《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》System Upgrade?

Hearing the system's words, Blade nodded his head in understanding before he then sat in a meditative state and began following the breathing scripture of the body art.
He did not mind how long it took, it mattered not if his strength rose slowly or not as long as it rose while also raising his lifespan.
No matter what, he'll get his revenge, and then go on to become eternal!

(1 Week Later)
Boom Boom Boom Boom!...
Inside the depths of the darkness of the cave, one can see the body of Blade lying motionlessly on the floor as soft noises that sounded like explosions released from his body. Although he seemed to be in great pain, his eyes contained firm determination.
'This pain is nothing compared to what I went through last week!' Blade thought. Soon after, the explosions ended, and he slowly stood up to his feet. Gazing at his hands, he clenched his fists as he then began walking in a random direction.
*Bam*
With a casual punch toward the cave walls, Blade caused a mini-explosion as the outline of his fist was left imprinted on the wall. Sensing this result, Blade couldn't help but smile as he then went on to say...
"After a week of constant cultivation, I have finally reached the Mid-Level of Body Forging, but what is even better is the fact that..." Before he finished, a screen popped up in front of his eyes that showcased his current level of stats.
[Host: Blade]
[System: Level 1]
[Experience points: 10/100]
[Title: Unregistered]
[Race: High Human (? Sealed)]
[Lifespan: 16/150]
[Gender: Male]
[Body Cultivation: Mid-Level Body Forging (Comparable To High-level Body Forging]
[Soul Cultivation: Null]
"Normally, my strength would only be a Mid-Level Body Forging, but thanks to my bloodline, I could probably fight even a High-Level Body Forging." Blade said with a smirk on his face. Right after, he then began walking in the same direction where he came from when crawling into this cave while saying.
"Hmm, I wonder, did that creature enjoy the taste of my leg, because I kind of feel hungry for revenge." Blade said with an evil smile on his face. His eyes showcased slight intent to kill as he knew that his current strength was easily enough to kill that monster.
Soon, he exited the cave's mouth, as he was assaulted by the bright green-colored sun that he hadn't seen in over a week. Closing his eyes on instinct, Blade reopened them while covering them from the sunlight. Slowly they grew accustomed, as thereafter, he began analyzing his surroundings.

What appeared was a dazzling green-colored lake that blocked his path toward heading in the direction of the city. Floating in the water, was what Blade made out to be a few logs, but on closer examination, he realized just what they truly were.
Blade walked right up to the water and then picked a stone from the floor. He then emotionlessly stabbed the rock into his skin as he then threw the rock away. Pouring some of his blood into the water before the wound healed, Blade watched as the crocodile-like creatures slowly swam toward his direction.
When seeing this, he smiled. Soon after, the beasts reached his location as he once more equipped a bigger and sharper rock before he then jumped into the water. He jumped head-first as he embedded the rock deep into the head of one of the beasts.
As red blood contaminated the water, another crocodile-like creature made its way toward Saber. Its speed increased instantly when reaching a meter radius of Saber, shocking him in the process.
He, who had never hunted once in his life, couldn't understand how these beasts worked. So, as the beast opened its jaws, and before Blade could fully react, he was on the receiving end of the sharp jagged teeth of the creature tearing apart his left leg calf muscle.
ARGHHHH!
He yelped in pain yet, he didn't lose focus. Compared to the pain he felt in the previous week, this was child's play! He then sent a punch toward the creature that was floating in the water. A punch that was made deadly by the sharp rock in between his middle and ring fingers.
*Puchi*
Blade's attack penetrated the skin of the creature, yet he did not stop there as he began pummeling the creature to cause more blood to permeate the waters. He had made it his goal to kill every crocodile inside this river, and seducing them with the blood of their kind was the easiest way to gather them in one place
It was finally time to mark the day that he had gotten some sort of revenge on the lifeforms that caused him pain. It was to say...
'Whoever harms me, will pay. But, not just them, as their family and friend will also pay!'
So with that, and with the creature's mindless thinking, many more beasts came. Blade grew accustomed to the waters as he dodged the sudden bursts of speed that the creatures would use when they are close to him.

He would then send an attack of his own with the rock in hand. This sequence continued for quite some time until eight dead bodies were floating in the river waters. Blade crossed the pond as he stepped onto land once more. A screen then appeared in front of his view.
[80 Experience Points]
Since his leg had already healed, Saber began walking in the direction he had once come from. He wanted to simply inspect the place where he was located since he had planned to stay here for quite some time...well, at least until he was strong enough to carry out his revenge.
"System, how do you calculate how many points I receive?" He asked. Since he was going to hunt beasts along the way he wanted to know the number of points certain beasts would give him. Since he was also interested in upgrading the system, after all, something good might come out of it.
[Body Forging Beasts]
[Low-Level: 10 points]
[Mid-Level: 20 points]
[High-Level: 30 points]
"Hmm, understandable!" Saber mumbled under his breath.
He wasn't going to complain even though he found that increasing the points received by merely ten was kind of stingy from the system. After all, what would complaining do?
He had one ultimate goal in his life, everything else would fall in place, and he knew that every creature he sets his mind to kill, will eventually die!
With this further driving his determination, Blade walked deeper into the forestry. While walking, Blade's movements suddenly halted when he caught sight of a certain movement.
It was the movements of a living creature and with his senses that he had unknowingly honed while constantly being on the brink of death, he was able to tell that he was stronger than this creature. Appearing out of the bush located around two meters away from him, was a snake multiple meters in length. Blade wasted no time when catching sight of the beast and shot toward it.
*Bam*
Blade's left foot seemed to be coming from the high heavens in the view of the creature as before long, its vision turned dark since its head was squashed to pulp juice. Blade's movements were so quick that the creature had no time for its senses to even warn it of Blade.
A smile formed on his face when seeing this as he waited expectantly for the so-called system upgrade.

"Hey! What is this for?!" Blade shouted in disbelief and anger. With the amount of pressure, he's been in for the past week, his nerves were anything but calm, and it was extremely easy for him to turn aggressive.
{This creature isn't even a Low-Level Body Forging lifeform}
Hearing the cold and emotionless words of his system, Blade's mood dropped when he realized that it was a valid reason.
'Since it's like this, I can only search for another creature.' Blade thought while heading deeper into the forestry.
.

.
(10 Mins Later)
Throughout the past ten minutes, Blade somehow did not run across any living creatures and only walked on the trail he had previously come from. His eyes showed boredom but they suddenly lit up with hope when seeing another creature slithering toward him.
"Hmm, why is there another snake?" Blade uttered. Though he found it weird, he cared little since he was interested only in the upgrade the system would get when he killed the creature.
*Bam*
Similar to before, Blade once more killed the creature before it could react. His foot had long dried blood and dirt stuck on it, further corrupting his once tender and milky skin.

[Does the host wish to undergo the upgrade now?]
Seeing such words, he grew confused. Thereafter, more words appeared.
[The system recommends undergoing an upgrade in a non-inhabited area]
Seeing it, Blade clicked his tongue in annoyance as he turned around and began sprinting through the forestry and approached his temporary abode. Soon, Blade appeared in front of the mouth of the cave after crossing the blood-filled waters as he mentally prepared himself to undergo pain once more...

8 177Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
