After losing balance from Kanata's blow, Akira tried to steady himself while the ice on his feet was slowly breaking and melting. Kazuki then came from the front, with his blade being imbued with light, making it five times longer. He jumped upwards, then dived straight, meaning to stab Akira just like Yato did.

He succeeded in doing so, but there's no effect on him. Magically Akira didn't just vanish from Kentarou's body, he just endured Kazuki's push with blood coming from his mouth, "You... you're just gonna break your friend's body!!" he then choked Kazuki after the blade fully went through and he finally could reach him.

Kazuki was slammed to the ground with great impact. But when Akira was about to punch him again, Kyuuto threw multiple ice spikes to distract him while running. In that short time window, Kazuki managed to roll back to a safer distance. With the momentum he had, Kyuuto launched himself directly in front of Akira.

He slashed him with incredible speed while Akira was still hurt by Kazuki's light sword that was still lodged in his chest, with the blade sprang up from his back making it hard for him to move freely. Kyuuto then managed to grab Kazuki's sword, with this contact, the sword changed element into ice, and froze the enchantment itself. Kyuuto effectively froze a ray of light, making Akira's back even heavier.

Kyuuto then bounced back to keep some distance, now Akira struggles to pull the sword out of his chest, while he already seemed tired from the fight. His rock armor began to crumble with every step he took.

"Let's finish this off," Kyuuto looked at Yato who was behind Akira, "it's over Akira! I know what Kurouzu had done to you... but this is not the way to return your undoing. Just like you, Kentarou had a family, you knew yourself that he lost them right? You saw it with your own eyes!!"

"This is not how you take revenge on the past... I will take care of him, stop controlling your descendant with your ego!!" Kyuuto triggered him even further, forcefully making Akira lose his patience and sanity. From within, Kentarou felt the ease to finally take control of his body again, little by little, he managed to move his limbs.

"How-- dare you-- talk to me like that--?!" Akira tried to break from his inability to stand properly while enduring his host's control.

"Now!!" Kyuuto finally commanded Yato to move, he then conjured a powerful thunderbolt from his blade focused on Kazuki's frozen sword, amplifying his electricity. Akira suffered convulsions from the strike.

From his right side, Kanata rushed to pull Kazuki's sword with the protection of the aura she emitted, while the finisher came from Rin who blasted herself from behind Kyuuto with superhuman speed and force.

"Wake up, Kentarou!!!" she punched Akira right on his chest, creating an explosion of energy right onto the ocean, forming tsunami like waves.

The ancient soul was finally defeated.

After a short time of fainting, Kentarou finally opened his eyes. Akira left his body albeit forcefully, now he regained control of his life completely, "I'm sorry for everything..." he lamented his action while checking his healed chest, "Yato was right... I am not a warrior,"

"It's okay now. After all this," the thunder-element jaeger replied with a smile, "I'm sure the others would understand too," he then carried Kentarou to stand up. Both of them were weak from the excruciating fight. Kyuuto and Kazuki then carried them from either side. After walking while chattering, they finally met Ishigaki who was also carried by other warriors.

"Wait a minute though," Kazuki suddenly stopped and made Yato nearly fell, "how the hell did you do that?" he asked Kyuuto with extreme perplexity.

"Do what?" Kyuuto asked him back, and also stopped his steps.

"You know--- freezing my light?" Kazuki raised his eyebrows even more.

Kyuuto just shrugged and continued to carry Kentarou. The seven then laughed while walking away from the setting sun behind them. Leaving what's behind, and preparing to face new challenges.

"Stop-- I'm begging you--"

In the city, Hoshikawa dragged himself after losing all of his teammates to an enemy he wasn't expecting.

"Please--" he tried to stand up with the help of the zodiac sword, he was beaten really badly with wounds and cuts all over his body. In front of him was a man holding one of his teammates by the neck, then proceeded to execute him with a single slash.

"Brother---"

Kazuki then vanished right after his brother fainted.
