《A Moth's Stories》A Monster Made, A Child Slain

I’m not a monster. I’m not a monster. IM NOT A MONS…
These were to words I found strewn across the walls, like someone painted with a black molten metal which cooled. Who they belonged to I never knew. But I believe they belong to me. Mostly because I haven’t found anyone else and I don’t remember my past. I awoke alone in a garden with a blackened scorch mark where I lay and a few cracked pieces of metal and bone resting next to me. I searched and called for another, but I found none in this small town. The brick and wooden houses, and cobble streets, the surrounding hedges and forest. No one. Nothing but empty buildings and streets.

The streets are filled with running people as molten metal carves and consncnllakcniiqn
…
As if this small town was abandoned; or never even inhabited.
I entered the houses to find them all destroyed. As if a tornado rushed through, throwing precious photos, still edible food, well-worn furniture, and clothes all around. Claw marks and more of the metal riddle various items. As I searched I come across a large manor which was surrounded with weird indents equally spaces all around the structure. I walk up to the building to see the large wooden doors splintered outwards. A large central staircase led to a upper floor and several doors were visible. Written across the whole scene was two words.
SAVE ME

Cold steel lays across my face as the voices show me as I feel them bnnk oiwq asc lmlsqdicnp

I continue searching, starting with the lower floor. Every room was in ruin as every single building was before. My search eventually went to the second floor where I found in what use to be an office a section in the wall that tunnelled down with spiralling stairs, well past the 1st floor.

…
I descend down the decerped and shredded stairs. The air gets colder as an unknown breeze pushes against me as the scent of blood and metal fill the air. The path showing signs of whatever attacked above having come down here. Or maybe coming from here. I reach the bottom only to find lit torches still burning away in a hallway covered in the black metal. I walk along the flame lit path before coming upon small, untouched room. The room had a door opposite me in the center and two large windows covered in the black metal. I approach the door and slowly open it as metal flakes from it. My sight is greeted by a large red stained room. The smell of blood was significantly stronger in here. In the centre of the room a transparent figure stood wearing a helmet of black metal with bone horns rising from the top. They stared at me before a flash of black spread out from the individual forming words on the floor.
WE ARE THE MONSTER THAT WAS MADE AS THE CHILD WAS SLAIN.

Planet-Eater Reincarnation (in Star Wars)
He wakes up without being able to see, taste or hear. Or even smell! But, after developing an eye for himself, he's able to recognize two facts: one, he is no longer human, and two, he's not on Earth anymore. He's in the middle of an asteroid field, stuck on a moderately large one with nothing around him but endless space. Heck, he's not even in the solar system! And now it's up to him to grow larger and stronger in order to avoid being eaten. Going by the leviathan-sized creatures swimming about the asteroid field, he has a long way to go before he can so much as try to live calmly. ---- Don't let the fanfiction tag scare you off. This only barely takes place in that universe since I like the basics of the lore and nothing more. It will barely feature a single prominent character, and the focus will mostly just be on the main character trying to grow himself out of danger, in the meantime denying the very idea that he could possibly be lonely. The first few dozen chapters will entirely focus on him growing from almost a gnat all the way to a real asteroid-eater. After that, an actual story will appear. Got the idea when I was reading the 2017 Darth Vader comic and my mind suddenly flashed back to that scene in the original trilogy when they're in some asteroid field and almost get eaten by a big monster. I loved that scene, and my inhibitions will no longer chain me. Enjoy, but don't take this too seriously.

From Nothing
Rejoice Humanity! You have been invited to join the Galactic Hegemon. It is time for our Centenary Caste Competition. The best 1% of humanity will be given a 1 cycle tutorial before the 5 cycle contest. Be brave, be bold, but most of all, be strong and earn your place and privileges. Burning red letters hung large in the vision of everyone on earth that knew a written language. At the same moment that smartest, fastest, and strongest people on the planet disappeared with nothing to mark their passing. After a cycle of training and growth they would compete to earn their place in their suddenly expanded galaxy. This is not their story. Joe did his best to take care of his parents house and stay healthy. He was the only one of the four family members not chosen. The societal upheaval made by the announcement made the inflation and purges of the 20's seem pleasant by comparison but he keeps his head down and survives. Once the next message arrives 11 months later about the contest starting, even that society broke down into city states around large population centers. Joe tightened his belt and looked forward to the day that his family returned. Two years later burning red letters once again filled his vision. Humanity, the last of your competitors have been eliminated. Your determined caste level is 13 of 13. As such your planet has been claimed and will be repurposed for ideal resource production. Rifts will be seeded across the planet to increase resources and mana density. Your orbit will be corrected to ideal Hegemon standard. Do not interfere with any Hegemon activity, as the bottom caste you have no rights. Rejoice that all castes receive at least the basic Hegemon Growth System. Better luck next century. Joe didn't comprehend any of it. His family was dead. Everything he cared about was gone.
