《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》Level 3 Reward

'It's no wonder that the old pervert still hasn't gotten up.' Blade thought when seeing that the man seemed to be unable to get to his feet.
Even though Blade had only cracked his skull, it seemed that these Zombies were weak with attacks toward the head, making it extremely hard for them to regain their bearing after their skull is damaged.
.
.
.
CRUNCH SPLASH!!!
Blade stamped on the head of the pervert in Zombie form, crushing his skull and causing brain matter to splatter on the forest ground. Even though his right arm seemed to be twisted and his left arm bone penetrated its skin, Blade's expression remained emotionless, as if it didn't affect him a bit.
Surrounding Blade was four more headless bodies littered on the ground. They all had blood exiting their necks and permeating the dirt ground of the forest. Seeing it, Blade's eyes shined with a certain light. Even though he cared little about killing and blood, seeing it like this with a calm mind, Blade realized that he seemed to not fancy the blood.
"I find it disgusting." Blade uttered.
"But, it's a must. This city along with the humans of this planet needs a proper cleaning. If I'm to become the strongest and gain my well-deserved immortality, I'll need to be able to bath in an ocean of dead bodies and blood..."
Blade said with determination. Right after, a holographic screen that contained shocking words mysteriously appeared in front of his eyes.
[Two Low-Level Body Forging Zombies: 200 EXP]
[Two Mid-Level Body Forging Zombies: 400 EXP]
[One High-Level Body Forging Zombie: 300 EXP]
[Total Experience points: 930/500]
{Would the host like to upgrade the system now?}
"How...this shouldn't be possible...wait, does them being Zombies cause this?!" Blade muttered in disbelief. He immediately exited the mist with his injured body as he intended to head back to his home with a smirk on his face. After all, now that he could upgrade his system, he cared little for the reason and more for the consequences which will end in his strength increasing.
{Under normal circumstances, the host would gain 10 points after killing a Low-Level Body Forging lifeform, but that concept is only for low-level races. The higher the level of a race, the more points the host would gain for killing them...}

Hearing this, Blade couldn't help but feel his blood boil in excitement. Though he wasn't one to go out of his way to kill people simply for experience points, if he is truly desperate to increase his strength, then he'll unhesitatingly try to find these higher-level races...!
With this in mind and even though he had some serious injuries, Blade blissfully exited the mist and parted the bushes as he re-entered the place where he fought the ape creature. Right after, he once more parted some bushes and entered the trail as he dashed toward the cave that's come to be his home.
But, what he and even the system didn't realize, was the fact that there were a few pairs of eyes that gazed at him with obvious interest...!
.
.
.
Back at the mysterious gathering of mist, standing on top of a tree branch, one can see the figure of a male with blonde hair. He adorned an all-black modern-day tactical suit with a black gas mask on his face. His cold green irises locked on the person who sat on a tree branch across from him as he said in an angered tone.
"Jacob...Why? Answer me, why did you let him live. Knowing you, I know you wouldn't allow someone to kill your pets, yet you simply let him live after he killed the people who you transformed?!"
His deep voice and eyes that reeked of killing intent would scare anyone who saw it. Yet, the figure sitting on the branch who was adorned in the same attire as the blonde-haired male and had short night-black hair and creepy void-like pupils shrugged his shoulder while answering.
"Adrian, I am unsure if you truly want to know the reason why he isn't dead already. We both know that you only wanted me to kill him because he looks so much like our captain. Don't make your petty unrequited love affect your thinking." Jacob replied
RUMBLE!!
The whole forest suddenly darkened with a killing intent that caused even Blade many meters away to shiver in fear enshrouded the whole forest. Adrian gazed with an angered pair of eyes toward Jacob as he was ready to kill him!...
"Stop it!!" Jacob shouted in alarm. His eyes showcased traces of fear as his body trembled in obvious fright.

His actions stunned and confused Adrian soo much that he momentarily exited his state of anger!...
Even though he was strong and threatening, he knew Jacob would never become frightened from a little killing intent such as this, so what was the reason for his sudden outburst?
"You... are you angry with my decision of allowing him to leave the base alive?!"
A sweet and feminine voice suddenly entered Adrian's ear, shocking him to the core as he felt as if his surrounding space was contorting and strangling him.
With all the strength he could muster to resist, he shook his head from side to side while not daring to gaze at the figure that had somehow appeared in front of him.
"I see. Well, be careful of your actions, I almost killed you. I don't want to misjudge your intentions another time, so be careful of what you say." The figure stated casually. Jacob shivered in fear when seeing the back of the figure.
The long waist-length white hair that shone splendorous under the night's moon and the plump ass of the female would entice any male, yet Jacob didn't feel any lust when seeing it and instead downright fear.
Thereafter, in a puff of black smoke, the figure disappeared as Adrian fell to the dirt ground of the forest and landed on his knees.
"This is why I left him alive. It seems Captain Asmodeus has somehow already taken an interest in him." Jacob said while appearing to help Adrian to his feet.
Adrian seemingly gritted his teeth in anger as his eyes showcased jealousy and wrath when he thought about Blade.
"I know you have a crush on the leader but, I'll warn you right now. If you try to directly harm that kid, I'll have no choice but to fight you to the death." Jacob stated with a firm killing intent that didn't rampage through the forest but instead washed over only where Adrian was located.
"Hurt him...directly...never, I'll not hurt him...directly..." Adrian mumbled under his breath with a sadistic smirk plastered on his pale-looking face.
.
.
.
Back in the depths of the cave, one can see the figure of Blade gripping his chest in obvious pain. His gritted teeth and clenched fist made it obvious he was undergoing an immense amount of pain...!
"Oh fuck...for all things unholy!!!" Blade mumbled in pain. The pain was soo much that he cursed for the first time in his life. As blood escaped his lips from biting down on his gum, Blade's consciousness began dissipating.
.
.
.
ARGHHH!
Even with the sudden reappearance in a completely new location, the pain Blade felt did not give him time to process the shocking occurrence. In the misty realm Blade's illusionary body which was previously a pristine white and ethereal humanoid entity that was seemingly around 6'2 tall suddenly began expanding.
The illusionary ethereal body slowly became taller and even more refined and elegant. The transformation continued slowly and the longer it took, the more pain Blade felt.
Eventually, the illusionary body of Blade stopped growing when it reached a height of 6'6 while on his forehead, a golden dot that radiated a type of holiness formed.
The pain Blade felt eased as he shot his eyes open, revealing a pair of golden pupils that could mesmerize anyone who saw it. Thereafter, his consciousness descended into his physical body as he shot his physical eyes open revealing his splendid pair of crystal blue irises.
But, for a moment, the pair of crystal blue irises along with his pupils changed to a golden color similar to his soul form's eyes...! Yet, Blade didn't realize such a minute change since it lasted a mere instance.
"So, what is the reward for upgrading you to level 3?" Blade uttered out loud to seemingly no one. His voice which contained obvious excitement resounded in the emptiness of the cave.
{Does the host want the reward now?} The system replied.
"Don't you know that you shouldn't reply to a question with another question?!" Blade muttered. But, he didn't mind it at all as he simply agreed to the system's request and extended his hand, expecting a pill to appear. Maybe, some pill named Meridian Opening Pill, if ever there was one...
ARGHHH!
Yet, contrary to his expectation of a pill, a sudden head-splitting headache assaulted Blade. It was a headache that forced him to grab his head in pain and grit his teeth to not scream and alarm any beast that was close to the cave...!

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
