When sensing the obvious drop of fawning in Blade's eyes, Adrian replied instantly to clarify some doubts stating that he, along with Asmodeus and the rest of their team were merely some Cosmic Punisher Trainees instead of actual members...!
"Anyway, that isn't much important now is it." Adrian followed up while the boat began descending like a meteor toward the earth down below. The alarmed Blade holding to their life as he tried to retain some semblance of calm when falling to his seemingly inevitable death.
His ability to retain said calm acted up as his face didn't reveal any sort of fearful emotion. In a few seconds, the duo appeared on the ground, and on a pathway made of dirt that was in the middle of two massive mountains.

"A valley?!"
Blade muttered in confusion when seeing his new surroundings.
Without warning, his body was pushed out as he reacted quickly and elegantly landed on the dirt flooring!
"Yes, a valley. Simply walk straight to the end of this dirt road, and you'll appear in front of the location of the Heavenly Demon Branch.
Simply explain to them that you are already a Meridian Opening cultivator, and I'm sure they'll happily take you in..."
BZZZT!
Without warning, Adrian's boat shot toward the skies once more, this time at a speed that completely surpassed its previous one when Blade was on it!
Blade was left shocked by the situation he found himself in as he felt like he was some sort of goods being dropped off.
With no other option though, Blade decided that he would enter the Heavenly Demon Branch.
His goal was immortality, but to get immortality, he needed Life energy, and to make sure he had enough Life energy to reach immortality, he needed a substantial amount of strength to cleanse this planet of its parasites.
To increase his strength, Blade then began his short journey to the gates of the Heavenly Demon Branch...
Without realizing it, Blade was playing right into the palms of Adrian who, unlike other hidden bosses, decided to take physical form in his schemes and guide his target to do whatever he wanted...!
If not for the warning of his captain, Asmodeus, Adrian would have long killed Blade with his own hands!!...
...
"To think that he was soo ignorant and foolish. Hmm, was he acting stupid, or is he truly soo dumb...?"
While relaxing on his small boat that spanned a few meters, Adrian muttered out his thoughts on Blade. A smirk was present since he knew his plans would unfold as easily as a hot knife slicing through butter.
But, right after, his bright and relaxed smirk turned into a cold and sadistic one as he said.
"Well, I guess it's time that my second phase begins. It is time to meet my pawns, as thereafter, I'll then go on to instigate the third phase.
And even though I shouldn't be doing all of this to simply get rid of one weakling, it is always better to be safe than sorry..."
His boat parted through the skies at an even quicker speed as he finished muttering to himself...
As the clogs behind the scene began spinning rapidly, and many events leading up to Blade's rebirth began taking place, the main character appeared in the front of a massive gate that was protected by two young males.
...
"Huh? Who are you, kid?!"
A middle-aged man with short black hair and a barely visible beard shouted toward Blade who was left slightly surprised by the hostile gaze he received as soon as he appeared in front of the Heavenly Demon Branch gates.
Blade was in a good mood.
At first, he was slightly suspicious of the figure who appeared in front of him, but when realizing that he had simply left him alive, Blade's previous suspiciousness instantly disappeared.
After all, Adrian was soo much stronger than Blade. There was no reason to leave him alive if he had any ill intention.
Blade knew Adrian could wipe him from existence if he ever wanted to, and although that angered him because of his weakness, it also caused him to think that Adrian was an ally who held the same world views as himself.
Even though he experienced a lot of different things in a month after entering this world, it was still only a month. And most importantly, it was a month that was spent mostly with wildlife.
Blade wasn't the least bit understanding of the cunningness of the humans. He did not have a level of mentality that prevented his current ignorance and naivety.
Anyway, since Adrian, someone of immense strength, told him that he would easily be able to enter the Heavenly Demon Branch when revealing his realm of power, Blade didn't expect to undergo any trouble...
But, the tone that the figure spoke with, made it painfully obvious that they weren't anywhere near as calm and understanding as Blade would expect from the guards of an extremely strong sect.
"Hmm, I guess I should peacefully say it." Blade mumbled under his breath as he adorned a calm and somewhat dazzling smile that would have caused butterflies to appear in the stomach of any female who saw it... if not for the bloodied clothes he was adorned in.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
