《The Transcenders》Chapter 21 - Guild Leaders

“Hehe! Die!” Rico was laughing. He wanted his older brother to die. Rico thought Aaron was the only one holding him back from becoming a guild leader. He was the only one left in his family.
Something unpredictable happened. A dazzling red light emerged from within the S-Craft. A second later, a figure bolted out of it and floated in the air. It had red glowy eyes. The colour was the same as Explo’s beams.
It was Isaac, but he didn’t seem alive. He levitated above the S-Craft for a few seconds before spotting a building blocking the path.
The aircraft was about to crash with Aaron and Alex in it.
A red glowy spear suddenly appeared in the air. It crashed into the building and carved a giant hole for the S-Craft to pass through.
Isaac did all of this without moving his arms.
Rico and his two guards couldn’t believe their eyes. They had never heard of or seen such a thing before.
The ship arrived on the other side of the building and bounced onto the ground. Then, it disintegrated.
Alex and Aaron covered their ears throughout the whole process. They were afraid of going deaf from all the noise.
Isaac flew back to their side. His eyes were still glowing as he looked at Alex with an empty gaze.
‘What was that red magic?’ Alex wondered.
However, he didn’t question him since the enemies would catch up to them soon. There was no time left to lose.
“Come on, let’s go!” Isaac had regained his senses and went up ahead.
Still confused about the situation, Aaron and Alex followed him silently. Isaac was just as confused as they were.
…
Rico, Crow and Explo searched for Aaron.
Rico was looking at a tablet. Its screen showed an interactive map of the city.

On it, there was a red marker. As Rico got closer to the moving red dot, it blinked faster and faster.
“He’s here! Under us! Shoot right over there!” Rico ordered while pointing at an alley where the target should be.
Explo started charging her magic canon.
Aaron, Isaac and Alex were running inside the alley. They were very close to the Rocket Ship. Only, they didn’t know it yet.
“We should be safe if we avoid the roads. Keep following me!” said Alex.
He was wrong.
*Bvooom*
The red beam brushed right past him.
Alex widened his eyes. ‘Thankfully, I stopped moving pretty quickly.’
Rico’s ship landed on a roof right next to the alley. “Hello~,” he chuckled.
Aaron and the two brothers climbed up from the wall to their right. They arrived at the same roof.
A fight was bound to happen at any moment. The two sides observed each other without blinking an eye.
“What do you want, Rico?!” Aaron broke the silence.
“Who are you? Why are you targeting us?” Alex asked, taking a step forward.
“You don’t know me? I’m Aaron’s nice little brother! Hehe~”
Aaron was confused. He couldn’t recognize his own brother anymore.
After a bit of reflection, Rico talked again. “You know what? Aaron, you should join me!”
“No! Why can’t you understand? What you are doing is wrong!”
Shocked, Rico held his breath.
Aaron spoke louder, “Our parents would not have wanted this! How could you hand the guild to a traitor? How could you betray them?!”
Rico’s face became red. “Mom and dad stole the guild. It wasn’t their own at first! They killed the Topaz family and stole it from them! That’s why I killed them!”
Aaron Amon felt lightheaded. He wanted to cry. He could have never imagined that Rico was the one who killed Daniel Amon and Elis Leon, their parents. “W-what?”

Alex sighed. He didn’t fully understand the situation between the two brothers, but he decided to give a bit of context.
“Aaron, 20 years ago, your parents, who worked for the Democratic Alliance, fought against the Topaz guild.
After winning, they took over the guild and got excommunicated from any guilds associated with the D.A.”
Isaac followed. “It’s rumoured that they killed the whole Topaz family. Even the children. But that’s-”
Rico intervened. “But one of those children escaped! And that is Jacob Topaz, whom you knew by the name Jacob Raider! The guild’s new leader!”

Although he is a sinner, Noah is a man of principles, not the type of person who likes to do wrong things. Due to living in a bad environment, Noah's personality is very closed, being a careful person, thinking before and after. He has no passion for gambling or prostitution, he prefers quiet places. Note when reading the story: The series has a slow plot, many gore scenes. Not suitable for short-tempered people, love purple, hate lies.
